Is seidoknives.com Legit?

I’m absolutely thrilled with my Japanese Master Chef Knife Set! I got it around six months ago, and I’m still blown away every time I use it. Friends and family who come over can’t stop complimenting the amazing craftsmanship. These knives are super sharp, making it so easy to cut through anything!

Customer service has been extremely helpful while deciding which knife set and combo to purchase. I have been looking tirelessly for quality chef knife sets at a decent price. This company has exceeded my expectations in my research.

I bought a Seido chef knife a few years ago, and it has been my precious best friend in the kitchen ever since. I'll never go back! I even bought my mom one for Christmas

While these are not the highest quality knives I've used, they for sure are the best knives i've used in my home kitchen. with a wide variety of full tang blades in beautiful dark wood handles, it's hard not to be impressed. I do have a small amount of trouble keeping them sharp but with the optional sharpener it's easy enough to sharpen after several uses. all in all I'm quite pleased with my purchase.

The knives are excellent, sharp and the appearance is high quality. The knife holder however, is pretty much worthless. Couldn't get the longer knives out as they live under a kitchen cabinet so the holder had to be pulled out first then extract the needed knife. I created a new wooden knife block angled at 30 degrees with an attached utensil box that looks and works as it should under the cabinet and each knife has a specific slot to live in. The original holder did give me the idea to add a wooden utensil box to my knife block. The block and box are made of Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) wood which is quite heavy and solid for this purpose.

Bought a cutting board, it warped and cracked within a month. Contacted them. Said they would send another one. Months later nothing. Had to contact again. This was not shipping delays. They never sent the first replacement. I have the emails and the tracking. After I contacted them a second time, MONTHS later, they finally resent another one. Also warped and cracked.

Bought the set of 8 Seido knives with the block. They came and they looked beautiful. I’m very particular about the knives I use in the kitchen and I am of the opinion that “if you buy cheap you buy twice”. This set was what I believe a, fair to expensive price bracket. I have looked after the knives, making sure they go nowhere near the dishwasher and they are hand washed and dried after every use. I have had these knives for 2 months now and to my surprise there appears to be rust on 2 of the knives. These are meant to be Damascus forged blades and of “premium quality” yet a set from my local supermarket would have lasted longer. So in this case… “buy expensive, buy twice” I will not be purchasing these knives again, I will simply go elsewhere. You have lost an admiring customer due to the quality of the blades

I am extremely happy with these knives. They are excellent quality. I had a recent experience with their customer service. One of the decorative pieces fell out of my fillet knife handle. I sent an email with a photo and received a quick response and a replacement knife within a few weeks.

I am absolutely in love with my 8 inch Kiritsuke knife from Seido! I’ve had my eye on the Seido for quite some time but never pulled the trigger on making a purchase. Well there was an offer I couldn’t refuse on the Shop app where I received extra money off if I used my Shop cash. I am very happy with my decision, the 8 inch kiritsuke is a beautiful yet very sharp blade. This is my first kiritsuke style blade and I’m quite impressed. The blade shape is very convenient for tap chop on all produce. The combo wood/epoxy handle is just that sweet little cherry on top. I would definitely recommend this Sedio Kiritsuke to any knife enthusiast out there! Don’t wait, buy today!

2 Silver Seido Seido Kitchen Shears ordered as GIFTS on line from Canadian Site Brampton Ont.. Shipped in paper padded bag. Bag damaged in several places by corners of boxes. Boxes damaged. Two emails to request return. Phone number in US only receives messages. Chat Line '2 minutes wait for agent' now 30 minutes. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO RETURN WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. This is surely a SCAM

I receive the Hakai Chef Cleaver Knife on Friday 4/20/2024. Trying to use the knife for simply cutting peppers, onions, carrots, etc. I found this knife to be very heavy and awkward to use for simple slicing and dicing. Due to its weight, it felt very dangerous while performing simple food prep procedures. I am going to return this product for a full refund.

Knives are very sharp as advertised, disappointing rust formation on brand on blade occurring after first few days use after care was performed after use.

I appreciate the craftsmanship and the way they conform to my hand. Cutting technology is second to none. I am not a chef, however I cut my fair share of meat and love how smooth they cut. I bought the Hanikamu VG10 Damascus Chef Knife Set as a gift for my husband. After receiving a shipping notification and arrival date, the package was delayed for over a week and appeared to be lost. Support was responsive and promised to resend the knives but the original order arrived a few days later. Once received, the set was attractive and well packaged. That's as far as anything positive goes. With MINIMAL use and hand washing, 5 of the knives have lost pieces of mosaic from the handles. As another review mentioned, THE FORGING PATTERN IS FAKE, and even the Seido logo is wearing off because the blades are so cheaply made. To be fair, I have been sent replacements for the damaged handles, but the quality is so awful buying from Seido is a complete ripoff. Don't do it!

The knives are not only beautiful but top quality. They continue to stay sharp after every use. I always wanted a top quality knife set and I have the found the perfect set. These knives are not only top notch but are at an affordable price. Highly recommend these knives.

Total joke Chinese knives shipped right from the factory in CHINA then repackaged in California shipped by a guy named Lee not shipped from Portland OR like they would like you to believe. Took almost a month verses 3-7 days free shipping. Garbage product with from a company with lots of excuses. 🤣🤣 Definitely not quality, more like Japenese STEAL. Buyer beware - just buy American like Buck and save yourself the headache.
