Standard. Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 62.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to startacareertoday.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning startacareertoday.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between startacareertoday.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of startacareertoday.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of startacareertoday.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. startacareertoday.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether startacareertoday.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.

Found this site thanks to a Tiktok ad, advertising work from home typing jobs. It led me into a funnel which required my name, email, and phone number. I typed it in (knowing what I was doing intentionally, to figure out if it was helpful or scam-like). The funnel sent me through at least 10 pages of job offers from companies like Amazon and Home Depot (completely unrelated) and DID end up sending me to a page with some typing-related jobs. They also emailed me that list. However - they also gave my info to other partners (this info was provided to me up front and I agreed to it for the sake of this). I have, since yesterday, received 4 emails from their partners offering non-typing-related jobs in my area. I have also received a phone call from someone related to the site, to offer me jobs. I declined, stated I was interested only in the typing jobs list. What very, VERY much pissed me off though, is when he said "You indicated that you were interested in school opportunities, have you looked into colleges?" which I remember VERY specifically declining on the aforementioned 10 pages! This indicates that their funnel is not well set up, and I now have enough evidence to say that this website is nothing but a lead-generator which sells your info to anyone regardless of your job interest. I highly recommend staying away and reporting the ads you see as false advertising, even if they were up front about it, they do not care about the type of jobs you want, you are nothing but a $ lead to them.

After I looked at this site I started getting random notifications on my chromebook saying that I won a "I Robot", a random vacume cleaner and a whole bunch of different things. I can tell this web page is a scam because I got the I Robot ad from the start a career today from lows and home depot. Like ltterally just now I got a ad saying I won a gift card in shells gift card draw. I never entered a draw for shell. I have never even been to "shell". This was the first good scam report add I found and hope for a response. Thank you and have a nice day. Wait now I just got a free "Makita Drill" set lol!

Sometimes are looking for a position for someone else and doesn't want to share personal information.

  4. lynda

I signed up for this today and with in 30 minutes I got 3 spam calls which I have never had on my phone until today.

  5. BobbieK

Link from event on Facebook guaranties $85 an hour for Amazon jobs. Created by someone with iffy profile. Said Amazon needed “Carrers” and offered free transportation. Because of this, assume serious issues.

  6. Jason Anderson

Just so everyone is aware, it is definitely a scam. How it works: They have stolen REAL job listings from legitimate sites. (Which is why you find local listings). But when you apply for a job, you are submitting all your personal information to the scammer and not the actual employers. Depending on what you applied for and which scammer gets your info. You may get tax forms for your SSN and direct deposit form to send your account number. You may be ask to send your photo ID. Now all of that sounds like what a real employer does until your bank account is empty. And in some cases they may ask for your credit card information (to pay for training and training materials that will never be sent). Sometimes they say they'll reimburse you these costs once you've been there 30-90 days/6 months. Yes, on this site, people are getting hired for jobs they're not even qualified for and/or they say you'll start at a training position before moving up to the position that you actually applied to. Now, if you contact the actual legitimate employer, they've never heard of you and do not have your information and did not hire you. There are lots of operators working through this scam website. Currently this scam is huge on Facebook. It's starts with a person usually from India using a sites google page to lure you. "Amazon work from home $35/hr, we have transportation" their sites.goigle page forwards startacareertoday. Once Google removes their sites google account, they quickly create a new one and repost. On and on they go. There are literally 10s of thousands of postings and each person may post it hundreds of times. All each of them needs is 1 person per day they can steal from. But the more the better. BEWARE of this site. It has been reported, hopefully it will get removed. But there's always another to take it's place. Be careful!

    1. William

It is true. Thank you Jason, this is a scam site

  7. Jeff

This website has throughout checked out as a SCAM. You submit your information to what looks like a legitimate employer with local listings. A group of people in India receive your information. This group of people seem to move from office building to office building, city to city across the country of India. Candidates do get asked to supply bank account information. Victims accounts get wiped out before they are aware of what's going on. I was surprised to see how good the rating is. But scammers have linked this site in more than a million posts across Facebook and are also messaging people on IG. DO NOT USE THIS SITE to seek employment. Use the employers actual website, or Indeed
