smartyplus.net Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives smartyplus.net a medium trust score on the platform: 51.60. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Questionable. Minimal Doubts. Controversial..

We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 51.60 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to smartyplus.net's industry. The algorithm detected possible high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Questionable. Minimal Doubts. Controversial. tags above.

Long story short, we recommend using caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning smartyplus.net, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between smartyplus.net and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of smartyplus.net. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of smartyplus.net, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below.

A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

smartyplus.net is a dubious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether smartyplus.net has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether smartyplus.net boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, smartyplus.net.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.

Are You the Owner of smartyplus.net?

If you own smartyplus.net, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.

When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.).

We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.

  1. They charged my husband without his knowledge but have already refunded $22 ($19 + $3 initial charge). They have promised to refund another $114 that is due to us. I don’t know how they operate, but I’m glad to have your information as I was tempted to give them another chance. But we don’t need help on items we purchase; we can afford to pay for what we need. Thank you for your service.

  2. I AM THOROUGHLY FRUSTRATED WITH SPARTYPLUS.NET. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES THEY ARE RUDE AND THEY HANG UP ON YOU. ALL THEY HAVE DONE IS CONTINUE TO TAKE MONEY OFF MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT MY CONSENT. OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS I HAVE CONTINUALLY ASKED THEM TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE, WITH NO COMPLIANCE FROM THIS JANKY WEBSITE. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REIMBURSEMENT FROM SMARTYPLUS.NET. AS OF TODAY, THEY OWE ME ABOUT $300. I JUST CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN AND THEY JUST WANTED TO ARGUE WITH ME AND THEN HUNG UP ON ME THREE TIMES. THEY REFUSED TO PUT ME THROUGH TO A SUPERVISOR OR PUT ME ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR AND HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! THIS ONLINE BUSINESS JUST STEALS YOUR MONEY, YOU DO NOT GET ANY PERKS OR SAVE MONEY AT ALL. IF YOU ENJOY BEING RIPPED OFF GO FOR IT… I DON’T I CANT GET ANYONE TO HELP ME OUT HERE.

      Yvonne,
I like your name. Those crooks charged my credit card $3.00. I reported fraude and got a new credit card number.
      All set.

      Do the same please.

  3. My mother’s account has had nineteen dollars taken out mysteriously every month for a solid year. She just found out about Smartyplus today. She contacted her bank, and is setting up an inquiry and a dispute to try to get her money back.

Guys, DO NOT complain to THIS website about it; they merely report potential scams. You need to go to Smartyplus and take it up with THEM.

  4. Gloria Greene

I I don’t know anything about this program you have I did not sign up for this. You have been taking money out of my account every month and I just noticed it this month I want my money back. I will report this to the fraud division. Because I did not okay you to take money out of my account.

  5. Gloria Greene

I did not sign up for this. I would appreciate it if you would stop taking money out of my account. I need to report this situation because I need my money back. I am on a fixed income I don’t even know what your

  6. I as well just noticed they have been charging me since 02.15.21 for a total of $303.00 of fraudulent charges. I have never signed up for this. I just completed the online chat with someone by the name of Sravan and was told I had to send an email to level 2 support. I have sent an email and if it’s not resolved in 24 hours I will be filing fraud with my bank tomorrow.

  7. i just discovered a $19 charge on my Visa & have never heard of Smartyplusnet! How do I get ahold of them? Will I be charged the $19 every month? I went to the bank today & told them. If I get another $19 charge, I will deny payment. Makes me mad. I work for my money!

  8. Pretty much the same story as others: I ordered an item from Target in the amount of $170–during the ordering process, I was offered a code to get $15 off. Thinking it was a promotion, I clicked on the “bait”. Then got charged $3, but was still anticipating I would net a $12 rebate…until I got charged $19. So, all in, I was about to pay $22 to get a $15 rebate. Hmmm, not so “smarty”, eh? Fortunately, my bank declined the $19 charge and SmartyPlus.net canceled my so-called subscription, which I never set up. Of course, I also had to get a new card just to be sure they wouldn’t try to charge me again. OBTW, there’s no rebate, either.

  9. Smartyplus.net sucks in credit card numbers from multiple coupon sites like restaurantji.com and will bill your card 19 bucks a month. I called them and they refunded my 79 buck that they sucked out without us knowing. They were nice about it but kept trying to sell me on a monthly plan that seemed impossible to go with based on this shady business dealing.

  10. I just got a call from fraud protection on my card stating I had a $19 charge from them. I haven’t used my card. I got lucky they caught it and I check my card daily. The BBB has all the same complaints and $19 seems to be the consistent amount.

  11. Richard Cassady

I have been billed on my credit card account for $19.00 a month for the passed 19 month as never ordered or received anything for this amount! I do not have an account with them! Called them at 310-593-4557 Asked for my refund and they did refund only 6 month of payment and said that is the MAX they could refund. Totally a SCAM…they are crooks ay SmartyPlus.net. They emailed me something that highlighted something that said they cannot refund anything past 6 months! That is totally Theft! Stay away and be safe!

  12. Tried to order food online and thought I was on a legit restaurant site. I was charged $3 and then realized my mistake. Thinking it was a one time charge( because I didn’t go through any sign up process) and I was unsure how to dispute the charge,I let it go. I was then charged $19 a week later that I was unaware of until today, a month later, when they charged another $19. I contacted Smartyplus.net and basically was offered an attorney’s advice for $1. The convo was ended and I contacted the cc to dispute the charges and prevent further charges.

  13. I also was taken in, and see that I’ve been paying into it since June. I didn’t see it on my online statements. It is IMPERATIVE that all statements be scrutinized carefully. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS “SERVICE”!! i lost $135.

  14. My wife tried to order takeout from a new restaurant. She found a fraudulent website that appeared to belong to the restaurant. When she tried to place the food order with her credit card, the site set up an account that has been billing $19 each month. I called the number on the bill 3105934557 and they said that they will cancel the ‘seevice’. We will see
