scam-detector.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives scam-detector.com a medium trust score on the platform: 61.5. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Small Risk. Standard. Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 61.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to scam-detector.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning scam-detector.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between scam-detector.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of scam-detector.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of scam-detector.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. scam-detector.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether scam-detector.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether scam-detector.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, scam-detector.com.

Online Reviews of scam-detector.com

  • Trustpilot
  • Score: 4.2
I recently had the opportunity to work with Scam Detector regarding a review of my website, and I was impressed by their responsiveness and fairness. Initially, the review seemed a bit off, which concerned me, but after I reached out, their team quickly conducted a manual review. They handled it efficiently and with great professionalism, taking the time to understand my business and ensuring the rating accurately reflected its legitimacy. The process was seamless, and their dedication to fairness stood out. If you’re looking for a platform that values accuracy and supports legitimate businesses, I highly recommend Scam Detector. Their efforts to protect consumers while being fair to businesses are commendable!
Excellent service, very cooperative when it comes to the business relations. Resolved my issue within half a day! Keep up the great work!
As a new small business, it was unfortunate when we saw our site listed as untrustworthy. I reached out to scam-detector to prove our businesses authenticity and they quickly responded. We appreciate the fact that their goal is to make the internet a safer place for consumers and also that they want to help real businesses succeed online!
Great customer service: our site review had some wrong information, we wrote to them and they responded promptly with as list of questions about our site. We answered those and they updated our site review!
firstly I searched online for a clothing website (advisedcloth.shop) website to see if they were a scam website and it was amazing the results scam-detector displayed to prove it was a scam. as a result i ended up saving £100s so thank you for that. secondly i searched up my own website (thehealthpharmacy.co.uk) just to see how this website scores it and it was very low! I then contacted this website to request that I provide proof that my website was legitimate and they instantly responded saying that they will look into it and give my website a higher score after investigating, so a big thank you to them! great work guys, keep up the good work!
How can you give 0 stars? This website is obviously illegitimate. The positive reviews are 100% fake. They removed my review from their website. The criteria that they use to create their reports, are not based on any personal experience with a particular company. They merely say that a website is illegitimate based on similar sites, and lack of information. There are legitimate security issues with leaving personal or business information on the web, but this website uses that to give a website a low rating score, then they contact the business asking for money to get this information removed. Scam-Detector investigates their own crimes, and finds themselves not guilty. Report this company to the FTC as soon as possible.
Respectful and cordial exchange with this company regarding my queries which were addressed promptly.
Great experience! After noticing our site's ranking on their platform, I reached out to clarify our legitimacy, and their response was both prompt and professional. Their customer service team was not only helpful but also genuinely committed to ensuring accuracy and fairness. As someone who values online safety, I admire their dedication to keeping the internet a safer place for everyone. The fact that they took the time to review and update our rating speaks volumes about their integrity and commitment to transparency. Highly recommend this site to anyone seeking reliable information and excellent support!
Scam detector is a terrific service, helping us to stay safe by weeding out the dangerous sites. Selma provided excellent guidance to help me understand this new space particularly about my own site. I’m very grateful for the help.
There are actual people running this website, and they are willing to listen to you if you are an actual website/business owner and not a scammer. They quickly adjusted the score once we provided proof of our website and business legitimacy. This makes me feel good that the score they have is not some random bot scoring assignment.
I inadvertently found out that Trust Pilot had my site rated as suspicious. Admittedly, I am not a pro website builder, so my old website was, no doubt, less than optimal. My new site, same domain- mkhurder.photo is built by Wordpress and is far superior to the original efforts I made.I expressed this concern to Trust Pilot and they agreed to review their determination. Fair play is everything tome, so regardless of their finding on my new websile, I appreciate the fact they were willing to give me another look. This is good business. Thank you, Trust Pilot.Regards,Mike (Popi) Hurder
Scam-detector.com. Not sure if their algorithm works. All my small business sites are flagged for no reason. And the reasoning provided on the site does not make a sense. I have checked my sites as well as some other reputable sites in some of the other scam detectors service providers and all of them turned out to give positive reviews. We did lose a sale that we worked for a month because of this stupid nonsense analysis based on data that does not make any sense. The explanation provided is very vague and not logical at all. It also looks like they have whitelisted several popular websites. I would give negative stars to this service.
The incoherent pretexts like: your site is young; the traffic on your site is low, what else? induce defamation.Do not tarnish people's reputations to make money with your false and senseless reports. Here is what Google says about scam-detector :Google looked for a description of Scam Detector on a reference site, but couldn't find a good match.Does this mean that Google calls them scammers? Google is a deontological company. Otherwise it would have saved scam-detector is scam. Google is far better reliable. Imagine it's report impact on your website.Scam-detector wesite is not legit . It's a scam.Scam-detector must correct its robot report on us immediately.
Imagine my surprise when as the owner of a site they had list as not trust worthy. I reach out to them to explain I thought they made a mistake. They explored my site further and promptly changed my rating to 100. I am extremely satisfied with Scam Detector.
We've contacted them since we discovered that our well-known, established, and yearlong website was ranked very low scores. They immediately replied and after providing them with some detailed data they ranked our page as trustworthy and not a scam. If every page owner has to put so much effort into the qualification then the pages they ultimately decide to rank average or even high must have a very low possibility of scam.
Very good scam detection website. They have managed to recognize many scams online before I made a purchase and they even reviewed my website to help determine other prospective customers determine if it were to be legit or not
A trustful website to to check if a website is a scam or not. I highly recommend it. Easy to communicate with their support
A scam company that wants money for a review and refuse to give a opportunity to a business to defend itself. Noway to contact them for a comment.
Scam Detector's support has been oustanding. They are a great team, dedicated to ensuring accurate results and reviews.
I came across their website and noticed my website had a low rating, so I contacted them and provided proof of my ownership, and they fixed the rating straight away. So, I am quite happy with their response time and swift action following my request.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

How To Protect Your Online Browsing From Installing Malware

We have two more powerful fraud prevention tools that you should know about. We've been asked over and over again about the most effective ways to stay safe online. After testing several fraud prevention products online, we could certainly say the winner is a browser extension called Guardio. It automatically blocks 100x more harmful websites than competitors and 10x more malicious downloads than any other security tool. It was tested and vetted by our Scam Detector team.

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

I'm a little suspicious about this scam detector website. There's ads everywhere with sketchy click bait. Sara here says she got scammed on here or that's what I gather from translation. Waiting to hear back from her....

  2. Scamdetector Selfdetects

Can't be trusted. Their AI miscategorizes companies, and then marks down their trust ratings based on their miscategorizations. They are really leaving themselves open to lawsuits.

I'm a little suspicious of this scam detector website. It can be helpful somewhat but even the ads on here are sketchy. And Sara here says she got scammed by someone on here. At least that's what I gather from translation. Waiting to hear back from her....

You\'ve got it wrong David. It\'s far from being a scam. He\'s given the Validator away for free for anyone to use. The ads hopefully pay the bills and then some. Scammers don\'t have numbers like these. scam-detector.com DA54 PA51 TB4K QB3K PQ71% MT5 SS1% OS65% AGE13Y, 171D

you\'re a biased website, you created this website this year 2024, of course you\'ll score 100/100 because this is your website. Bad mouthing other agencies is not a good idea! just to prove your legitimacy, and I don\'t think you\'re legit and trustworthy at all.
