slickdeals.net Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives slickdeals.net the absolute highest trust score on the platform: 100. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Safe. Secure. . We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this very high score? We came up with the 100 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to slickdeals.net's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Safe. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we label this website as secure and trustworthy. We explain this in more detail below.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning slickdeals.net, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between slickdeals.net and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of slickdeals.net. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of slickdeals.net, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. slickdeals.net is a secure website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether slickdeals.net has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether slickdeals.net boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, slickdeals.net.

Online Reviews of slickdeals.net

  • Trustpilot
  • Score: 2.1
I know people are hating on the "bots", them making commissions off people for affiliate programs etc but that's how the internet works people; that's the price we pay for the deals when we're not literally following every shopping vendor daily to find the deals our selves. There are other places to get deals but few have features like their deal alerts. Slick's privacy practices and customizable preferences for contacting via email etc are quite fair. Some other good deals sites/apps are CamelCamelCamel and Keepa for Amazon item price alerts. This site and it's member still finds the killer deals 20+ years later.
Mods are zombie like in their enforcement of Amazon third party deals. There is also good evidence that staff favors deals that otherwise does not meet the minimum number of reviews of the item and seller lifetime rating. Basically hypocrisy and many people suspect they (employees) themselves are shills while they assume others just wanting to share deals are. The reality is enthusiasts do a TON of free work for them and they are rejecting it. Bye.
Stay away from this scammer site. They let you do the free work ... copy your posts under their names to grab the commission and after that will censor, ban, delete your account for no reason (this is exactly what happend to me today). Stay away from this completely dishonest page which is only here for the owners max profit while they want to let you work for free or not even that.
The entire site is a shill site for Amazon, Walmart, Travelocity, and any company that pays them an affiliate fee. They will intentionally post deals that are from less than reputable vendors, are no deals at all, and could care less about the members. They want their affiliate fees only. The staff are like bots, never responding, but if a deal is on Amazon for a penny off, it's suddenly a hot deal. The only deals you'll ever find are seldom, and if you find one, it's posted by a member which the mod will take and claim as their own. You also have to use an adblocker or you get popups all the time. What a joke of a site. And greedy.
Not sure why so many people complain here about Slickdeals, especially since its a FREE service. I have been using the site for well over a decade (when I was still in High School) and have found it to be extremely useful over the years. The deals are there, you just need to know how to find them and put your time into it.
I used to really enjoy this site but recently it’s been giving me random pop ups claiming “I won a prize” or informing me how I can “enlarge my penis”. It’s pretty much unusable anymore. Gonna have to find a new site for deals. Sad.
As so many others have stated, this site is now effectively worthless. It has become a click-farm for affiliate links. You will the same handful of sites reposted with "deals" day after day.I'm a newer user of the site/app and after months of reading deals being posted it's clear this is a complete waste of time.If this site was ever good, that time has long past and after corporate overlords and likely new management took over it's just a advertising platform now.
Although nothing like it was before it was sold, you can occasionally find a deal on Slickdeals. But, for the most part, any 'deals' today are pushed by affiliate commissions and shill endorsements that are often either 'new,' or have "Pro" attached to their ID. You need to do your own research and price comparisons.PS: If you are not using an ad blocker, never click on ads shown on Slickdeals.net
I love the site - been using it for a few years, now. Just watch, it can get addictive. While tech/electronics and tool related deals are some of the most common deals, there are also deals in kitchen/garden/auto/pet etc, etc. You'll sometimes find discount codes on deals that you may not find anywhere else. So, it's definitely worth not only visiting the site using your browser - but get the app, as well. It makes deal monitoring much quicker and easier - just be careful, as it can get addictive... at least that's what I've heard. ;)
Slickdeals was bought out by Goldman Sachs in June 2018, and it's been barely worth visiting since then. Most posts now are either made by Slickdeals employees, or else by members that get paid in one way or another, and only for stores that pay Slickdeals a cut (mainly Amazon), so posts to "hot deal" are rarely hot deals anymore.
I recently joined as the website seems legit in most cases however I haven't purchased a thing because via web search or Slickdeals site I've been unable to get an important answer regarding an important question. That being, are these prices qouted online in US greenbacks only or Canuck bucks for Canadian app users? Today's lovely news is;1 United States Dollar equals1.34 Canadian DollarFeb. 27, 6:32 p.m. UTC ·So, unless someone can give me an answer today I give up and will be looking for deals elsewhere (except Ebay....never again! 🤣 Don't ask).
Buyers Beware:I have come across a sponsored ad on Slickdeals by NaseShopping.com that is a total SCAM. Red flags were raised as soon as I received my receipt from PayPal stating that I made a donation. No where on the order site did it state that the transaction was to be posted as a donation. Now PayPal has refused to honor my disputed claim since it was processed as a donation.
Slickdeals cashback is a total scam. They will deny cashback if you yse credit card that gives you some kind of rewards - which is almost every credit card nowadays. Website is promoting paid deals for the last 10 years and it is not what it used to be.To clarify on SD reply: I did not use another cashback app and the link was from SlickDeals - valid. SD denied the cashback because I used credit card for payment (MasterCard)
What makes slickdeals so good to use to find the best prices are the comment sections where fellow users share their opinions on the different offers, products, and prices. This allows you to really see if you are getting the best deal and even some comparisons of competitive products and pricing trends.
Terrible site ran by immature moderators. I had posted a deal and I was accused of "shilling" and the post was removed. When I asked the moderator about the accusation and if they had proof that I was doing anything wrong, they banned my account that I had for over 15 years. So screw them - they clearly pander to their top deal posters since they receive a small portion of sales from their top rated deals.
Biased Moderators. Posting deals on slickdeals is almost impossible as they dont even look at the posts you submit for approval. They dont even reply back when questioned and post deals as they see fit. Different rules for different deal posters.
Like so many others posting here, I've been a SD member for over 15 years, posting very rarely, mostly checking stuff out and trying to be helpful to others....then suddenly out of the blue, they banned my account. No explanations, no warning, nothing...and I haven't posted anything for weeks.Emailed asking why they did this, but looks like they aren't going to bother to replyWell Screw them
Like others have said, I had an old account that I used very occasionally. Then logged in and got a notice that I was banned. No evidence that my account had been hacked or anything else. No recent posts or activity. Just, a ban with no information or response from the site admins as to why. Not a big deal, just strange, and perhaps representative of the site’s professionalism.
This site used to be good, where people can share deals freely. Now the site is censoring posts and sending out warnings to benefit its own agenda and corporate greed. There are so many better products out there but many are banned. It's not worth posting anything on here anymore. Very sad to see.
This pathetic excuse for a company offered 5% back on ebay purchases. I activated the extension and it said cashback activated but of course after spending $4200 on ebay they claimed I did not. I sent screenshots of the extension saying it was still activated after paying but they did not care. They got their money from ebay but did not give me the $100 I am owed.

“Very helpful”

Since I found SD, I make sure to check it before every purchase. They have an endless variety of items, and it really helps with saving money, especially if you subscribe to the items you're interested in. Just a heads up, though – there's a high chance of buying too much stuff! :) Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“This website enables me to discover affordable yet practical products.”

The comments and reviews posted by other users aid in my decision-making process by providing valuable insights into the product's ability to meet a specific need, as well as highlighting any potential limitations. Through this platform, I have gained knowledge about the usability and dependability of various products. Ultimately, the website's focus on helping me obtain the most suitable product at the best price is what makes it an invaluable resource. Tip for consumers:This website makes it possible for me to find reasonably priced but useful goods. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“I even made some great friends through SlickDeals.”

It's an amazing platform that has helped me save so much money on my purchases. I'm always blown away by the incredible deals and discounts they have on a variety of products. Not only that, but the community of users is so supportive and helpful. I even made some great friends through SlickDeals.

“I enjoy the site.”

I always have a good experience checking SlickDeals offers.

“Using it for years”

I was looking for a PS5 because my wife said buy one, and thanks to a post on slickdeals I saved over $30

“Addicting... one of my favorite sites”

Slickdeals is too addicting. I've been on there since 2005 and still check the site every day. Their deal alerts are also helpful... but you have to be able to control what you buy or you will just end up buying too much stuff you don't need and it won't save you any money.

“Many choices”

Love Slickdeals for the variety of choices, offers and deals where the word is spread quickly!

“Alright deals, terrible support.”

From time to time I will find some interesting deals on the website, but their support is wholly useless. Having been a lurker for nearly five years, I finally decided to create an account in order to respond to one of the deals. I decided to register using a Google account. Slickdeals in their infinite wisdom decided to create the username instead of letting me choose it, but it did pop up to choose a different if I wanted. I made my choice. It then went to a blank page. Reloading the page would also be blank. It didn't work. My real name was my username. I didn't really want to use my real name, therefore I decided to go ahead and request a change. They have a way to request a change, but it has to be manually approved. I went ahead and did that, but also sent an email to support. I let them know the situation; I asked them to take a look at the request and approve it, or otherwise remove the account. I received a response asking me to request a username change. I already requested a username change. The support agent didn't read the email. I went ahead and asked them to remove the account as a result. It was a 15 second read. That's all it would've taken for them to see that I was just asking them to check the username change request. Even if they couldn't take care of it immediately, I would've like to have known that they actually read and understood my request. It's an alright website, but I wouldn't register and create an account with them.

“Almost religiously check SD before making any purchases...”

Almost religiously check SD before making any purchases for anything lately. There has been far too many times I've found the same item for far cheaper via SD, or if its not urgent, I just leave a deal alert till I find it for the right price. Highly recommended and hope it doesn't get too commercialized with companies running their products as ads like other sites end up being

“Monitoring deals all over the internet.”

Track the best deals online automatically with this website and its browser extension. I found some hefty sales using Slickdeals

“The products promoted by staff are not necessarily good, maybe we should treat all products equally”

The products promoted by staff are not necessarily good, maybe we should treat all products equally to select good deal products

“Great selection and prices”

Always new products with excellent prices. Look forward to new emails daily.

“Ninebot Scooter”

This is Godfrey Dingal, a reviewer for that scooter, am I able to get an extension fro the 21-day limit?

“Must be ran by left wing loonies.”

Don't dare say anything about how much prices have skyrocketed on everything we buy since January 2021. They will censor you and apply points like you are a 10 year old in school. They have turned WOKE. I have found many good deals on Slickdeals though.

“Saving money since 2008”

I could not live without Slickdeals! Especially in these challenging times, between inflation and supply chain disruptions.

“Must have”

Simple, if you like saving money Slickdeals is a no brainer.

“Great place to find deals”

One of the best places to find great deals on various products based on your keywords. Saves a lot of money and energy. All the great deals in one single place.

“Good deals”

Good site to visit for sales. Forums are helpful SOMETIMES. But buyer beware as anyone can be anyone. Look for users with real detailed product experience instead of parroted hearsay of aye or nay which often plagues the forums.unfortunately the signal to noise ratio has dropped. Not everything listed is gold or sh. Just use as a starting place to research to make decisions. Tip for consumers:Use in conjunction with sites like Amazon reviews and other review sites like trustpilot BBB, gamespot, reviewdata, Google shopping and the like. Always base decisions from multiple points of reference if unfamiliar with the item Products used:TCL mesh router purchased as a gift for a friend Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Slickdeals is my go-to for finding out the scoop on...”

Slickdeals is my go-to for finding out the scoop on good deals and not-so-good deals. Sometimes, I think something is slick until I read about all of the issues folks on SD had with items. I also have learned a lot purely by reading the comments. I have gotten some super great prices by using slickdeals and have always recommended SD. I don't feel like the deals are as slick as they used to be, but overall, I still find much better prices on things I need and don't need by checking here first!

“Well, I'm not technically buying anything on Slickdeals....”

Well, I'm not technically buying anything on Slickdeals.... I'm just gaining awareness of the best deals on the Internet. But yes, it's generally a very good experience. I appreciate that any deal posted also shows feedback, so you can research if a promo code doesn't appear to be working, etc.

“Great Savings.”

Slickdeals is a great site to experience great savings. You can and will find great bargains by using this site. No worries about Christmas or Birthday gifts. Finding that one item you can't live without now is easier at the incredibly low prices you discover on this site. I highly recommend this site for everyone to use. If you love to save money you will love this site. Don't take my word for it try it out. I did and I have never regretted that decision.

“I've saved thousands of dollars using this site from...”

I've saved thousands of dollars using this site from purchasing every day items to gifts for family and friends. If only my friends and family knew how much I paid for some the exclusive item they have enjoyed over the years. The community ensures nobody buys something for more than they needed to. Resulting in steep discounts on stellar merchandise.

“Nah...”

Most of the coupons on this site does not work. Some of the deals are more expensive than going directly to the original website to buy products. So be careful. Do the research first.

“Slickdeals has become my most addictive favorite site...”

Slickdeals has become my most addictive favorite site to find great deals !! I find it fascinating that a man came up with this idea years ago sitting in his room. Look at what it's grown to be! Dreams are possible out there folks, don't ever give up with any creative idea you might have. Give slickdeals a try, you'll LOVE IT ! Just take the time to read up on it, because there is tips that will get you on your way to saving a lot of money. LOVE SLICKDEALS ! The only problem I see, is that you will find yourself glued to the screen not wanting to miss out on the next awesome bargain !

“Slickdeals can be a bit complicated but it's super...”

Slickdeals can be a bit complicated but it's super useful in finding good deals! Highly recommend looking up anything you're going to buy on slickdeals before you buy anywhere else.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a

fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
