I "met" several men on sniffies who were not at all as they portrayed themselves. They were either much older then what they had posted on their profile, or much heavier. One guy didn't look anything like his profile photo. I didn't even let him in my home. (if someone lies about one thing then they're probably lying about other things too.) They almost all wanted me to "host." Hosting meant me giving out my address to an unknown stranger. One of these strangers stole Rx medicine from me while using my bathroom. Another one after getting my address said "thanks" and never came over. Beware.
I very much like the 1) map feature the best though it is not always reliable/accurate 2) ease w/ which you can communicate w/ someone. BUT, on the negative: 1) there are often glitches w/ the software, e.g., preventing me from accessing & responding to someone's response 2) other scammers (using fake urls) plant messages as fake "responders" to entice site users onto other very questionable sites 3) there is NO way to alert the sniffies to this & dubious others.
Honestly this site only works as well as the people nearby. I live in a larger metro area, but most of the guys in my nearby location are married to a woman and looking for DL fun. Seems like there is a ton of passive guys on there, that are waiting for someone to make the first move, but this is most likely a thing with the guys in my area. I\'ve been on and off Sniffies for the last 5 years and I have not managed to find too many guys to meet up with. I\'ve had far more luck on Grindr, Scruff, and Craigslist was heaven back in the day. But I keep coming back because I love looking at naked guys. The whole porn aspect of Sniffies keeps me checking in on that site. If Sniffies moved to a NSFW type of format, I probably wouldn\'t ever use it because there are too many options that work better. Location based is a great concept but it doesn\'t work as well as Craigslist did. The thing about Craigslist is you could build up a bit of Rapport with your potential partner while screening them, whereas Sniffies mostly has guy that want to \'meet now\' while exchanging as little info about themselves as possible. This site is not friendly for those who play it safe or want to see if there is a connection before meeting up with someone, because the concept favors guys that will do any hole at any time. Because of that, I never found too many guy to hook up with on here. Don\'t get me wrong because I don\'t want or need to spend a ton of time chatting, but I want to know a guy\'s stats, what he looks like, and what he\'s into before I\'ll meet up with him. Sniffies has become rife with scams from scammer accounts, along with Bots, so watch out if you\'re a newbie. Some guys nearby have told me that users have tried the Face Pic extortion scam on them, and another guy told me someone was trying to run a Cryptocurrency scam on him. I\'m pretty careful. When I guy asks for a facepic or address too soon, I\'ll block him and I don\'t give out my phone number either. At one time I did have a second line for hookups, which I recommend if you\'re very active. Also, I don\'t hook up with guys that have anonymous accounts because that\'s asking for trouble. Finally, the payment method and billing used for the Premium account will be billed as Sniffies. Most sites use a different Billing name for this sort of thing.
