Is stashinvest.com Legit?

This business does NOT take care of it's customers when there is blatant fraud. I have fought and fought with this company and they just keep pencil-whipping my dispute saying "no error occurred". Its not an error, it's 100% fraud. You are supposed to protect your consumers. I am tired of the run around from this company and I will be taking out my money from their care and making sure everyone knows that they are not good business. Don't trust them with your hard earned money!

I had been pretty pleased with stash initially. Even got my kids custodial accounts. I was told by stash that when kid became adult, the process to transfer the kid’s portfolio to a new adult account was “easy.” Well this is a misrepresentation. SIX weeks after trying to convert the custodial account of my now adult son to an account of his own: it is a mess. After MULTIPLE attempts to find out what the problem is, not one person at stash could explain exactly why they were refusing to open an adult account for my son. No reason given at all. I closed that account and am getting my son set up with Robinhood instead. Beware. This seems like shady misrepresentation on the part of stash

We did not register or open any account with this investment company. However, a transaction of $3,450 was effected through our Bank of America account via ACH and the name of company that effected this transaction was STASH CAPITAL. I had to dispute the transaction before the bank credited me back. Please be strongly advised do not do any business with this company. It’s full of fraudsters.

They just take your money. It's just a scam. Do not do it.

I have used stash for over a year now and it’s was decent. I kept it only for the free stocks. But last week ya do lay $72 went missing out of my account with no transaction logged in my account. When I contacted them they admitted it was an error refunded it, but closed my account without my permission and took all the money that was in it. And said they’d mail me a check… well, that was every penny I had so at midnight tonight, I will have no phone, and I now have $200 in late fees because the check they promised would be here the next day…. This will be 1 week ago tomorrow! Download if you want them to lie, steal, defraud, and then lie again about fixing it, and when I told them about all the late fees that are their fault, they hung up on my and stopped replying to emails!!! I’ll probably update this review after I meet with my attorney tomorrow!

My complaint echoes multiple other company appears to be vindictively so controlled they will notclet me addtress my concerns except to their tech bots they denied me acessctoy account for 6 ws from 5.23until 2weeks ago they keep providing ridiclous excuses why bank transfer delayed.last week they tried to transfer 2thousand dollars from my checking account ii wish all their victims would file criminal actions with NY state attorney general as ei plan to do. Class action suit would be goof too

Didn't know I was being charged monthly. Was incredibly challenging to cancel the service, like they intentilally hid the ability to opt out.

My son invited me to try Stash and so I began the sign up. As requested I scanned my DL for ID, but then it wanted me to upload a photo of my Social Security card! Are you kidding!? In my long life NO bank, loan company has ever requested a photo of my card! I had already supplied my number as is requested with any banking institution so what is with uploading a photo? I called in and they created a ticket. When contacted they asked me again to load the picture and they were “required” to request proof siting the Patriots act of 2011!? I asked them simply to delete my account as I would no longer be interested in their app. Nuts!

I signed up with a referral code, followed all the instructions. Never got the referral bonus, so I contacted customer support. It turns out there was a stipulation that wasn't even in the fine print. I met the requirement and I got the bonus. Had pretty much the exact same experience with another startup bonus I kept getting emails about - it said to deposit $5 into your portfolio and you'd get $10, but it didn't specify which portfolio, and I ended up having to deposit twice. I signed up for auto-invest and a subscription to get the second part of my welcome bonus. For some reason, my auto-invest was coming out of my bank account just fine every month, but for 2 months my subscription payment did not come out. I only got any notification of this issue from Stash during the SECOND month, after stock had already been sold from my portfolio to cover the subscription cost without any warning to me.I contacted customer service. They told me to relink my bank account, which confused me when payments were coming from it just fine. I even added cash to my Stash account to prove it was working correctly. They also suggested I link a card as a backup method, but I wanted the payments to come from this specific account and the stash app would only allow me one payment method. After some back-and-forth, I relinked my account. I was told that they'd try again to charge my bank account and that I'd be notified of the attempt, whether it was successful or not. According to stash support, there WERE multiple attempts to charge my bank account after I re-linked it, but I was not notified of any of these like I was told that I would be. When my subscription payment finally processed, it came out of the cash balance in my Stash account!I contacted customer support again, and got the same copy-paste response I'd already told them multiple times did not work.There is an issue on Stash's end with collecting subscription payments. There was very clearly never anything wrong with my bank account seeing as how Stash was still able to take other payments out of it. During this time period, my account never once had a balance lower than the amount they'd be taking out, so that's not the issue either. It took 30+ emails of the same useless copy-paste responses for me to finally get connected to tech support. They said that they changed a setting in my account to make the account preferred, something I'm pretty sure I had already set up - but I decided not to press the issue. My June subscription payment came out successfully, but I got the same error email again in July. I was told my inquiry was being forwarded to the technical team again, but it's been more than a week and I've heard nothing back. I finally decided to close my stash account, something I honestly should've done probably 20 emails and 2 months ago instead of practically begging a company that doesn't care for help with their faulty platform. My entire experience with Stash was negative from top to bottom. I experienced a major lack of transparency and was lied to and disregarded multiple times by customer support, and wasted a lot of time and money for nothing in return. This company may not be a scam, but they deploy some seriously dishonest and scam-like practices in their "promotions" and recruitment. Their customer service is NOT worth reaching out to - just hope you never have a problem.I was going to stick around for 6 months to get the other part of my startup bonus, but I don't have any faith that I would have gotten it anyways. Either way, it's not worth the hassle. I don't even have faith that I'm going to get the money in my account back. It'd be so easy for them to experience an "error" just like with my subscription payments. Stash is a massive waste of time and money. I cannot recommend it at all. Good riddance. Edit 7/23: they charged me for my subscription AFTER I cancelled it, and even though they emailed me multiple times saying that my accounts were being closed when I initiated it, apparently the process didn't actually start until I emailed customer service about the charge (that they won't refund) and THEY started the closing process. This is SUCH a shady business, I hope I am finally done with them and that I get my funds as promised, but I have no faith that I will ever get them and won't be charged more next month for nothing. I'm so angry. Avoid at all costs. Seriously.

Whoever comes to this website for trust check, will perfectly figure out how marginal Stash acts. My money did backflips and land in their pocket without resolve of any kind. Shows no respect for their client's future, The negative reviews act for the actuality of it!,there is no joy associating with Stash,Rather, I grow full time with Monix Capital.Growth, they have been helpful with the everyday payment I get.

It was very easy to deposit money. Withdrawing money was a different story. Customer Service was very good but they can only do so much. This is another company that outsources customer service which is basically AI chat bots. They can only divulge what they are told to.

Worst company either straight lied to me tried to tell me they been trying to debited money from my account every month since September 2023. I knew was a lie becuse my account has money in it all the time I just keep my card locked. They haven't tried to get money still this March 2023. I get an alert everytime someone tries to get money out my account while my card is locked or unlocked. So today you decide to debited the monthly subscription fee and was successful. I haven't used it this account in a year how was it able to stay open all this time without paying the subscription fee. It ain't making sense because all the other investing company matter a fact any company would automatically close that account for non payment after all that time has passed. I politely closed the whole account. They wanna pay and debit my account again after I've cancelled I'll be filing a lawsuit.

Never had issues till recently. And a nightmare. Someone authorized a $750 transaction into stash. It was not me. So I immediately notified my bank. Crazy thing Stash people say well it was authorized on your end😳are these people stupid. I clearly told them I NEVER AUTHORIZED it. Investigation ongoing so they claim 👎 I requested to close everything since my accts. Been compromised. Live and learn never AGAIN✌️

I initially had issues with the transition from Green Dot to Stride, I literally should've had money, but didn't. I started to try figure out what happened & ran into some issues that were beyond my control & left a 1 star review for Stash(on a different platform)because of it. Stash responded & ask how they could help. I emailed them & explained the issues I had encountered, they apologized, but then they actually fixed the issue, reimbursed the fees, & we're all around super helpful. Truly great customer service. It's the reason I'm leaving the review.

I've been trying to close my Subscription for months 9 dollars a month and God forbid , u setup something else stop putting money in that account and when you do put money, they will take it. they wont let me this site is a robbery they will suck you dyer.

I used to enjoy Stash until they switched mother banks. Now my accounts has been locked since January. I’ve provided all documents requested and their escalation has been very slow. In the beginning I used to be able to resolve issues within a 24 hour period- now they no longer have my trust and I don’t recommend them. I couldn’t even sell my stocks and lost money.

My account has been hacked and stash isn't doing anything about it.They keep saying that it's being investigated.I am being robbed blind and stash keeps letting these hackers unlock account.The hackers also uploaded documents such as my DL which was already expired and a 2 year old bank statement.I have been calling for a week straight talking to a different person every day about new activity on my account and they still have not completed the investigation when they can clearly see it's not me doing this.Dont deal with Stash please !!!!

The customer service team and how they are being unresponsive when you need them the most. Disappointed with them, withdrawals process should be easy as deposit. For my peace of mind, I moved to {EASY—BEE) which has proven to be the best broker ever right now.

Please do not use Stash for any of your investing needs if you appreciate/need good customer service or are looking for an app that works properly. My wife and I had an IRA account with Stash and the experience in making changes to the account and eventually closing the account was an absolute nightmare. The app would crash, log me out, not let me make changes, etc. When I spoke with customer service, they were never able to help me or gave me contradictory information each time I reached out. Even just trying to close the account has been difficult and has taken months. There are so many different investing apps out there, please avoid using this one.

Awful customer service!!!! I have been investing extra money into my Stash. My account was hacked, and I received NO notification that my information was changed, a bank account was opened, and a debit card was ordered. It has been 11 days since this incident, and I still have not heard from them. I have called customer service SIX times, and they have told me every time that I will receive an email (“the back office doesn’t make phone calls”!?!?!!!!!!) within 48 hours. Awful, awful company!!!!!!
