We came up with the 72.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to statevitalrecords.org's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning statevitalrecords.org, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between statevitalrecords.org and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of statevitalrecords.org. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of statevitalrecords.org, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. statevitalrecords.org is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether statevitalrecords.org has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether statevitalrecords.org boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, statevitalrecords.org.

I’m in dire need of birth certificate. Paid 120.00 ish.I checked the box that said my reason for needing it was for id. Then they email me back saying they need more I download a form that I need to sign saying I’m me and it is for me. But it must be notorized. How do you get a notary without a id.? I finally found some notary who knew me so I got it sent it in. They got it and approved it. On the 28th. But no email stating they sent it. And it’s the 31st. I’m at a stand still and need it so bad.
Everything happened so fast and smooth. No frustration here like with other sites. The links worked first time, the questions were thorough, and the response was amazing!Thank you!Linda
Seamless experience. Shoutout to State Vital Records for building an amazing product and service. I originally went to VitalChek but their process was confusing and didn't explain the digital notary process vey well. State Vital Records was simple, quick and have an amazing. Their partnership with NotaryLive (digital notary) was perfect. Thanks again. Will use again.
I talked to Abby. She was happy to correct my mistake very polite and informative. She is Great. I'm happy she was the first person I talked to today. She gave it a great start.
SCAM!Tried ordering a birth certificate, they never came. Customer Service emails never responded found a phone number and it was never answered. Site is a scam, had the credit card company perform a charge back on their account to get my money back.
Other sites have been a pain to order from but I was finally able to get my birth certificate copy from State Vital Records! Compared to my past experiences on those other sites they deserve 10 stars
Scam! Those reviews saying they received their birth certificate are fake. $43 down the drain. No one to complain to.
So far, so good. I will update my experience with this service when the documents arrive. The request experience and dialogue with customer service has been very positive.

“Can not login to check status of order”
It's been a week since the estimated delivery time and I can't login to check status or location. Everytime I try I get "500 error". I can't find a phone number to contact them about the issue and I need my document ASAP. I ordered this in early April! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“They don't tell you about additional fees until after they charge your CC”
They're not upfront with their fee structure. You need to get a notary and the service they "partner" with is $25 which is fine if they disclose that to you before you hand over your credit card. They don't do that. So they get another knock of 1 star for being lying scumbags. All they had to do was say "Notary Required, $25 online option available" when they asked for my credit card and I'd have been fine with it. But nope they kept silent. Disgusting business practice. Tip for consumers:Their competitors might charge the same price but I was only given the information about the disclosed fees, they kept the hidden ones, hidden. Service Value Quality
“It's a scam”
I ordered from this company and it's been a week after the expected delivery date and I haven't received anything. I've called them several times and never got an answer. If you need a document go through a.GOV site and they usually use vitalchek. Do not give these guys your info. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Over 2 months and still haven't received my birth certificate”
I paid $70 to have a copy of my California birth certificate shipped to Coeur d'Alene where we moved and I never got as much as a confirmations email that the order was placed (checked spam and inbox on every email account I could think of). I almost thought I must have not paid for it until I found the credit card statement. They don't respond to my emails and their phone system isn't working. This company needs to have a class action lawsuit brought against them because I know there has to be dozens others lost in the weeds like me. Tip for consumers:Steer clear of these crooks! It’s only a matter of time until there’s litigation brought against them. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Statevitalrecords.org NO STARS should be an option!”
Do NOT order from them! I ordered a replacement birth certificate for my child and NEVER received it! I submitted all the proper documentation and I paid $29. It's impossible to reach anyone! Next stop BBB to report these thieves. Save yourself the headache.
“No stars from me even though i have to choose to post this”
They have hidden costs, don't tell you that you have to use their forms, notary at an extra cost, and they say they will hold a portion back of the $43 I initial cost however, they don't say how much ($14)... totally negative experience and encourage that "no one" use them... pic 's 4&5 are what i sent them and they rejected them even though I got them from the county I was applying to Tip for consumers:to refund "all" of my money Products used:none Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Do not use this site not reputable”
I have been waiting 5 weeks since I requested both birth certificates for my family vacation so we could obtain our passports together.I had to use another website for the state of New York I had used vitalchek and I had my birth certificate in 3 business days.I've submitted my passport.I quite disappointed with the results of your company.I fully expect a full refund and I will report to the Better Business bureau for false advertisement for fast and efficient Products used:I will call the state of vital statistics in Tallahasee to report this scam Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Don't Use these companies”
I ordered a death certificate at a steep cost and 6 weeks later cannot get response from the business. It is unfortunate that we must have feeling of being taken advantage of and no recourse is available.
“Never Received Birth Certificate”
Ordered a birth certificate for my daughter in April. The "expected delivery window" kept getting pushed back and no one could ever tell me when I would actually receive what I had paid for. Finally went into the county vital statistics office to pay a third what I paid to this company and walked out the same day with the birth certificate. The representative there had never heard of this company. I requested that my order be cancelled and asked for a full refund-- I have yet to hear back but I did report the company and transaction as fraudulent to my credit card company.
“DO NOT USE”
I ordered a birth certificate from them, not realizing they were NOT official government website. MY mistake for not doing more research. Two months and still waiting. And was required to pay for order AND notary which I did not need. Again I should have done my research. After checking status several times I looked up my county website and got the birth certificate in 2 days for about a third what I paid for this order and notary. I feel stupid for doing this but hopefully I can keep someone else from ordering here.
“March 4,2021 is when I placed my order and today nothing received”
I paid $80.00 and called the phone number on my credit card bill *******304 but "our phone support is currently unavailable due to COVID-19 outbreak... please contact us at *******@statevitalrecods.org". So I emailed them today April 13,2021 in hopes they will give me a full refund! Think twice before you order with them. Tip for consumers:Poor in quality and customer service. Service Shipping Quality
“Do not use - not responsive”
Ordered birth certificate on March 19 with an expected delivery within 25-40 days. Toward end of time, received notice it would take another 15 days. It is now day 18, no birth certificate. Asked to either get a refund or expedite order for free. No response. Tried to look them up in BBB, they don't show up (should have checked there first). DO NOT USE!
“Not a Valid Service”
The company website is misleading and initially appears to be affiliated with the state of Florida. I requested two birth certificates and was charged $73 for the documents and shipping. I cancelled the order and was told my money would be refunded within a few weeks but they were keeping $14 as a service fee. What service did they provide other than ripping off a customer? Use government websites for birth certificates and other documents. They are less expensive, provide better service and deliver valid documents.
“Yeah... but no.”
I order a certified copy of my BC on 12/03/22 and have yet to receive it. IT'S ALMOST APRIL '23! Yes, they answer emails, but those read as off-putting. I requested proof that it was a legitimate transaction 03/02/23, and I received a helpful response that they would look into it, as I had not received it. THEN got back to me telling me *I* had to call a number to inquire. You know what? Just search your county's Superior Court, call them personally, and ask who they recommend as an online service, if you can deal with the court directly by ma, or just go and get it in person.
“This is a scam”
Placed an order in April of 2022. Requested follow up status twice. First time, after waiting two months, they said they mailed it and I needed to allow more time to receive. After another month of waiting, they suggested it may have been undeliverable at that address I provided (though no reason given as to why that could happen), and if so they would receive it back and then attempt to mail it again. It's been 8 months. This is a scam. Do not use this site! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Order placed on 4/20”
So I simply don't understand why this company will still except orders if they are unable to fulfill them this order was placed on 4/20 and needed for a job opportunity. Here we are July 16th and nothing I have since ordered and received from another company and when I requested to cancel it's too late my order is being processed, yeah well the status has been saying that since 4/20. And although the websites states delays due to COVID-19, it did not say 60-120 as it does now. I believe there is a delay however this is unacceptable and ridiculous not to mention money and time wasted.
“SCAM - Nefarious.”
The worst service i have ever used. The link they tell you to click on to check your status doesn't work. I have been emailing since Feb of 2020 and received no response. Phone number to their company doesn't work. Almost a year and I have still not received my birth certificate or even a response.
“This place is a scam”
I ordered a birth certificate. The online process to verfiy identity doesn't work although I followed the instructions perfectly. I have emailed to see if they could process my order faster and all I get it an automated response from their "support" email. They haven't responded on how to refund my money and I am contacting my bank to notify them of the fraudulent charge.
“Scam”
Bought a birth certificate From them on April 27. I sent him an email to provide an update on April 28 and never received a response back. So I called my bank cancel my credit card and stop payment. And now they are emailing me wanting to payment. I purchased this as an expedited delivery because I needed the Birth certificate as quickly as possible. Till this day I have not gotten a certificate, so you're trying to tell me that it takes a month for expedited for certificate. I definitely think this is a scam.
“Beware!”
I purchased a birth certificate on March 31,2021. The website noted 60 business days to process due to COVID. After patiently waiting, I began attempting to contact someone to get an update on the status of my order on May 27th and have been unable to connect with a representative. I have tried emailing and phoning however am unable to reach anyone. I was charged $65 plus an additional $15 for the notary. I am not only without the product ordered, but also now out $80 as there is no way to request a refund when no one with the company will respond. Do NOT use this company. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“If I could give less I would SCAM”
Paid my money to get my birth certificate, And paid money to verify who I am total of $75 altogether or so. Thought this was a legit website because they have you verify who you are sending documents of who you are. They gave me a delivery date I didn't get any tracking number when it was set and I still have not received my birth certificate. There is no way to email them there is no way to call them. Please don't waste your money or time. And I hope to God they didn't steal my identity.
“Avoid this company. They will scam you.”
The moment that you place an order, they will send you an email informing you that you have to spend an additional $25 to notary sign a document in order to receive the documents that you ordered. They only mention this additional fee AFTER you paid for the certificate on the online fee. Tip for consumers:Avoid at all costs. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Unfortunately agree think it's a scam”
Unfortunately I ordered and paid all the extra bells and whistles to get a quick copy of my son's birth certificate so that he can enlist in the USMC. Did not realize until was taken to an online notary (again additional payment) that was no on an official Texas site. A month later and I have just received ANOTHER request for notarized documentation. The phone # provided by the support person responding to another poor review is a non working number. I've lost a month of time and over $100. Very angry.
“Scam”
They take your money and all of your personal info (signature, driver's license, children's names and birthday, etc.) Then, they send an email saying there was a processing problem and the order was canceled.
“My bank accepted my fraud alert about their online payment system when I discovered…”
The fees that were charged to my card by this company that claims to provide vital records. Their charges were, in fact, originating outside the U.S. I canceled my order with them and my bank flushed my card number. Quite a hassle!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
