Is soundrop.com Legit?

DONT USE THIS SITE IF YOU WANT TO START PUBLISHING MUSIC. THIS SITE IS A SCAM.I published my song and after ~3 months my song had like 1 mil plays, no money, so it was my first song and i didnt know how the payments works so i asked to the support when i will receive my money and if i will receive it and the reply was a mail where they say that i asked for takedown of the song and they closed my account without replying to me anymore.

NO RESPONSE FROM EMAILS!! I requested they take down all my songs (on my dashboard), and none were taken down. I emailed them for help and no response 6 months later, with about 5 follow up emails. Not sure what I can do next to get my music off spotify.

I have used Soundrop for years - I loved it. I used to reccomend it to everybody. Those days are over. It's like the company has been automated and abandoned.There is not a single human working at this company now.Or if there was I'm sure at somebody might have come back to one of my MANY attempts to contact them over the last 2 YEARS. The chatbot is useless, there is NOBODY replying to the support inbox... My cover music makes them thousands every year but their customer service is now non-existant. I have been forced to move to DistroKid but can't get hold of anybody at Soundrop to take down my releases with them!I'm sad to have had to write this. I loved you, Soundrop.

Soundrop customer service NEVER replies when I try contacting them. I'm far from being the only one that had this problem.And reading all these reviews are making me regret using their service. Is there really no trustable music releasing service out there??Edit: This company is a scam. Period.

I was finding some cheap distributor for my music, and then, i found Soundrop. I was impressed by the price, but after long time, i was dissapointed. Song, that i wanted to upload by my cover etc. had so many f***ing problems like having title and artist name on cover art and do not having something... And after that, when it was finally delivered to stores, it wasnt on Instagram, tiktok or even snapchat, cause some problems, what i didnt know, and i dont know them still... So i wasnt good with that, but i used it for that price, but its not worth it. After 6 months, i switched to DistroKid and all my projects from Soundrop are still there, but DistroKid is way more worth it, than some this Wannabe distributor. If you want to upload music often, then use some distributors, that can make you upload unlimited songs for best price. For me, i recommend DistroKid. So i hope this review helped you for choosing and have a nice day. And for Soundrop, fix your damn rules for music, looks like you dont know, how it works today.

Soundrop was hit and miss (not releasing songs on time) but other than that worked to get songs on sites like Spotify, Amazon, Itunes etc... Until the 6 month point when stats on money made started coming in and did NOT align with the plays vs. standard rates at all. We aren't talking massive money (under $10) but the amounts where so off I queried it in a support ticket but never heard anything back. Until today when my song with the most plays that was on the most playlists has suddenly been removed. I contacted the sites and they say its nothing to do with them and they don't have any idea why but the distributor had requested to have them removed. Looks like they pocketed the money then just deleted the song, no warning, emails, explanations or anything and they are COMPLETELY uncontactable. Such stupid tactics over a couple of dollars but has left me with issues and all the work I put in wasted.

I went to Soundrop while CD baby was updating. I was really impressed with pricing and licensing costs but having spent an evening typing in 18 songs Was timed out and nothing save's until you finish. With about two minutes to go I lost everything. Having read the reviews It might have been a blessing in disguise as it seems to be a bit of a rogue company and hard to believe it is linked to CD Baby. Furthermore I asked some questions to customer support and response just said change your password. No help at all. Will have to shop round on this one.

Transferred from Wix Music, they have found that one my piece of original music was not mine, so in 24hrs cancelled all my music. They wrote me that "this piece is about Emiliano Bucci, please demonstrate that you are Emiliano Bucci" I sent my declaration that my studio and association were mine, but nothing... never more with this people... they don't want to pay earn... I had 15.000 people in mounth

If I could give zero stars I would with little hesitation, minimal to no support or service. I have had the frustration and utmost displeasure of using Soundrops services, and wouldn't bother writing a review if only I could warn off and advise people not to use let alone consider using them for disturbtion. I sent a project out in feburary, and have had countless amount of issues trying to separate and claim my workDO NOT - DO NOT - DO NOT USE SOUNDROP IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM FOR ANY MUSIC RELATED WORK. THE COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

0 Communication for 5 weeks before release. Release meant to be next week and songs are locked on Sounddrop platform. Have emailed each week to customer service with no reply. Artist page on spotify not appearing so can't pitch tracks. Severely dissapointed and don't know how to take down

They've gone so downhill. Processing times are slow and there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL ANYMORE! NONE! if there is an issue with your release, you must contact them, however just no response. Their customer service was always bad, but for more important cases you would still get responses. Now it's non existent, no matter what issue you have

This service is awful. They're the only company who will license covers without a recurring fee and they SURE do take advantage of that fact. Slow processing times, constant bugs on the site, ludicrous restrictions on things like art & title (which other distributors don't do), and poor support. Do NOT use these guys. Just put your covers on YouTube, this isn't worth it.

They used to be great and I never had problems with them for the years I have been with them, however they have been going down hill recently due to extremely slow distribution and customer support response times. It will take them months to distribute your music and answer your emails. This will just hurt your momentum as an artist. It's a shame because I used to like them, but now I will just have to go elsewhere to release future projects.UPDATE: they finally released my EP after two months. And my latest release was released quickly, so thats why I changed my rating to 3 stars.

Soundrop uploaded my music to another artist's profile on apple music. I created a ticket 2 months ago for them to fix the situation, but there is no response.#4257484

I am extremely disappointed with Soundrop. My album was rejected for alleged copyright infringement without giving me exact details or the opportunity to correct it. Additionally, I have not received a refund for the fees paid. Customer service did not respond to my inquiries and my account was closed without warning. I find this approach completely outrageous and unprofessional.

I've been working with Soundrop since the very beginning. They used to be called Loundr.FM. With them, my income has grown and I have been doing only music for several years now. Support works very fast, releases are loaded quickly. I tried to cooperate with other services, and came across a lot of problems, including unjustified debiting of money from my card. I express my gratitude to Soundop/

It's just way too wonky, releases won't get out on time and they lie about you being able to change release dates manually, pretty much it locks the release for the entire process. Support is useless. Its cheap and good for covers, but it's way too frustrating to try to use for regular releases.

I started with Soundrop in 2020. Everything went well until sometime in 2023 when they closed the support chat and stopped answering support tickets. I don't know what would happen but they stopped posting on their social media as well. I literally have an open ticket from 6 months ago that I have yet to receive a first response.It's true that $0.99 for distributing a cover is a good price but they take 15% of all earnings, which is a lot if you have a lot of streams. The license is only valid if you distribute with them so I prefer to buy it on my own and distribute with a serious company that also allows me to keep 100% of my earnings.-If you are thinking of switching to Soundrop, don't do it. The first problem you have, you will have a really bad time because no one will help you.-If you are with Soundrop I recommend you to jump to another serious distributor. Doing so badly, sooner or later Soundrop will end up closing.

I don't know why there are a lot of bad reviews. But I can assure you that after trying out a lot of music distribution platforms, I have come to a conclusion that Soundrop is the most affordable, efficient platform among them all. They genuinely respect and care for all of the music producers and lovers such as myself. I am glad that I found Soundrop. At the start I was a bit sceptical but over time, I have grew to love them by how they communicate to their customers.
