sncf-connect.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives sncf-connect.com a medium trust score on the platform: 58.8. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 58.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to sncf-connect.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning sncf-connect.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between sncf-connect.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of sncf-connect.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of sncf-connect.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. sncf-connect.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether sncf-connect.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether sncf-connect.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, sncf-connect.com.

Simply do not use the app. Next to useless, very buggy and the usual French level of customer service. Been here a long time and French organisations have severe problems with IT and websites. Also people tend to like email. If they read it at all you are not likely to get a response or one that is any use. Use 3rd parties to handle booking. Also it doesn't happen much but myself and a Scottish friend fell for a trick whereby the lady at the station sold me a ticket for La Rochelle but NOT from the station I got on! Very quickly afterwards a very nasty piece of work gave me a fine for having an invalid ticket. I wonder how many others have fallen into this trap.
I booked Rennes to Toulouse and back on SNCF connect. Unfortunately had to cancel. First leg , the cheapest, I might add cancelled and refunded. Rennes to Paris. Paris to Toulouse turned out to be OUIGO train which cannot be refunded only amended or sold. The return trip fron Paris to Toulouse cost me 157 euros. I insured this trip as my health is fragile only to discover only Rennes to Paris is covered. I've just been on to Ouigo site to see about booking next Spring to find it's 19 euros each way Paris to Toulouse. So why did SNCF CONNECT charge me 157 euros. I'm a pensioner and cannot afford to be misled and over charged. I want an explanation from them.n
SNCF-Connect weren’t able to issue E-tickets for foreign operated trains. SNCF advised that tickets would be sent to my home. After 15 days they weren’t sent. So, I notified SNCF-Connect who said sending the tickets was “the responsibility of another company” and they had no way of checking if or when tickets would be delivered. They advised obtaining tickets through another method and they will refund us the original ticket price which they did not deliver plus the difference we pay for new tickets. The new tickets price was more than what we purchased from SNCF connect at first. Now i have wasted one month running behind SNCF to get my refund, its like doing war to get their response, they wont reply you for weeks. In short they have only refund me the orignal ticket price and refused to refund the difference of new tickets purchased whereas they promised me the refund of nee ticket price. Worst experience of my life, the customers are suffering because of SNCF connect.
The website does not indicate, or at least does not make it clear, that you have to get your ticket validated/stamped in France if you are travelling from France to Italy. As a result, the train conductors have a field day with you when you make it into Italy on your 2nd train. After the very misleading website sold me a ticket from France to Milan for over €30, I had to buy another ticket from Ventimiglia to Milan, for a similar price. A request submitted to SNCF for a refund was subsequently denied (of course, Welcome To France). I do not recommend.
Nothing is working, I can't have mes justificatifs de voyage, more than half the trips are not bookable, I still don"t get what advantages my liberty card really have... The website and the app bugs too often, I'm logged out of the app every couple of months
WORST Train Ticket App/Website EVER! So many steps to find available trains and then additional steps to find prices and if you change the day there is an error, you have to start again! Absolute bullsh*t! Why can't they show the available trains and prices in one step after locations of places of travel and dates are provided? Why do they need additional crap in multiple steps?? It gets super annoying when after so may steps it give and error all the time.
We went on holiday to Bruges in December by train. Unfortunately, our train home was cancelled due to strike action, which meant we had the added expense of staying in Paris and then booking another train two days later. I made a claim for reimbursement of my cancelled train on the 17th December (reference R23251461). Three months later, my claim is still open and I'm still awaiting a response. At one point, I was told I'd receive a voucher within 24 hours - that never happened and it's not what I want anyway - I just want a refund. Trying to get hold of anyone at SNCF by email is impossible it seems.
How is it possible that a company that can run an entire large-scale train network in 2023 can have such an outrageously terrible website for booking? Also SNCF, we know you've seen these reviews – when are you going to fix it?
SNCF-Connect weren’t able to issue E-tickets for foreign operated trains. SNCF advised that tickets would be sent to my home. After 15 days they weren’t sent. So, I notified SNCF-Connect who said sending the tickets was “the responsibility of another company” and they had no way of checking if or when tickets would be delivered. They advised obtaining tickets through another method and requesting a refund. In short: For tickets outside of France SNCF-Connect took money, sent no tickets, said it wasn’t their responsibility to send tickets and acknowledged they had no way of knowing if tickets would be sent.
Unbelievable that this is official train reservation web site for the French national train. As if a first year student was building this web site. And not only that, it seems that the site's interfaces are bad as well, because if you try another way (like TrainLine) they write "not applicable" for totally correct journeys.
I can't explain the lack of intelligence that makes the app think it's ok to include a different starting point when you search for tickets from station A to station B (specific stations, not cities). This very poor programming cost me 170 euros today.
Totally dreadful and useless appCompletely unintuitive and very very difficult to useThe old app was far far betterThe reviews are overwhelmingly terrible 1.1 out of 5 stars for an app from a large company like this Absolute disgrace
Broken website keeps displaying :"Sorry, an error has occurred. Please try again later." Then it goes back to the main page. They have a chat on the page (just a robot), with an option to request to talk to an agent, which then asks to use whatsapp or messenger (???) Why would you go through the trouble of setting up chat on your site if it is for the robot only and then you ask your customer to create whatsapp account// for real??I purchased the tickets (same tickets) from another website. This adds costs, but I do not see any other way. This site is completely useless.
This is the wordt website ever to book train tickets, my advice is to use Trainline. Apart from that, Trainline also shows tickets of other companies on some routes, so you know you have the best prices.
‐-----------SNCF CONNECT is a subcontractor of SNCF, it does not work properly. I encountered an anomaly during the cancellation as soon as my tickets on the SNCF CONNECT application. Since the end of November 2022 I claim the refund without result. Finally, after 7 months following several phone calls and several email complaints I received the refund only for my ticket to go. To date, I have still not received a refund for my return ticket. I no longer buy my train tickets from the sncf Connect app, I buy them every week at the station.
I booked my trip from Strasbourg to Cherbourg via sncf-connect.com with a bicycle reservation. I decided to change the booking to an earlier train which was easy. However, without any warning, the booking system took out my bicycle reservation for the TGV going from Strasbourg to Paris. When I came to Strasbourg to board the TGV on the 27th of January in the morning, the TGV staff members told me that this TGV does not accept bicycles - and then I realized that the bicycle was not on my reservation anymore. I asked if I could still take it as an exemption because of the faulty booking system. I told the staff members that I would be willing to stand the 2 hours on the train, but I was not allowed in. Unfortunately, the few TGVs that allow bicycles were all booked out at this stage. So I ended up taking only regional trains through the whole of France and staying two nights in hotels until my next ferry from Cherbourg to Rosslare went. This will put many people off using climate friendly means of transport.
How do they even sell tickets?Once you make it threw the crappy buggy app, without the app restarting after you put in your info, the payment-process never works. How do they even sell tickets? Used sbb.ch to book TGV and worked flawlessly.
I bought a train ticket in Italy through this app. But after I bought a non refundable ticket, they told me that I have to go in France to get my ticket printed. And refused to refund me. I had to buy a ticket again and pay a fine.Never buy anything on this app.
L’application a vendu un billet sur un train TER inexistant.
Trip from Paris Nord to Calais, rebooked without problems to another day to Lille (twice). Booking works in general, but I had problem with new user registration which doesn't seems to work.Cons: Lille Europe station is closed right after last train.Pros: Website has English version. Train from Paris to Lille very fast and convenient, charging ports available on every seat. Toilets are fine and convenient.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
