Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 78.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to silversingles.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning silversingles.co.uk, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between silversingles.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of silversingles.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of silversingles.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. silversingles.co.uk is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether silversingles.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether silversingles.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, silversingles.co.uk.

Online Reviews of silversingles.co.uk

  • Trustpilot
  • Score: 2.0
I am reviewing this dating site as a 60+ woman and having used the site now for 4 months. In comparison, it has to be the worst to date. There is little wiggle room in how you are 'allowed' to respond to the set questions, with reviewers making decisions on what you can and can't say. Depending on who reviews your information will set the tone for what other people will get to to know about you. Therefore your information ends up feeling dry, and your true responses unlike you. For what I've paid, and it isn't cheap I would prefer a site where my information is allowed to remain as I've written itso people get a sense of who I am. I'm not crude, don't use bad language but the reviewers are clearly biased.
Use this site only if you have an extreme desire to burn your money 💵 on such things as: additional features, automatic renewal of your subscription, bogus charges and message exchange with robots. Jokes aside, don't let these fraudsters rob you. There are a few serious platforms like J4Dream.com It was not specifically designed for seniors but just use their search filters and search within your age range. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to cancel your SilverSingles subscription. The easiest way is just to call your bank and block your card. This is how most users end their relationship with SilverSingles.
This site has to rate as a scam! Before they took my subscription, I had several contacts a day for almost a week. The day my bank account was debited, all contacts dried up & I had no replies to new messages. AT THE SAME TIME (since 18 August 2023), I have been INUNDATED with emails from 6-8 different dating sites for over-70s. Where did they get my address? Just try to make sure that they don't continue taking 'repeat' subscriptions... I should have looked at Trustpilot before!!
I was looking online for 100% Free Dating Sites and came across Silversingels, nowhere did it state that there was a subscription fee to be paid ???? It takes me almost 20 minutes to complete all the questions and before I can even look at the supposed matches the page comes up to pay a subscription AND THEY ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE. DO NOT FALL FOR THAT, ALWAYS COME TO TRUSTPILOT AND CHECK THEM OUT !!!!!!!
This is a scam, I think. Not quite sure how big a scam it is, but major in my little life. It is awfully good at lying and presenting fake invented people and attempting to make me pay for associate sites (which are probably owned by the same Company ) but basically STAY CLEAR!!
Customer Service (based in Germany) appears to be nonexistent! They leave amended profiles “In Review” for days leaving them invisible to other members. It’s rubbish!I also notice there are very few new members day after day. Considering the high price for this site it is oversold and underperforms. I do not recommend it.
I was going to join silver singles to I read trust pilot reports, I thank fully have NOT paid them any money I have tried to delete my details, but they keep sending me e-mails. It appears I am going round in circles trying to contact them,BEWARE OF THIS SITE I BELEIVE LIKE OTHERS IT IS A SCAM
Multiple issues. The latest is that the website is not responsive: I get email messages to my account with active links to follow up (e.g. to contact people who are trying to contact me) - except they dont't work. I can't log in to the site, I can't log in to my account. When it has worked I get "suggestions" about or from people that do not match my criteria. I have 'warnings' from the sytem that my settings are too "strict" - but that is MY choice. They are too happy to collect the fee but the service stinks.
Read the terms of renewal carefully. Whilst you have the right to cancel the initial membership within 14 days you can’t for a renewal. I was sure I’d set it to NOT automatically renew, it did. Not able to recoup the money and it will now run for a further 6 months. So much for the discount. They’ll get their money somehow it seems.
If you see this old man on a dating site it's not genuine.I don't smoke or drink from choice, it was my appalling optomism again. If you open a email from this lot you open and install their site on your phone and remain logged in.I don't keep money on a phone I use for this nonsence.I could not delete my picture after they claimed it was not acceptable but still there. They claimed I could not view their unsubscribe rules ( auto payments) because I was only a basic member, and there you have it. All T&C's should be open. The dating pool ? I could honestly say hello to more people walking down the high st in my local town.
Thank you everyone for your reviews. I was going to subscribe but have now decided against it.
Avoid and see the .com site reviews as well for more insight to poor services:- First experience two years ago, I found that the system will do the searching for you. You cannot access the profile database and do the searching yourself. The system will push 20 profiles to you a day. That is your quota, you cannot browse any profile yourself. I queried this with support who advised that their algorithms present profiles based on your profile and are thus providing you with good quality matches. Wrong. I'm in IT and in AI and work with software developers. A computer cannot determine whether you're attracted to a person's photographs and profile. Opposites also attract? I left the site as soon as my sub was up and moved to Elite Singles - much better.I made a mistake signing up to Silversingles again in 2023, forgetting it was the site with the poor algorithm driven matching system and no profile search facility. I made a further mistake by thinking I had switched off the auto-renew. Sadly, Silver singles without any email warnings of their intent to debit my account for renewal, took a further 6 months subscription off. Of course they wouldn't issue a pending debit advice, they are clearly aiming to catch people and know they would lose a lot of renewals if they did warn people in advance. Instead, they are losing subscribers and their networks for life, I've been doing a good job of telling everyone - friends, family and now an online public forum not to use this service, so hopefully they will lose way more revenue than my subscription. I requested cancellation and a refund, the answer was no. I would have been okay with having to pay one month, or even two in penalty for early cancellation of a renewal. Their contract allows 3 days cooling off when you buy your sub, but tough luck if it renews without advance warning, the 3 days cooling off doesn't apply. Most companies allow cancellation of services, eg car insurance companies allow you to cancel a year subscription and will refund you with a penalty clause for early cancellation. They also issue emails warning you of a renewal of your plan. That is professional business practice. This company Silver Singles is not professional for debiting bank accounts without forewarning and then refusing to allow cancellation of services and refund with a penalty clause. Add to the poor T&C's, the poor actual service with limited access to the profiles database, with the computer making choices for you and not allowing you to search freely yourself. Avoid.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
