We came up with the 67.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to solarreviews.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning solarreviews.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between solarreviews.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of solarreviews.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of solarreviews.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. solarreviews.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status

Online Reviews of solarreviews.com

I'm a solar energy novice and seriously considering acquiring a photovoltaic system for my home. Not knowing where to begin, I did a web search for solar energy contractors in my area and SolarReviews seemed as good a place to start as any. Not only were they able to quickly locate my house and property, give an initial cost estimate based on my provided information, they also listed regional contractors for my reference. In addition, there were helpful "do's and don'ts" videos about things to consider when choosing your provider.
Website was easy to navigate. The online estimate was fast.
I received 4 (as requested) contacts for solar installation almost immediately. The companies were solid and I was able to select the one that fit my needs. Very simple process.
Entire purpose is to get all your info then sell it to summary companies so they can email ... Call... Them if you don't pick up they will just show up at your house bc they paid $ for that lead just like Angie's List. But yes, you will get prices if your willing to listen to the pitch. And generalized prices of course. To be fair for a solid quote they would need to see the roof and maybe panel but most ppl don't have an old panel or damaged roof and just want a general quote. Long story short... Call a reputable company in your area. Works allot better. They are nothing but middle men which is fine
Solar estimator was very easy to use and quickly showed me the capacity and cost of a system for my house.
The information was helpfull and very accessible. Thank you.
It helped me know what questions to ask the solar panel sales people. And helped us connect with quality companies.
I am so grateful for Solar Reviews! Solar energy is a big subject when you don’t know much of anything about it. It can be overwhelming to even consider it. But putting your interest in solar energy out in the public domain, also makes me shutter! I imagine being hounded day and night by dozens of solar companies calling to give us quotes. That’s where the genius of Solar Review enters the picture! You can ask numerous questions to a knowledgeable source, without any fear of sales pressure. They are truly the answer we were looking for! Thank you Solar Reviews!
Good information about layout and size of system needed. And an estimate of savings.
First he did not push his ideas of selling. He listened to what I am trying to do other than roof installation. Also he understood that I am not looking for to make money by installing over 100% of our need. He will contact some contractors who will do smaller system on porch or carport. So I am looking forward to hearing back his recommended installers. Very pleasant conversation we had. Thank you.
Hannah Steele from Blue Raven was my Project Manager. She was great. She walked me through the presentation, answered all my questions and after I signed my paperwork, she stayed in contact with me during the construction, permit and energizing of my units. I still contact her from time to time to check on stuff for me or ask a question and without any hesitation, she finds an answer for me. Blue Raven did a great job on the installation and was timely for the inspections. My unit was energized in November 2023.
Solar energy is quickly becoming important due to continually rising electricity costs. We have recently moved into a new house and frequently solar sales people show up to sell us on their systems. I was able to use this solar calculator to determine the approximate costs for installing a system. It was very helpful and we learned that solar would actually cost us more than our current energy bill. I'm sure others will find the opposite, but this tool was extremely useful for us.
I needed to see if solar roof panels for my house was even financially possible for me. By answering a few questions, I was quickly able to get that cost estimate.
I went to the site. It asked for my home phone number. Then it asked me to enter a code, which it had sent to my phone. The phone was not a smart phone and I didn’t receive a call with a code. So I went back a page and gave my cell number. Never received a text or phone call.Since then, I am bombarded with a variety of spam calls.
We are planning to install solar panels for green energy on the home roof and came cross the website solarreview.com. The website is very helpful with the calculator for cost estimate. Furthermore the video takes you through the details in spreadsheets and shows possible negotiations you may use for your own project. I am very much grateful. Thank you!
Answering my questions and clarifying "what is the right move for me" is vital. THANK YOU. ... We will be on NEM2 & will start with a 5.14 solar system along with a 30K battery back-up. Our next move is to keep NEM2 & update to a 6.5 system. This allows us to run our HVAC or laundry a few hours per day. And with battery back-up we don't have to worry about PGE dependability. We now own that. ... The level of safety this provides for in the next 30 years is huge. And NEM2 allows us to sell power back to the criminal power providers so our system pays off on ROI within 7-8 years. Thereafter our true up is guaranteed to be positive in the THOUSANDS of Dollars. LOL

The fact that I could go there and enter my information to get a comparison and not end up getting bombarded by calls from solar companies trying to sell me solar. Thank you for that!!
I wanted to get a few quotes for solar installation so I went to Solar Reviews to find references. I was so pleased as how simple it was to be connected to reputable companies. By the end of the next day I had four appointments set with LOCAL companies that reached out. All of the people I spoke with were friendly and professional. Solar Reviews is a great way to get multiple quotes and information in a short period of time. Great service!
Within minutes of filling out their form I received calls from 3 Solar companies. I was able to setup appointments with them.I got something accomplished within a very short amount of time. Perfect!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
