santanderbank.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives santanderbank.com the absolute highest trust score on the platform: 100. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Safe. Secure. . We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this very high score? We came up with the 100 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to santanderbank.com's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Safe. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we label this website as secure and trustworthy. We explain this in more detail below.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning santanderbank.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between santanderbank.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of santanderbank.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of santanderbank.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. santanderbank.com is a secure website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether santanderbank.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether santanderbank.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, santanderbank.com.

The mobile app is so antiquated it won't allow Print of the current days info from my checking account. No snapshot, no download. The account will be in purgatory until Mid-August. I need Julys current balance *immediately* to ReCertify my Health insurance. The ins Co wants 8 weeks of CURRENT balances of checking account. Via snail mail, ReCert documents must be received by Ins Co. before 8/17/2024. Nope, no calling..I don't have the spare hours of talking to bots as I attempt to reach tech support. being passed around multiple times to incorrect departments- are unable to assist. I don't use the Santander account for anything important. Not after santander paid my HOA $1000s for back"Property Taxes"which was preposterous- I pay my taxes directky to the City. The bank performed zero due Diligence about the charges, not a single courtesy phone call was placed to me. They provided 3, complete strangers a check for the full amount the HOA was stealing from me.The Bank next opened up an adfitional Loan Account, under my name, at 18% Int.to repay the bank $ they never should have provided in the first place. I was waiting for a Court Date to fight the illicit HOA charges, when the Country entered Lockdown. By paying the HOA I lost my chance to fight them in Court. Next, Santander cut all access to my HELOC. I had no money beyond Soc Sec. from 4/1/2020- 4/30/2021. I'm not surprised that the mobile app is antiquated. Santander Bank US is antiquated.
De website is al meer dan een week uit de lucht. Wat gebeurt hier in vredesnaam!!!???
Would love to give more than a two star, but recently they’ve changed the app to a new operating system that does not work. Constantly have to turn my phone off and switch it back on for it to work! Why would you change something that works really well to give your App a facelift and completely break it?All this advertising on TV yet you can’t produce an app that works???If you don’t sort this problem out soon, I will leave like so many other people! You crazy if you don’t fix this within the next week , you’ll be losing thousands of customers. I don’t believe I’m the only person suffering. So right this minute I’m writing this, Afterwards, I’m going to have to switch my phone off to switch it back on To get your app to work. It’s like going back to the dark ages, As computering has evolved so quickly!Fix your app, Santander wake up if no one is complaining, why are you losing so many customers?
One word: Emily. Genuinely the most helpful and sympathetic wonderful person i have ever had the pleasure of encountering in customer service. I was stressed about my finances and she talked me through everything and fixed my problem in like 3 minutes flat. Friendly and wonderful!!! Emily if ur reading this, Sophia says thank you !!!!!
Tried to add my wife to my credit card - a simple process with my other (non) Santander credit card. Rang the helpline and was told to do 2 very different things - couldnt be done automatically. Made a complaint - the person dealing rang when was I unavailable and then closed the complaint even though I had said when I was free. Kept on hold for ages - which gave me enough time to open a credit card with a different bank! Santander's poor reputation was upheld by my experiences
Their customer service is shameful at best. I was hung up on when asked to speak with a manager. I called back and got a nasty woman who says she’s been there for 20 years but didn’t know a damn thing. I’ve been with this bank for decades and after this, I’m out! Do not bank with these people..and if you already do, good luck when you have an urgent problem which was their fault! They tried to blame it on the business I was trying to use my card at but it happened everywhere I tried to use it!
This bank is an absolute scam and a disgrace. Completed all process of account opening, recieved debit card, pins and had to call customer care to set up the app. After all these and they submitted my switch account mandate and transferred my direct debit to new account. Tried a few transfer to new account, got declined. Called customer care and after a long wait, this guy tells me "you cant have an account with us. Reason "its a business decision". Worst and pathetic experience one could have.
DO NOT bank with Santander. I have a business account with them and their customer service is truly appalling. They have no regard for their customers and as a freelance a recent issue will cost me over £200 in time and stress. Despite it causing more stress, I will move banks as soon as I can. I do not feel this bank considers their customers interests.
I’M SHOCKED!!! Been with Santander a number of years without issue. Today I’ve been forced to accept their new app. HOW BAD THIS IS!!! I can’t make any payments from it because the payment option isn’t showing. The reality is I can’t make my monthly payments despite the money being in the account meaning I’m now going to be late in paying and risk late payment charges purely through the fault of Santander!!!! After all these years we’re now going to be looking at changing banks. I’m shocked and in disbelief how much stress Santander has caused us because they’ve rushed an app into live when clearly it’s not fit for purpose! ONE EXTREMELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!!
You took advantage of an identity theft and took a sixty eight dollar late fee. I sent you that check ten days ago. However I continue to receive distasteful letters from Santander. When I call you you say it hasn't been posted. Why? The rep is some difficulty commanding the English language. Communication problems,no imagination or problem solving skills. U
OK interest rates but very poor online apps, flaky, unreliable and inconsistent between devices.Customer service wait times astronomically long.If this is how they treat new customers what are they like when they think you're locked in?Like the security level.Seriously a bank that still need telling when the cards are going to be used abroad. If you do, let us at least put in several ranges of dates for several countries. Will switch else where as soon as current enticement offers end.
it is a pity a name such as Santander offers a bank and user experience with such a low level. The recovery password does not work. The overall UX is light years away from most of the other banks, even the old ones. To be redone completely. Attractive interest but not a great feeling of trust frankly
KYC review is absolutely ridiculous. They have NO IDEA at all what they are doing. From what i understand they have employed a third party to conduct reviews for ID, etc by the regulator. Whoever is doing this is absolutely incompetent. they keep blocking my accounts yet then confirming they have done their reviews and all's fine to then come back and do the same again. this is the 4th time I've had blocked and it's ridiculous!
Disgusting is the only word to describe the customer service.I have never been treated worse nor told to wait 10 days for a call back about urgent issues.
Very annoyed with springing the new security on the phone app. No notice given, I thought my phone had been hacked until I called their fraud department who told me it wasn’t a scam! The app wouldn’t accept my passport details after wasting an hour trying to get the app to read the chip on it. I had to get my wife to take my photo because you can’t flip the camera, absolutely ridiculous. I might even close my account and bank with another bank!
Absolutely the worst customer service known to man. I absolutely can't wait to switch bank accounts.I genuinely dread ringing up this bank up because they're so useless on the phone and everywhere else on the internet. They make me regret banking with them everytime I have a small issue because I know I'm going to have to ring them up and eventually end up in tears because of how awful their customer service is. This bank absolutely hates you and it's customers. I put it off for ages because this company makes phone calls a NIGHTMARE.Needed to get my phone number changed because I can't get into my online banking app. Spent 40 minutes on the phone and was declined the change because I failed a 'security question' which asked for my 'most recent transaction'. I answered the question but because transactions take 3 days to process so of course all the transactions I named are 'incorrect'. How the hell am I supposed to know what my most recent transaction is if I can't get into my online bank account to see what's processed then? Wasn't offered a different security question. Wasn't offered an alternative. Just turned away and told 'too bad'. I couldn't answer a security question that was basically a gamble. So stupid. I really don't want to have to travel 40 minutes to my nearest branch just to get my phone number changed. But when I do I can't wait to change over from Santander to a new bank provider immediately. I am so so sick of this branch.
I've been with this bank for over 20 years without too many hassles, until recently that is. In the past 6 months I had 2 alarming issues that happened, now in which there is no looking back. In attempting to open a savings account a few months ago, I transferred $1200 from checking into savings. The next day that money disappeared. It wasn't in checking or savings. I called the bank and got a "Well, I've never seen that before! I'll have to transfer you to our customer service line." I was told that I spent the money and that's why it wasn't there. When I profusely argued that that was NOT the case, and proved this through the transfer history, he put me on hold. Upon return he told me, for some reason, the transfer was being treated as an outside transfer and the money is currently in a cloud somewhere but should return in 5-7 business days. I'm in customer service myself and I know things happen, right? So long as the money comes back, all will be well. It did come back after 6 day. All was forgiven but not forgotten. Then just recently a new debit card was issued because mine was about to expire next month. Problem is, they turned off my debit card without warning before I even received the new one. So, once again, I'm calling customer service to find out why, why, why did they shut down my card when I have yet to get the new one?? First guy told me that it was completely normal and standard practice to do this. When I called back, next guy told me that I activated my new cc which is why they turned off my old one. How in the world can I activate a new card without having it in front of me? Don't I need the 3 digit code on the back and the new expiration to do that? Once again, I'm being told it's my fault when I know that it wasn't. Every time I called, I got someone different with a different answer. So right now, the only way I can get money out is if I physically go to the bank or use another credit card, which I'll have to pay interest on. Frustrating as anything I've ever experienced. Time to change institutions!!
I had a superb experience in Santander, High Street Kensington on Friday 7th June, approx 2pm. I’d only queued up after the ATM rejected the cheques I intended to deposit. The young male cashier (brown short hair) sorted out several account blunders of mine I.e. a more suitable savings account and set it up voluntarily, something I had overlooked. He was articulate, super helpful and knew his job. Well done & thank you.
Online customer support is atrocious. I was put on hold and disconnected 3 times. Their online banking will allow you to add accounts to transfer funds in but when you try to add an account to transfer funds out it will give error messages. The online reps are useless and disconnect you but do not call you back. I'm getting the hell away from this disastrous bank. There is definitely something very strange going on there lately and I can see the writing on the wall that it's only going to get worse.
Got up this morning to my account being blocked. Called up, got no valid reason. Can’t travel to work, got a new born baby at home and can’t access my money. And these mothefuckers are telling me about this banking legislation. This is disgusting.worst ever!!!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a
fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
