Is silvercuisine.com Legit?

I'm disappointed to say that while my husband and i enjoyed many meals from Bistro MD then Silver Cuisine, we were unpleasantly surprised with a recent delivery and poor customer service. One of the many deliveries we received the quality of the meals was terrible. I was away and my husband was relying on the meals during my absence. He said they tasted so bad he had to throw them out and even found some plastic in one meal. Knowing that without the information from the packaging or a photo of the meals, their response would be limited but I felt we should let them know about our experience. In my email, i acknowledged that we did not have the pertinent information to provide but wanted to let them know the experience of a steady, 2 year customer. What i received back was an email touting how providing a quality product is very important to them: "We are proud to serve the same quality, natural food we eat at our own dinner table. We ship hundreds of thousands of healthy and delicious meals each month and have been for the past 17 years. This is not a usual occurrence with our meals. As a company built on the foundation of integrity, we take quality control and food safety very seriously. Our meals are inspected through multiple check points to ensure we serve only the highest quality foods."They then asked for information on that shipment which proves they just sent me a canned response and did not even read my email. I followed up reiterating my concerns but they chose to provide no further communication. Needless to say, we are now former customers.

Excellent customer service (Emily) helped me with my tracking number.Always good selection of foods! I’ve been a faithful customer for over 3 years. No complaints here. If I do run into a shipping issue. Silver Cuisine will make it right. I’d give them 10 stars! Will continue to order as long as I can afford itThanks again Emily!

My first order from Silver Cuisine was, for the most part, good tasting. My second order was awful. Extremely bland, tough protein portions and the mix of starch/vegetables was unpalatable. I purchased both orders through an awards program and have never received the points. There is no way to track your shipment, which is very important to me.

The meals have great variety and that makes it easier to stick with the program. The food is tasty and I can tell a chef has had a hand in creating the dishes (lots of flavor in different layers). I have used several frozen meal programs like this one, and this is the best. It's easy to make a couple meals a week myself and alternate it with these pre-made ones. Thank you to Emily, the Customer Service Rep who helped me when I called in to inquire about the new Vegan meals. She was very helpful in showing me around the webpage. I will continue to order meals from Silver Cuisine, and I highly recommend their product!

I like that silver cuisine is in this sector and I understand what they are trying to do. Their customer service is prompt and kind but about half their meals I dreaded eating because it was an all or none. Half of what I tried was wonderful - the other half was almost inedible. So I never knew what I was getting. The meals always came promptly and well packaged but for someone on a low sodium diet these were too bland. No flavor in the meals that I didn’t enjoy. There also were no prep instructions. Some meals I heated for 7 minutes (like the chicken cordon blu) were still frozen in the center. For me there wasn’t enough variety to rotate through of meals I enjoyed. I’ll be using magic kitchen instead from here on out because their meals taste significantly better and their pricing is competitive.
