Is smartbuyglasses.co.uk Legit?

I was quite hesitant about buying glasses online, but took the plunge and it all worked out really well. With a prescription from Specsavers and their free adjustment service, I've now got a new pair of varifocals with brilliant designer frames that Specsavers couldn't provide. This worked out much cheaper and even a bit faster than high street opticians.

I saved over £110 in total on my new glasses buying from here rather than in store at vision express. A sneaky photo of the product code in store then did an internet search. Smartbuy were by far the cheapest. After uploading my variofocal prescription onto their site I received my glasses 10 days later. Great eco packaging too. Customer service was very good and I would highly recommend this company

So pleased with my 2 pairs of sunglasses that I'm keeping them both. One pair arrived very soon and the other came the following week, as advised. No duties to pay and they are authentic Smith optics. Super great value and no hassles with timings or quality, so I am very pleased I chose this company.

My wife and I are amazed by these beautiful classy stylish sunglasses. A little bigger coming out from the sides of her head because of their unique hexagonal shape, but nothing to worry about… my wife does have a small bonce after all. Both the robust narrow black frames and the dark optical lens scream high quality… indeed, the arms seem so wonderfully strong. Really couldn’t have asked for better… surpassed our expectations which were quite high in the first place !

Good value. Company kept me informed of order progress. Took a little longer than anticipated but only small quibble.

Bought frames only before eye exam unfortunately after eye exam I was informed that frames were not suitable for my prescription. So I went back to smartbuyglasses filled in the return’s explaining what had happened and maybe 1or2 days later they sent me an email back containing a printable returns form and how to return goods. It also explained to me that upon receiving my return they would inspect the goods and if all ok they would give full refund within 5 days and they did it took about 3 days so a big thank you .

Ordered a pair of Nike specs, really poorly glazed, within an hour of receipt they were packaged for return (to be fair they handled this well).Second, while the company has a .co.uk website, the tracking showed the glasses came from Milan to Frankfurt to UK and took almost 3 weeks.Third despite me receiving a refund they continue to bombard me with requests for feedback - 3 so far.Overall a disappointing experience, I did what I should have done in the first place and went to my local optician who delivered inside a week for £10 less.EDIT: the company contacted me after the review and asked me to clarify my review. I therefore state as follows:1. The quality of the product was poor and I had no second thoughts about returning it.2. The customer service element was fine, and messages were always responded quickly.3. The company clarified that the lenses are processed in Italy and Hong Kong. Up to them, however if I had known that I would not have bought to start with as there are plenty of UK suppliers.I therefore think 3* is fair overall.

I tried these people for the first time a few weeks ago, and they are indeed reasonably priced, they do deliver your glasses quickly and very well packaged. The two reasons I did not give them five stars are the lack of visual details on the sunglasses available; probably all the products I looked at had only two photos, one for the glass and another for the case. That's it; no other photos or illustrations. The second reason is that the result filtering is not really flexible, so you only get to tick one box in each filter category, meaning you have to do multiple searches instead of one. Still, they are recommended for sure.

Great shades from Italy. Polar brand. They arrived on time and well packaged. Also smartbuyglasses kept me informed throughout the process of where abouts the delivery was and when to expect them. They also let you buy on Klarna which for folk like me on minimum wage makes luxury items achievable to buy. Would definitely use this company again.
