Is spartoo.de Legit?

BE AWARE. Received a request for an extra £70.73 for import fees from UPS after paying £312 for my goods. Make sure you read the SMALL PRINT where this is clearly stated. I wont be paying the import fees so will now be returning the goods which will be difficult as UPS have them. Horrendous experience.

My first shopping experince from Spartoo and I am thrilled. Everything was on time, the shoes that I order came perfect and I will probably shop more from Spartoo because they have very good discounts and great designers.

I have ordered Red Wing Classic Brown Moc Toe boots (Rfznm. 7476641) on 24th of September. My experience with the website is so far very good. The delivery and the pricing were the upsides of this website. However, the product description wasn't so well-done. They had forgotten to state the "width" of the boots, which is never forgotten by the original company. Moreover, they state on the website that "Wählen Sie eine Grösse kleiner als üblich aus." You should NOT do it. After reading general complaints regarding the Red Wing Moc Toe boots, and after searching about the actual size manual of them, I have decided to order my actual size for boots (41 EU). It fits very well. Some websites even claim that you should order one size smaller than your "Sneakers" size. If I had done that, I would have ended up with a 39.5 EU size Red Wings and they wouldn't fit at all.So, that is why I have deducted one star from the product description and also from the ease of using the website because they do not have the best of user-friendly design. I think Spartoo should start working on providing individual guidance to the items they are selling. I got a bit lucky because the size I ordered fit well; so, I do not need to get in touch with the website, try to return them, so on and so forth.As for the Product itself. The Red Wing Moc Toe. Many people complain about the websites without acquiring enough information about the boots they are buying. Red Wing sells real leather boots. Their leather quality is high-end. Moreover, it is thick as well: apprx. 3mm (thicker than many other brands like Timberland). That means it won’t be comfortable to wear at the beginning. You need to flex the leather. Since I got them, I have been wearing them at least an hour per day AT HOME, still. It has been a week now and they are not yet ready to be worn outside, comfortably. I have researched online for weeks before I got these Red Wings on Spartoo. I initially didn’t want to spend 350€ on these, but with the discounts on Spartoo, I managed to buy them for 272,88€. And they are worth it. Compared to a pair of boots that will cost you 150€ and will last only a year or two, Red Wings are the safe zone. And you shouldn’t miss the discounted prices on websites like Spartoo.(Check “Rose Anvil” on Youtube to get more information about Moc Toes and Red Wings)-------------------------------------------UPDATE (14.04.2024)I wanted to add this update a bit earlier, but anyway. I got the D type/size, which is not mentioned on Spartoo, btw. If they only sell size D, then do your measures/number-size selection accordingly.I first wore the shoes outside within their second week of flexing at home. I got blisters back in my heel. So I continued at home. But this time I was bending the leather even with my hands. After a month it was way more tolerable. At the end of the second month, I was pretty happy with their softness. Earlier I could not wear the shoes without proper thick non-slip sports socks. But after 3-4 months, I could wear them even with extra low cut summer socks and would not feel uncomfortable at all. One of the best things about leather insoles is that even when you wear the shoes for hours (I mean over 8-9 hours), your feet or the shoes do not stink. They keep giving this pleasant leather smell. And I used to wear them almost everyday in the winter. One thing I have to mention: the temperature here drops easily to -3/4 in winter. When I was outside for hours at that temperature, even when I had thick (cotton) socks on, I could still feel my feet getting pretty cold. Nevertheless, I'd still recommend them. Just beware the climate you are in.

Edit 13.01.2021: issue was resolved and refund issued.Edit 7.01.2021: Spartoo replied several times after the accident. I am still waiting for the reply of the partner who sent me thw wrong item. The unresponaiveness was probably a matter of holidays, however the swapped product without explanation relies at the responsibility of the partner.I can't receive an answer about a return. I was sent the wrong items from the seller and now I will have to return them to the seller paying a hefty return label. Please deal with my questions and provide me with a return label. Thank you.

Bought many pairs of shoes from this wonderful company. I find them fast helpful and informative! The AS98 shoes I love the quality style and workmanship. They have given my returns fast and easy refunds so far and I'm very happy with my experience of this company.

With a skirt, a dress or pants, these shoes make you look great! Of course, you need some time to make them comfortable but, after 2 weeks of wearing them (with big socks) they now fit perfectly. The quality is there, you will keep these shoes forever!

Don't buy from Spartoo, when they deliver your product to you, they charge extra import duty for your item and also they say free delivery but don't give you free delivery. Their customer service is really bad they don't care about customers complains. After couple of emails they stop replying to you . they totally mislead customers as pretending UK base company . please do not buy from them . as a reply for your complaint jus send a cut and past reply and simply ignore your matter.
