While some are self-explanatory concerning shopmy.us, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between shopmy.us and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of shopmy.us. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of shopmy.us, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. shopmy.us is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

Back in mid October, I was approached to join ShopMy by text message. That should of been the first flag. The goal is to give their creators views on their products. They give you tasks to complete and state if you complete 20 tasks then you get a $500 bonus. Many of the tasks are easy where you\'re given an ad to watch and you have to like that ad, take a screenshot showing that you liked the ad and send it to the project manager. The problem arise when the task involves crypto purchases. They start off small but then increase. The first crypto purchase is usually for $31 Bitcoin. The way you can get trapped is if you don\'t read the information from the manager that handles the crypto part where it states that you may have more than one order with the max being three. So if you go in thinking that you just need the amount that the task calls for, you soon will find out that you have another order which is always higher than the first. If you can\'t afford to make that other deposit then you are stuck. They will not let you withdraw until you make the next deposit. If I was smarter at the time, I should have bailed out then. However I didn\'t and fell into another trap. Most of the crypto purchases were for Bitcoin except the one on the last task that is for BTS. I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong crypto and my account was frozen. The only way to resolve was to make 2 more crypto purchases to correct my error. When I finally got it all done, I was ready to withdraw. I was told that the amount was too large to transfer the way that they did in past tasks and that I had a certain order that I was supposed to follow to withdraw. Unfortunately I messed the order up and my account was frozen. I was told that the only way to withdraw was to make another $2225 deposit. At this point, I had to admit defeat as there was no way possible to make another deposit. I had the 3 people I had been dealing with to tell me that unless I made that deposit, I would lose that money forever (a little over $4000). Although that is a good amount of money, I knew I had to give it up because I didn\'t have the other money needed to withdraw. I wanted to move past this nightmare so I informed the 3 people that I had been dealing with to only contact me if I could withdraw without spending more money on my end. I was still being pressured to complete the task that I ended up deleting my telegram app as that was the way we communicated. Two weeks later, I reinstalled the telegram app and saw this message from the finance guy: \"I haven’t seen your reply these past few days, and I want to share some good news with you. Our senior management noticed that some members couldn’t withdraw because they didn’t have enough funds to resolve certain issues. After negotiating with the company and partners, we managed to get some special approvals to release these funds. If you want to take this opportunity to withdraw, please contact me on Telegram as soon as possible\". I was delighted and told him that yes I was interested in withdrawing if I didn\'t have to spend more money. Well it turns out that instead of $2225 , I only have to spend $1000. Now I\'m upset. Told the guy that I had specifically told him and the other 2 NOT to contact me unless I could withdraw without any additional money conditions and by doing so it was cruel and bordering on harassment. Told him I was going to update my review on Trust Pilot which I did. After updating my review, I screenshot it to him. I then received this message: Do you know the consequences of spreading rumors? Fabricating and disseminating false information that seriously disrupts social order can be punished with imprisonment of up to three years, detention, or public surveillance. If serious consequences result, the sentence may be extended to three to seven years. The specific consequences depend on the content of the rumor, its spread, its social impact, and relevant legal provisions.\" My reply to that was that it isn\'t rumors if you got proof (I have screenshots of our conversations). I\'m not denying that I had made several mistakes but I don\'t understand how this practice is acceptable. This was a very pricey lesson for me that I hope I can help others to avoid.
