Is starchild.co.uk Legit?

This is one of my favourite shops, never miss it when I'm in Glastonbury!

I came across Star Child Glastonbury whilst looking for little blue coloured glass bottles to keep essential oil blends in.I bought an Elder Tree perfume, peace tea and 4 10ml glass bottles. Couldn't be happier. Staff answer a query I had via email promptly and items arrived very quickly. Would recommend to all.

These are the best essential oils I have ever used. They are a little on the expensive side but are top quality imo. Their space aromas are wonderful for using during the Equinox and Summer Solstice etc. I visited their shop in Glastonbury a few years ago and highly recommend it, it is beautiful, with Goddess statues, natural perfumes and a large selection of oils.

Love the products but what a disappointing experience. I visited the shop again this week (29/5) and was met with the same unwelcoming and unhelpful service. The staff in the shop are awful. I suggest they take a little time out to walk up the high street and see how other retailers make their customers feel welcome. Shame on you Star Child staff for being so rude.

I recently came across Star Child online and have to say this shop is excellent! There are a great selection of products available and the process from order to delivery is very quick and efficient. I ordered some incense but there was a slight mix up with my order when it arrived. However, when I got in touch the team the level of customer service I received was second to none and the error was rectified straight away. I highly recommend Star Child- definitely 5 stars!!

Came across this shop while on a coach holiday and Glastonbury was on our stop off,really love this shop and have since ordered via mail order twice,the products are excellent quality I have ordered essential oils,bath oils,incense, room aromas and herbal teas.I'm booking a holiday this year and will be staying a few day in Glastonbury and can't wait to visit star child again and stock up on their incredible products.

I often visit this shop when I am in Glastonbury. They have some beautiful candles and a very wide selection of herbs too. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful and I always enjoy coming here to buy my herbs, incenses and candles.

I ordered essential oils and tea from Starchild and my shipment arrived within a reasonable time. However, when I opened one of the boxes of essential oil, I noticed that instead of the 25 ml bottle I had ordered and paid for I had only received a 10 ml bottle. A mistake like that can easily happen, so I just took a picture of the (unopened) bottle and contacted Starchild, but to my surprise they have not responded. Since the company is located in the UK I am hesitant to call them and have more costs so I emailed them and included the picture of the bottle.Three weeks, 3 emails later (one using the contact form on their website) I have still not heard back from anyone at Starchild, nor have I received the bottle I paid for. That is awful customer service and borderline fraudulent since I did not receive what I had already paid for. Huge disappointment and I will not order from them again.

I've been ordering essential oils, natural skin care products and herbs from Star Child for 6 months now, and always find them to be of the highest quality: top quality unadulterated essential oils and other natural skin care products that arrive promptly and extremely well packaged. All oils are provided in attractive dark amber glass bottles. Customer service is superb, even offering expert advice on what oils and herbs are good for particular health conditions. Great company, wholeheartedly recommended :)

I absolutely LOVE this place! I honestly just go to Glastonbury from London just to visit this shop. Their dragon sparks tea is simply amazing.

I made an order of some different teas, they are lovely and well-packaged. Hope to see more available sometime :)

I ordered 0.5 kilo dried organic marigold flowers (Not cheap.) for feeding my rabbits. About 3/4 of the weight was made up of large, hard, dry lumps where the flowers were stuck together with something that made them a darker colour than the loose flowers and petals. They came, double bagged, in large paper bag packaging which they had obviously been decanted into, so whoever sent them must have known the order was full of these lumps and just wanted to fob third rate good off onto a mail order customer. When I first contacted them about the problem I used Star Child Glastonbury's webmail where, rather stupidly, they do not have any way of attaching photos to the webmail. I was told, by a Star Child worker, in an off-hand and patronising manner that the lumps were normal and would break down. I was not prepared to accept such poor quality product, let alone feed my bunnies with it, so I sent a Gmail email with photos attached and was getting quite stressed. I assume it was damp that had caused the lumps but had no idea about what might have made the Marigolds damp. At that point they did give me an immediate refund but there was no acknowledgement of their wrong-doing, no apology or mention of a good will gesture to compensate me for the wasted time and trouble their incompetence had caused. It was not a huge problem in the greater scheme of things but I feel humiliated that they cannot even be bothered to say sorry and I connote understand how customer service people refuse to take on board the lesson of making closure around an incident by taking responsibility and making an apology. Not very cosmic behaviour from a firm that callsa itself Star Child!
