sony.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives sony.co.uk one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 86.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 86.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to sony.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning sony.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between sony.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of sony.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of sony.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. sony.co.uk is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether sony.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether sony.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, sony.co.uk.

I bought headphone from Sony and they had a problem within the year. And it was virtually impossible to contact them about the issue. So I put them in the bin
Purchased a new XR-65A95L Sony Oled master series TV on 29/06 from my local Quinn’s Sony shop. Having the tv for 4 days of working perfect the problems started, sound cutting out picture cutting out screen going black on and off and then picture distorting. Rang Sony helpline they got into my tv from they’re end to go through the tv but could not resolve it told me under the warranty being only 4 days old I could take it back to the shop for a refund.. what a palava the Sony shop would not issue my refund would not believe I contacted Sony support I had to ring Sony back and forth myself to prove this problem to the shop. And get Sony support helpline to email me confirmation of my contact with them as evidence of faults to prove to the shop. By now the shop had already collected my faulty tv still no refund manager making excuses. Till eventually after a wk of the shop having the tv back I pestered them for my refund as I had no tv and no refund they finally paid up. But after some research done later after the tv was returned to the shop on this tv and one of the employers from the Sony shop telling me that this is a common problem with this tv and not the first one they have had returned with the same faults I was very annoyed that this had happened. It’s a £2999 tv What is going on Sony !!!
You destroyed once a strong community by banning all the 177 countries from helldivers 2 . F*** you i hope you will ge bankrupt and evaporate from internet
Our package did not reach us on the specified date and time, and worst of all, no one responded to us either by email or online chat and could not determine the update of our package.Poor customer service really
brought a sony bravia 75 inch , slightly disappointed with the sound , HD channels are way to quiet compared to other channels plus sound overall is way too tinny . no bass sound so had to buy a sound bar to get a decent bass sound .
Really poor customer service had warranty but they trying to come out of fixing my tv and have not even seen it just shut down the claim
I got a new Sony Alpha ZV-E10 but already from the first tests I could see artefacts in the centre of all images at f/8 and below. I sent the camera for service assistance and was in contact with them every other day to follow the progress. The time from sending to receiving was five working days and the problem was solved.
I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with Sony and felt compelled to share my feedback to alert potential customers.I purchased the Sony SA-RS3S home cinema system with high hopes, given Sony's reputation for quality. However, within just three months of purchase, the system malfunctioned, requiring extensive repairs.Furthermore, the customer service provided by Sony has been inadequate. The process to arrange repairs was cumbersome and time-consuming, involving multiple phone calls and delays. It is crucial for potential buyers to be aware of these issues before making a purchase decision. I urge Sony to reconsider their stance and provide fair treatment to their customers.
Sony is following panasonic, has start to sale cheap Chinese tellys with Sony logo, never working right, let's hope they will not do at 100% what's panasonic is doing now, all this because they are not able to develop a upgraded software
Customers beware. I have sony wireless headphones wf 1000xm4. Had for 1.5 years and were brilliant with no issues. Last week battery started to drain from 8 hour use to around 10 mins use on full charge. I have seen this is a common issue recently with so many people experiencing online. Some are saying that Sony have updated firmware that's causing this to happen. I've called sony support to explain situation and they are saying I need to pay for a repair which is expensive on their repair sheet. I don't know what to do as these headphones are not cheap. I feel cheated and ripped off. My own advice to you from my expeience, If you are a customer wanting to buy. Be careful.
Had to send some WF-1005 Earbuds back because there was constant 'white noise' coming from the left ear. Had them less that a week from Sony UK. Apparently it's a known issue. They sent me updates to say they had received them back. Then nothing. I contacted them and they said they hadn't received them. I sent them their own email confirmation of receiving them back. Next I get an email reply saying nothing apart from they are monitoring the situation. So their reply is useless. I thought buying direct from the Manufacturer would the safe way to buy. It turns out it is not.
Great TV yet I am conscious that my wife and I are not the most sophisticated users. Yet it works really well for us as a home cinema with incredible picture quality and good enough sound (we don't have a soundbar) for watching Netflix and Max. Knocking a point down for two things, no camera and a compatable camera is another £250 when Korean competitors have it as a standard feature on a much cheaper models. And remote controls are really outdated and look like developed in 90s.
Faulty Items and Terrible Customer Service.I bought a Sony TV (Bravia X75WL/50) directly from Sony. It was delivered during the weekend and the box and outside of the tv seemed in order. However, as soon as I turned it on, the screen was not working - lots of lines and odd colours. I contacted Sony online immediately. I then chased them via the phone. They said they would start an investigation and for a week asked for different pictures of the tv. Every time I had to remove the TV from the box, take a picture and wrap it up again, only for them to come up with something else. No one even said they would refund me and their manager who was supposed to give me a call did not do so until now. Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs.
Sony sent me a TV (KD65X75WLU) with a crack on its monitor, this was discovered once when the engineer unboxed the package (I bought the installation setup too). The engineer claimed he would report the case, but it has been a week, no follow-up actions by Sony. I contacted the customer support by myself but was asked to send the pics of the faulty TV to customer support. NO DATE FOR DELIVERY OF REPLACEMENT, NO UPDATE ON WHEN THE BROKEN ONE TO BE TAKEN AWAY AT ALL.......WHAT CAN I DO?
Sony BRAVIA XR, XR-48A90K TV. Just purchased this TV after all the Sony hype regarding this television but wish I hadn’t bothered.Firstly. ITVX live tv isn’t available on this tv.Secondly the sound. All the hype of the screen being the speaker is utter nonsense especially the bass almost non existent. And lastly, the picture quality is nothing special, in fact televisions a lot less price wise than this are far better.Save yourself a considerable amount of money and buy a different make of television.
Sony Bravia TV. Worst TV I have ever had the misfortune to buy, what a pile of c**p. Incredibly slow, constantly looses iPlayer, channel list from yesterday come up if you're lucky, but empty boxes if not. so much un necessary rubbish on it. big mistake should have stayed with Samsung.
User of Sony products for many years, regarded them as a good solid brand. But they have left the rails recently. High end Sony mobile phone stopped working following recent updates that force installed Facebook. If you see this and you are using a Sony phone, check, because it doesn't make it obvious. Utterly unjustifiable. Beyond disrespectful. Asked Sony, and official answer was 'too bad'. So I guess I'm never buying Sony again. Great decision. Should give us all pause for thought.
It has taken over two weeks, and still no money for the returned order.
Sony promotion scamIf you think you are getting the promotion think again. I get my phone through work and because of that I do to get the promotion. Do not get a Sony phone. company is full of lies.
Faulty WF-1000XM4 earbudsBought the earbuds feb 2022, right earbud only charges 90 percent and totally drains in Four minutes, have read so many reviews that this is a known problem, still on sale on Sony Website for £199.00 absolute disgrace not worth sending for repair as will cost nearly as much as buying a new pair. Customer service is a waste of time, will try and repair myself as the battery repair kit is available for £10.00 will never use Sony again.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
