shopterrain.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives shopterrain.com a fairly high trust score on the platform: 80.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 80.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to shopterrain.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning shopterrain.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between shopterrain.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of shopterrain.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of shopterrain.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. shopterrain.com is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether shopterrain.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether shopterrain.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, shopterrain.com.

This Is a "financial" company similar to Western Union or PayPal, with the tiny difference that is a total fraud. I received a payment and somehow when I tried to withdraw my funds, they ask for a TIN code, which I paid as Im not a US resident and I dont know the specific laws for taxes, which really scared me, even when I've received payments for proyects in dollars; and my taxes are paid in my country, then again they asked for a ABA code, as an insurance to prevent money laundering and make a secure transfer. After that a TAC requested via email. What makes it completely wrong, is that they ask you to transfer from a personal account into another person through a MEXICAN bank, and they "refund" directly to your Terrain account, but remember you cant touch that money cause they need another fee, and then another, and another... They're incapable of giving you a phone number, a name, an address, nothing. And you cant proceed until you pay... And you see your digital account grow and grow, but you cant touch it. BE VERY CAREFUL with this pseudo company
Every year I am foolish enough to purchase from this company and every year their items are on back order for 3 months…the people that work there are usually rude or arrogant and I am just tired tired tired of telling what they are doing wrong and them not changing. Better to just leave all together at this point and shop elsewhere. 2 stars for their unique curated collection, but good luck on the receiving end.
Hey me again. It figures that once I posted a bad review for Terrain that they actually started shipping my orders. I received the trowel today, still waiting for two more items. I love the garden tools Terrain carries, no one in USA makes anything of this quality. Thanks Terrain.
Had such a great experience shopping at Terrain. My retail associate was incredibly helpful and kind. I was looking for some very specific candles I had bought years ago. Though they didn't sell those anymore, she was able to help me find something similar that I actually love even more. I really appreciate the individualized attention.
Suffice it to say that the garden tools here are meant to be looked at and admired rather than used by actual gardeners. The very nice looking Portugese-artisan-made pruning shears I bought work fine when you are pruning, but the clasp is a cheap piece of tin which bent out of shape almost immediately and does not work to hold the shears closed at all. It is a real pain to have a pair of shears that is in open position at all times — in your pocket, in the bucket, slicing your finger. The hand rake is very, very pretty and works absolutely no better than a $6 hand rake from Home Depot. Buy these for decoration and hang them on the shed wall so people will think you are a gardener. But if you’re actually looking for a useful tool there are better and much cheaper alternatives,
I am very surprised reading some negative reviews since my experience with their toll free (877) customer service was a breath of fresh air. I do understand when companies have delayed shipments since so many items are backordered due to manufacturing delays (COVID staffing issues?). I had questions the store couldn't answer but was absolutely relieved to talk to Allison in customer service. She is an outstanding representative of the department's commitment to assist customers. I will update my review when I receive the items. I ordered several items and they will be shipped separately due to staggering availability dates so I hope the rest of the transaction is smooth.
I just ordered flower bulbs and a tray. They sent me an update (which is odd because they usually don't send those) that states the bulbs are coming, but that the tray will be backordered until August something. This is ridiculous, they already have my money. It is a bait and switch to offer an item that isn't available for three months.
While the item I received appeared to be of high quality, it was not, unfortunately, the item I meant to order (my fault). Trying to initiate a return or exchange was an ill-fated fiasco. Response times were quite slow, and the entire email process eventually came full circle, restarting from where we began. To preserve my sanity, I decided to forego the exchange and eat the cost of my mistake. I will, however, NEVER purchase another item from Terrain. My first two times will definitely be my last.
I see on some of these reviews they actually had a conversation with a customer service?? What is that number ?? I would love to talk to them !! They are just a scammer!!!! They play so dumb about the emails like they don’t understand English!!! They are not as dumb as they act ! They have figured out how to make money off of people. Hope all the reviews will be able to help someone else not lose hard earned money to dishonest and scamming people… don’t. DONT TAKE A CHANCE !!! Do not buy from this company- you pay but you get nothing but runaround. And nothing to show for it !! Liars
A vase arrived cracked in half, dried lavender bouquets were totally bare and falling apart, the coconut husk doormat was shedding all of its husk, and the moss wall frame looked like it was put together by a five year old. They don't refund shipping at all, so I'm out of pocket $20. And Terrain has yet to refund me for the fourth item even though it's been almost a month. Horrible customer service when I call - people don't know what they're talking about, the return label took 45+ min to create when I called up because I was at UPS. And of course everything's super overpriced. I'll never buy anything from them again.
Spent hundreds of dollars on lights and strands last winter. Finally set them all up yesterday for the holidays and two lights flat out don’t work. CS response after i sent a short,,pleasant email asking them to replace? They will do nothing as it’s outside their 30 day window. Absolutely ridiculous and utterly disappointing. In this day and age CS is EVERYTHING and with so many shopping options, they shot themselves in the foot. F- to Terrain, I won’t shop there again - even though I had more of the lights and strands for my office quite literally in my shopping cart and ready to order.
Ordered 4 pots from this company (and I spoke to a customer service rep) who assured me that they all would ship on the same date. Today, 3 arrived with no explanation. Then after I received them, I receive an email saying they've shipped one separately. And that one shipped prior but via the US mail!!! This company does not sell inexpensive merchandise so I would expect all the pots would ship via the same carrier On Trac (and we pay for the shipping too).
Spent a few thousand dollars on outdoor furniture. Was happy with all but a set of chairs as they all broke in less than 30 days without anyone really sitting in them. Though they offered a refund, they require I return the materials (which are broken). I now have to buy new packing materials for large chairs and coordinate all of this return. Whenever I try to give feedback or request some flexibility, I do not get any acknowledgment and then they process pickups I am not ready for or tell me to drop it off at a UPS. I was ready to be a regular shopper here and this customer experience is so poor I won't come back.
My item was shipped and returned to the company by the shipper…I NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM! I finally caller Terrain to see why my replacement did not arrive and was told “it’s my job to contact Terrain”. They said they’d ship a replacement. Another week and I’ve received two emails: do you want a refund and we’ll ship a replacement after you send us the product. I call again and they said the shipper hasn’t picked up the product and it should be picked up Monday. Unbelievable, what a way to do business…one more week before I cancel the order. Last time I purchased anything from Terrain.
Ordered a candle with holder. There was zero communication about shipping delays. After three weeks of not hearing anything, I cancelled the order. The company said I wasn't allowed to cancel and magically found a candle to ship within 24 hours! Item didn't look at all like picture. The candle holder is extremely cheap, with jewels in the candle holder flat out dirty or missing! I feel rather disgusted about the entire experience, especially since it will end up costing me almost $20 in shipping by the time I return it. I could have spent less at Pottery Barn or Anthropologie, with quality products and customer satisfaction guarantees.
NEVER EVER shop here!! Cancelled my backordered Mother’s Day flowers that their website guaranteed for Mother’s Day. When I called to see how they would fix this situation, what flowers they did have in stock, was advised they can’t guarantee ANY of there items would be in stock to ship!! If you actually want to get the items you purchased, don’t buy here
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered! They lied about why a shipment was delayed, blamed it on "Afterpay" and said that Afterpay had not distributed payment, then when Afterpay secured a confirmation that this wasn't the case, I get an email that it's because their shipment is delayed. I ask to just cancel the order and am told they will follow through when....nope.They just go ahead as if nothing at all was a problem. This is the second time I've had issues with them and absolutely The Last Time EVER I will deal with them. Save yourself the hassle -- shop somewhere else.
No indication that your items will be backorder until weeks after ordering. I ordered some pottery planters back in March, and didn't even get informed that it was on backorder until 3 weeks after ordering, and they promised shipment in 2 weeks, only to send me another delay of another 2 weeks at the last minute, which is now overdue by a week with no notice. The entire time, this same pot is still available for sale on their website with no indication that it isn't in stock. Really doesn't seem very trustworthy. Would not recommend this vendor.
Honestly the worst customer service ever. This is not a complaint about COVID related delays or anything like that. They accidentally sent wrong item, ok I get it that happens. So I sent it back. 3 months of emails and phone calls and they still have my money and never sent me my item or refunded me! Ever time they give a different excuse, and “it will ship within two days” . It’s been 3 months. Unbelievable!
Echoing the sentiments of most of the reviewers, there are big customer service issues as well as product quality control issues which make it difficult to justify the price on many of their offerings. The products are so unique which keeps me coming back but I have become incredibly frustrated with the purchase process. The customer service issues do not get addressed. Many times, reps have said that someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours and noone emails back. Once, I found out by calling customer service that sometimes their servers do not send return labels to gmail accounts so we had to have it sent to an outlook account. I have returned many of the products I've purchased due to quality issues. The items do not look like the website photos at all. Wreaths and dried flowers are bare, decor arrives scratched, torn, or paint carelessly splashed on. When mailing back these items, they don't refund you the shipping to mail it back, they take it off your refund amount. This is unacceptable for a product that is damaged. The refunded amount is an arbitrary number, you have to keep contacting them to request the right amount. (This issue is ongoing). I should just contact my credit card company to dispute the charge at this point. Livechat option is a travesty because it's outsourced to another country and the reps can not communicate with you in English. They use OnTrac to mail items and Ontrac is notorious for losing packages and poor customer service themselves which only makes the problem worse. I have had an internal server error on my account where I can't delete old credit cards and can't access my account information for almost a year now and I've contacted them countless times. The internal server error is an issue with the website, not with my account or on my end. After many many attempts to get this problem resolved, no-one can do anything. Tech support advises to refresh cookies when this is a website issue. No-one takes it up the ladder in tech support to address the website issue. As other reviewers have noted, you can purchase items and you find out later that the item is on backorder to months later and your credit card is put on hold for the amount over and over as the backorder date is pushed out further and further. I am still waiting on an item I ordered late August and it's been pushed out 4 times to mid-December. I understand supply chain issues are world-wide but they should not sell the product if they can't fulfill the order. Perhaps, they can email or text when the item is back in stock but this is not offered as it is by other retailers. Item was marked red with a slash through it to signify it was on sale but the price did not go down at all. Spoke to customer service who could not explain why this was. Another time, shipping charge was $30 when removing one small item from the cart brought shipping down to $10. Adding the small item back to the cart changed shipping charge to $15. This makes no sense if the shipping amount is based on weight tiers. Overall, an absolute mess to deal with. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the uniqueness of the product offerings and the eye for design that the prop stylists possess.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately.
