schoolhouse.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives schoolhouse.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 71.2. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 71.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to schoolhouse.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning schoolhouse.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between schoolhouse.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of schoolhouse.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of schoolhouse.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. schoolhouse.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether schoolhouse.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether schoolhouse.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, schoolhouse.com.

Same issue as others- I ordered an item and they won't provide me with any updates and delivery is a month late. They don't have a phone and I've sent 5 messages. The items I have received are great.... but such poor customer service.
These guys are just criminals. Ordered a chair--they kept my $1800 for 6 months, all the while saying "it's coming, it's coming". Lies. By the time I told them I wanted a refund they said they won't refund me because the chair is in transit. Do I have a chair? No. Taking it up with PayPal--let's hope they actually do right by their customers.
DO NOT BE DECEIVEDThis company has great marketing, cool collabs, and beautiful home goods, but you’ll never receive the items you ordered and customer service (if you can even get a response) will continue to tell you that they are checking with fulfillment while weeks go by and you still don’t have the items you ordered. In the end you’ll just have to dispute the charges with your credit card company. It’s a huge bummer and not worth the headache and time wasted
Everything people say about Schoolhouse is true. Buying from this company is risky, and I wish they had communicated this earlier. Even if an item is in stock, it will take 3-4 weeks to ship. If a furniture item is supposed to ship out in 3 weeks, you won't receive it for at least three months. When it finally gets delivered, it will only be part of the order, and you will not receive an email for over month. I'm going to file a claim with my bank because it's nearly impossible to get through to customer support. By the way, to communicate with this company you have to pester them on social media to get any response. But it works, so keep pestering and they will email you “taking over for my colleagues”. A true joke of a company. Never will buy from them again. SHUT THEM DOWN!!!
Poor service! I ordered two sets of sheets 10 days ago; according to the online platform my order is "processing". There is no email or phone number to contact a customer service representative, except for an online form to complete. I completed it, and received a response stating I will hear back in 2 business days. As other reviewers have said, take your money elsewhere.
I ordered $300+ more than 3 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for the entire order, items were supposed to be in stock at the moment that I place the order. I will contact my credit card provider to get my money back.
Your order won't come until months after they say it'll be ready and the quality control will be terrible. I ordered 3 of the same runners and one of them was a full inch shorter in width than the other two. In Sep 2023, I ordered these rugs for pick up and Schoohouse said they would be ready in Oct 2023. In October, they email saying the order won't be ready until November. 2 months roll around and there's no word from them. I email customer service and don't hear back until I follow up a few times. My order wasn't ready until January 2024 when they were supposed to be ready in October 2023.
Disreputable company. Bought an item from them that took over 2 months to arrive, even though they said it was in stock. Was charged nearly $20.00 for an item shipped from another country, with no invoice that looked like it should cost $2.00. Contacted customer service and they promised a full refund which never came. That was almost a month ago and I know I'll never see that money again. I bought from them because their website touted exceptional quality goods made in Portland. So no refund, but just received a catalog from them. Talk about adding insult to injury. This company is NOT trustworthy.
It’s been 48 days and counting since I bought $500 worth of hardware from Schoolhouse. So far I’ve received one $30 hook. They then proceeded to send me 2 items I never ordered. I contacted them and sent their mistake back. Keep in mind I’ve had to reach out to them consistently to find out information about my order and to fix their mistake. I’ve written more emails to these people than anyone I’ve ever known. Their response rate is about %20 of the time every week or 2.I still have absolutely no update on my order, even after returning their mistake. They will not get in contact with me and have decided to take my money hostage. It’s gotten so bad I had to create a dispute with my CC provider in hopes to recoup my losses. This business is a scam. Through and through. Do not trust them, do not buy from them.
Where is my product? I ordered a light and a rug ten days ago, and I still have no idea when I'm going to receive it. Just skip this place and order from Room & Board.
Terrible service. I placed order on Apr 19, for a whole bunch of handles for $3,360.00 on line. They charged me in full. Everything were indicated as "in stock"at the time of placing orders. Waited 2 weeks to get part of the order. Contacted them on line about missing items. Waited 1 week before getting a reply saying no stock and will need to wait till June 20. On Jun18, they told me back order items were sent. As I tracked on June 26 , the package got sent to some address which I had no clue. Contacted them right away, still no reply. I really don't know when I will get my handles. The experience with this company is extremely frustrating. This is a follow up on the handles which I ordered on Apr 19th. After lots of back and forth. All handles finally arrived on Aug 13th. So almost 4 months to complete an order.
I had purchased their Hasami Black Mug/ Matte Finish and had left a review on their website on 10/31. Here it is 11/23 and that review has not been posted on their website. They are hand picking their reviews, or just so far behind haven't gotten around to posting it yet. Could be either way, judging from my one experience with them. Here is the exact review that I had posted, "This is one *very* good looking mug, but the tactile sensation due to the rough feeling of the Matte Black finish makes it a mug that I do not want to touch or put up to my lips. I used it once, hand washed it and air dried and it spotted/streaked easily and I have soft water. Kudos to Schoolhouse for going above and beyond their stated return policy and gave me full credit for my purchase, including the used cup. I am also somewhat critical of Schoolhouse for a few things: 1) Item was sold as being 'in stock' however took quite a number of days to ship out - I ordered 9/3 and received it on 9/18 2) I sent and email on 9/18 to return the mugs, did not hear anything back until 9/26 after I sent a second email wondering what was going on. These are not particularly good turnaround times at all in my opinion. Back on the positive side, once I did hear back on 9/26 the return process and credit was very reasonably quick. "
They are ignoring my customer service emails. Complete and utter disdain for the customer.

“Absurdity - Avoid this company”

Sent an email with a simple query a month ago. As of today, I received the 4th email reply telling me they "are very busy and will get to me question soon". Um, couldn't one of those email replies have been the answer to my question? That's low key passive aggressive and just plain absurd. It's pretty apparent that under this current ownership this company should be avoided. Tip for consumers:I would have perhaps liked to have done business with this company. Their complete lack of customer service (all I needed was an answer to a question) is astounding. Service Returns

“Buyer Beware”

My wife and I purchased a pressure cooker from Schoolhouse for over $400. It lasted 10 months before the lid broke. I asked Schoolhouse to send a new lid and they said they only stand behind their products for 30 days. Crappy product and crappy service. We will never purchase from them again. BUYER BEWARE Service Value Returns Quality

“Frauds”

This company is terrible - DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. I have been waiting for two months for them to fulfill an order that was listed as "in stock". Their customer service has either lied or been non-responsive. Ultimately I had to file a dispute through my credit card to get my money back. This company is a farce. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
