Is scandinavianoutdoor.com Legit?

I ordered multiple packages to be picked up during my trek in Sweden. Customer service agents did their best to ensure my packages were delivered on the days I would be passing the pick-up locations and provided good knowledge on the Post Nord system. Communication was quick and easy when I had any questions. My trek being successful was largely dependant on their good work. Would highly recommend.

Absoulutly happy with my purchase, I'm based in UK and they clearly state what charges will be applied, and are very quick and helpfull on chat too and explained the charges before purchase, got myself a samsonite suitcase with a welcome discount, with the duty charges and postage it still ended up way cheaper then the UK costs at john lewis and samsonite itself, ao yes super happy, will recommened and shop again.

So gutted with this order. After I was hit with the unexpectedly high import fees/ taxes at my front door (£123 on top of the £371 order???), I ultimately paid almost £500 for two pairs of trousers and will be paying out of my own pocket to return them. They don't fit, and the Scandinavian Outdoor team can't even provide advice (cost of return, claiming back import tax) on the return if you ordered from outside of Finland. Had a chat with their customer services a few times and they were very responsive but quite patronising. Really wouldn't recommend ordering from here if you live in the UK - just fly to Finland and buy them as this would be cheaper. Of course the import/ duties/ tax are collected by the government, not the company, but I'd have expected at least an estimate of these fees at the checkout for transparency. Or at the very least, it'd be good for the team to be able to provide advice on how to claim the fees back.

I made a purchase from Canada. The item was shipped out the same day and I received it in only 4 days. The item shipped was a light for mountain biking that was sold out in Canada and I could not find a US distributor that shipped to Canada. The product I received was a genuine product.

Ordered a Jack Wolfskin Great Divide tent. Easy to use website, clear instructions on import tax and delivery costs, and the courier, DHL, made the process simple.The delivery from Finland to Scotland was very quick! The price was lower than anywhere else in Europe.Will use Scandinavian outdoor again.

I ordered a small backpack that had a defect, and less than a day after I requested a return, they sent me a brand-new pack free of charge. 11/10 customer service, and good prices to boot.

Wow! Super responsive and constructive customer service. If only all ecommerce businesses provided service of this high calibre. I'll be back... :-)

Made an order on thursday. I could choose between different carriers and i choose the "free of charge - as my order was above 200 euro)". there is also an option for Dhl delivery, that is faster and not free. I got my jacket on wednesday, 6 days later. Well done ! Owh and customer service is very friendly and helpfull too. Very recommended shop.

Amazing and quick service (delivery to Estonia)

They had a product from Picture Organic Clothing which I could not find anywhere else. A bit of a price reduction, no clue however what the "normal" price of the product was. I did not think it was an unreasonable price which was nice. I let them ship it internationally (still within europe) and it arrived within 5 business days which I feel is great. The product, which is a ski jacket, arrived with no damages and it was the correct color and size. I have used it for a weekend snowboarding and it works perfectly. I would definetly recommend Scandinavian Outdoor.Note: I read the reviews after I made my purchase which made me a bit nervous but it turned out to be an unnecessary worry.

Jag köpte ett par kängor som kom fort utan några problem. Det följde med information om hur man returnerar produkten vid behov. I bought a pair of shoes that came quickly without any problems. And they included a note with clear instructions on how to return the product if I had wanted to.

Monday I ordered and paid for fjallraven keb 3 dome tent, the shop immediately emailed back confirming as well as warning me of UK import fees, the tent arrived on Thursday with fantastic DHL tracking all route, very pleased.Just a shame the UK import fees are so high, the item was £590 from the shop however with extra UK customs charges worked out £850 around 43% extra, however the item is £1100 In the UK so still a good saving.

Ordered a coat that cost £150 - price quoted in pounds and apparently included postal costs. HOWEVER, ended up with a bill (from Parcel Force / UK Customs) for a 40% additional fee i.e. over £60 because of customs charges/handling fee. Whilst I accept that this is ultimately due to BREXIT, this company is not making sufficient effort to flag that it's quoted prices to UK customers do NOT reflect the real cost to the customer. When the company asked for feedback, no response when I pointed this out. Final sting is that to return the coat means a UK customer having to pay for the cost of international postage.

I ordered four pairs of Duovold base layer bottoms. Shipping was amazingly fast, and the quality was better than anything I can get in the US, compared to say Patagonia. The base layer actually came all the way to my hips.

Have bought some equipment from Scandinavian outdoor. Well, the GLS shipment was always a little bit later than announced, but I have calculated it before so no problem with that.In sum: perfect! Very fast reaction, good prices, good portfolio, love this shop! Can recommend it to everyone!!!

Awful service. Delivery sent to my house and no notification left. I found an email saying they had attempted delivery and I needed to collect from depot 20km away! No attempted red livery just someone telling me to arrange to collect myself. I paid for delivery and someone is home 90% of the time. Avoid them.

I ordered a personal flotation device (Helly-Hansen Toddler) that is not available in the US, i.e. there is no self-righting toddler PFD available at al in the US (they just let them drown?). Helly-Hansen seems to have the only model available, and I had to order it from Europe. Yes shipping was pricey, and the box was squished, however, the price was attractive, did not include taxes, and from order to goods in hand it was 7 days, and it came all the way from Turku, FI! I would buy again, noting that their attractive prices might be limited to inventory and items at hand.

Ordered a Hilleberg Akto- green tent. After completing the order, the confirmation mail said the product is not in stock and not even telling the estimated time when it will be available. Now I am trying to contact them, sent email, its been 4 working days. No response nothing. I will say a very poor customer service.

I bought 2x Thermarest Neoair Xlite - Large and 2x Thermarest Pump sacks for a total of $591 AUD (shipping and 10% GST included). Wild earth and Paddy Pallin's wanted $465 AUD each for the Xlite's only. They didn't sell the pump sacks and seeing as it was going to be $930 just for the 2 sleeping pads in Australia I knew which store I was going to shop with. I ordered on the 16/12/18 and received the goods on the 4/12/18. Could be faster delivery for the 25 Euro international shipping fee but the savings I got I can't complain. Scandinavian Outdoor. Excellent Service!!Don't support Australian retailers who are just out to rip you off!!

Gr8 service! Needed a waterproof bag for my trips and found it in Scandinavian Outdoor with friendly price but reviews were not so friendly. Despite this bought it and after two weeks got door delivery. Fantastic bag and big thanx to Laura(Customer service)!!!
