Absolutely joke, we have been waiting for our lift to get fixed over 3 weeks now with no update, my wife is in a medical condition and they just ignore this. Very unprofessional customer service they don't care
Very bad customer from the housing officer, she is very rude and very unprofessional, shame on you southern housing, government should have to shut down this company. They never take care of tenants.
My stopcock is broken, water pouring out, tap won't budge, gone all under the laminate flooring they fitted a couple of years ago ( obviously not fit for kitchen) spent 4hrs 30mins in a queue over 2 phone calls trying to get someone out only to cut off both times when I was 2nd in queue. Fuming is putting mildly.
Southern housing are very unhelpful over a year I been asking for help with an issue and still it's not been solved this has affected my mental health

Honestly not surprised at all the negativity regarding Southern Housing. I have lived in my property over 20 years under L&Q Housing & never had a single issue. Unfortunately L&Q moved our property over to SH & i've had nothing but problems with the rent & service charges since. They manage to mess up every payment & direct debit & now apparently I owe them more money.I despise this company & wish i could move back to L&Q. The "Customer Service" is appauling, lack of service is a joke. The thought of having to live with this company long term is really scary, i don't want them having anything to do with my home!
One star is generous, but as no stars are an option it’ll have to do! Completed a move almost three years ago, wasn’t allowed to sign tenancy for the property in the house, no pre checks for safety or structure were undertaken. The property was absolutely filthy, holes in the walls, broken windows, no door handles, broken guttering, tiles falling off the bathroom wall, holes in the stairs. I am currently sat in waiting for a ULPS engineer, should have been an all day two man appointment, of course still no show at 14:30. My neighbour seems to get a quick response, maybe they need persistent threats of legal action to do anything.
Don’t want with my deposit because after living there 10 years there some marks on the walls their surveyor told me not to worry about. These are the same walls that were covered in mould because of the leaking pipes they refused to fix. It was so bad to the point the flooring was leaking. Terrible. I spent months calling and they never fixed it and then have the nerve to withhold my money. I have pictures for evidence and will take it further.
Ongoing noise nuisance from neighbours am an oap suffering for over 3 years. They didn't do anything because the person is paying rent, subletting and not lived there for over 3 years
The worst housing association who treat tenants with utter contempt like seconds class citizens. All staff from the director down who have been around a long time on a huge salary are institutionalised. Repairs outstanding for years. No Maintenance in the years I have lived here. Should be taken over by the housing minister. They lie to cover their backs all the time. The `repairs `department not managed. Simply shocking
A truly awful company.Been waiting for an external door to be fixed for EIGHTEEN MONTHS. Leaving the property unsecured and all contents insurance invalid.Reported multiple times yet NO effort from shg to resolve the repair.No response to our complaint STILL. And STILL no repair.No care whatsoever about the service they are meant to be providing.Absolute joke.I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of ANY properties that Southern housing are involved with. This has been an ongoing stress that we can see no end to.
My experience with the call centre and speaking with Hayley Dobson was a breath of fresh air She explained what she was doing concerning getting my complaint dealt with. Very happy to be spoken to politely can't fault them 😊
I think no stars would be more appropriate but there isn't a facility for that unfortunately. Southern Housing set out a complaints procedure which they do not follow. They hold Tenants in utter contempt. They are not backwards in contacting you when they want to add additional charges onto their already exaggerated costs but when they owe you money or you want them to address a problem you have they totally ignore you.
One of the worst housing associations ever. They do not care about your well-being but only your money. I have been contacting them constantly about repairs to our kitchen and bathroom for the last 5 years. They try to prolong the complaint as long possible hoping that you would eventually give up. Recently they don’t even reply to emails and if you call them up, your passed around the department until someone suddenly “accidentally” ends the call. However, they are happy to contact you as soon as possible about rent or service charges.
DO NOT USE COMPANY. Wouldn't even give a one star, got the keys to my shared ownership, walked into the bedroom to see a massive mark on ceiling with mould and a leak, been 14 months still ongoing and my daughter caught bronchitis from the mould and southern housing are yet to do anything about it. We now sleep in the small bedroom away from it and the company think the room is safe to sleep in despite knowing what it has caused us and has not fixed it still. So many more problems on top of this aswell.

I would give zero stars but that’s not possible. Sorthern housing have to be the worse company I’ve ever had to deal with. customer services call centre isn’t fit for purpose.communication is zero stars Staff not trained not giving out correct information. Trying to get repairs completed is a joke work outstanding for months then they send bodge the builders round. They even sent a Plummer to my door at 1224am to fix my broken front door. Complete joke They have also breached confidentiality and given out my details when they have been told not to. Avoid Like the plague. I’m trying to move to get away from them. Try spending some of your massive profits on staff training

My 80yr old nan who has dementia was told her kitchen and bathroom refurbishment will take 3wks.. now on the 11th, called and emailed a number of times with no answer why they haven't finished. There reply has no reason, no communication as to what the produre only suggestion from them is to direct me away from themselves. Got ppl working in roles they are not fit enough to do. Pi$$ poor
Been with Southern for quite some time now, the customer service and repsonse over the last few years is shocking and i would never recommend anyone to this company EVER. We have had leaking roofs for months and a communal door that doesnt work, so not actually able to enter your won block unless someone else lets you in. Latest conversation we have had, they refuse to put you through to a manager and hte department we need to speak to is not taking calls. We have made complaint after complaint getting nowhere. Service charges are extortionate for the 'Service' they offer. As far as i am concernced SH want your money and nothing else. Disgusting company and disgusting service.
