It was a very well-paced learning experience! They balanced practice, learning and studying in a beautiful setting. Liz and Jess, the instructors, were a perfect blend so that we learned from two different styles and perspectives of yoga practice and instruction. They created a safe space for learning and self exploration.

I really enjoyed the complementary vibes of the teachers, Liz and Jess. The teaching approach made me feel that I understand and process it without having to study extra. The time schedule was smooth with ritual in the morning with meditation and a nighttime philosophy. Along the way, this program helped me grow in self-confidence and understand that everything is already inside me. I learned about the Yoga Sutra's philosophy and will probably go on reading it as well as the Bhagavad Gita. I like the alignment, the anatomy, and the sequencing. I love the ways of teaching made me realize how alignments and foundation is the beginning of everything. This training is amazing. It’s not only about becoming a yoga teacher, but also being just me. I am learning about myself and see the beauty of each person around me. Yes, I would definitely do another course with Soma Yoga Institute.

This 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training was a life changing experience! All of the teachers were wise, the group was so sweet and the schedule was very well paced. Liz’s knowledge is incredible and really shines through in each of her lessons. Learning the detailed alignment cues was fantastic. I loved learning history of yoga, philosophy, trauma informed, and ball rolling sections as well. I give this program an A++! Highly recommend it. – KT

For me, this training was a 10 of 10. The curriculum was a well balanced mixture of both practice and theory. I like the therapeutic approach, putting the needs of individual bodies at the center and not emphasizing, showing off or fancy posing. I’m very impressed by the teachers' knowledge, the community we created, and the attention to detail. One could really tell that Soma Yoga Institute puts their students in the center. I learned how to build a solid foundation in my yoga poses. It changed the way I practice every pose now. The alignment queues are a game changer.  Overall this 200 Hour YTT was truly transformative. I did not expect that.

This is a beautiful start for anyone looking for a yoga teacher training. I really enjoyed the lovely meditations, yoga sequencing and history of the practice. This was an amazing journey, not only because I was able to develop a deeper understanding of myself but also because of all the people I met and the whole team around the retreat center. The teachers were great, we learned so much about yoga. I loved the way the lessons were organized and structured from alignment-anatomy first then into the teaching and practice teach. I've changed throughout this 200 hour course. I always hoped to be a little bit less sharp around the edges and that just shifted in a natural way. I really enjoyed how the course emphasized philosophy, history, theory, therapeutics and the fact that yoga is different for every body. I loved to learn about philosophy. I fell in love with Yoga Nidra and I found my new path in restorative yoga.

I loved the beautiful location of Salvatierra. It was peaceful, and the perfect place to focus on a yoga teacher training course. I was blessed to have a wonderful group of students to share this experience with, no drama or cliques. I learned so much from Peggy and Liz and I feel confident to begin teaching. I also learned how to better center myself with meditation and coming into the space of Yoga. I feel I am able to be present and in the moment better than before I arrived. I’m working on seeing others with eyes of love including myself which helped me tone down the inner critic. I loved learning about Ayurveda and Chakras to understand myself at a deeper level and how to find balance. I enjoyed the reflections of the Yoga Sutra to understand the deeper essence of yoga.

This entire training was like a piece of beautiful music; orchestrated smoothly, one teacher at a time shining brightly with her particular passion, yet all held together under the purpose of Yoga. Magically bringing each of us closer to our own essence. These teachers are in tune, in sync, well practiced, and deliver an inspiring yoga teacher training.

Everything here was wonderful. The location is just paradise, the learning was holistic and thorough, the practices were well laid out and thought through. Now looking back through my notes after these 18 fantastic days, I realized how much I have learned. I improved my personal practice through the alignment study. My understanding of yoga changed from seeing it as a way to stretch and restore from cardio, to a holistic practice to increase awareness and well-being. It effected my relationships as I learned to gain more empathy and widen my perspective on other people’s paths. Finally, my confidence received a massive boost. I am very grateful to our teachers, Liz and Peggy, for guiding us through with such kindness, care, diligence and professionalism. They are both wonderful teachers and their love for yoga shines and inspires

I loved to be immersed in my yoga training, not only in such a spiritual atmosphere, but my instructors were the best! I'm looking forward to taking my next training with them. They have really inspired me to pursue my goals in the industry, but beyond that they are so in tune with the love for yoga. It was the best decision ever made for me.

I had a wonderful experience with this program. The teachers were compassionate and patient, which was especially helpful as I dealt with anxiety and personal pain. Thanks to their kindness, I successfully achieved my Yoga Certification. The Ball Rolling course was amazing and provided great relief for my plantar fasciitis. The anatomy courses were mind-blowing, teaching me valuable insights about my body and safe movement. I enjoyed the 200-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training Program! I felt like a kid in a candy store - there is a yoga class for every mood and every occasion: chakra balancing, dosha balancing, active, gentle, restorative, teaching solid foundations and alignment, funky and playful, yin and the ball rolling. There is meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra and philosophy as well. I've been into yoga and meditation for 20 years and still I am learning so much! This is the most holistic and well-designed program I could have ever imagined and I teach online classes at a major university so I don't say this lightly. Zoom calls are great and practice teach pairing is helpful and unlimited mentoring calls are very appreciated. Plus, I get access to all the videos for the rest of my life! Wow, I feel like there is enough info there for me to learn from for the next 10 years! The experience was amazing for many reasons. The instructors were both great educators as well as experienced yogi’s and compassionate teachers. The Soma Yoga Institute 300 hour teacher training was amazing. The teachers were fantastic, the curriculum was thorough and thoughtful, the environment was perfect for the experience and the pacing was considerate of the needs of the group. I am so grateful that I chose this training.

Very personal experience that stayed aligned with yoga philosophy all the way through!I have heard horror stories about taking yoga classes online- teachers not being responsive/helpful or methodologies being taught not aligning with values of yoga. You WILL NOT have this issue at Soma Yoga Institute.I was able to communicate with all of my instructors for any clarity or guidance needed. I also received genuine encouragement and direction. I label it as genuine because it did not always include a way they could benefit from the information they gave. Soma Yoga Institute cares about providing thorough, safe instruction in the way each student needs to receive it.I will be taking additional courses here.
