sainsburys.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives sainsburys.co.uk one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 82.5. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Reliable. Legitimate. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 82.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to sainsburys.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Reliable. Legitimate. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a reliable and secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning sainsburys.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between sainsburys.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of sainsburys.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of sainsburys.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. sainsburys.co.uk is an innocuous website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether sainsburys.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether sainsburys.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, sainsburys.co.uk.

SAINSBURYS GIVE FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. I order regularly from sainsburys. The delivery guys are so pleasant and helpful. They always go that extra mile. I had a leaky milk last week and it hadn't leaked much - but the helpful driver refunded me and let me keep it. I have ordered from both Asda & Morrisons and they are nowhere near as good as sainsburys. THANKYOU SAINSBURYS FOR MAKING MY LIFE THAT BIT EASIER 😁😁😁
Wide variety of good quality fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. Items that are on offer with a Nectar card or match priced are usually good value. Some items that are not on offer or price matched can be expensive. Helpful staff who are always polite and pleasant. Store is always clean and shelves are well stocked.
Well yes I've tried other supermarkets and they're okay but Sainsbury's just seem to have the edge, from it's car parks to the design/layout of the store. You can say price at times is cheaper elsewhere but Sainsbury's again are competitive.......Sainsbury's are like an old friend you can always fall back on
I order online delivery for 2 households most weeks. The order does not come from our local Sainsbury's and often items that are available in our local store are unavailable online - therefore defeating the object of delivery really. Also, often the fresh produce picked, such as fruit and veg are of poor quality - in particular bananas, which have needed to be returned on more than one occasion.l
At Sainsbury Exeter it's a shambles: not enough staff, dirty unfilled freezers, empty shelves, milk curdling while still a week in date, 3 rotten apples from 6 while still in date, overripe avocados and so on. Too few staff, poor stock rotation, low quality hygiene. That's it for me. Finito.
Check your receipt. This issue of incorrect pricing seems to be getting more common for Sainsburys in my experience. Purchased only five items and two advertised with nectar savings were still at full price when paid for. My question is how many do not check and trust in the system. This could lead to vast amounts of extra profits for Sainsburys. Also called customer services and that was a terrible experience with a automated system that’s seriously needs an overall as well as a very unfriendly and rather rude advisor just to add insult to injury.
Big supermarket, everything available. Well lighted, well laid out, clean, and no rubbish in aisles. Some staff are friendly some not. some are helpful some not. Nice parking usually spaces available. Checkout easy and no long waits. Excellent products. Nectar offers nice but not always inexpensive,.Biggest problem : Very expensive. Prices are being rocketed. becoming unaffordable now.next negativity...they closed the fresh fish counter which has been disastrous. It had one of the best fish counters. Guess they put profits before service !
I’ve been doing an online shop with Sainsburys for many years now and get a delivery every week when at home. It’s easy to use their website plus their prices are very competitive. If there’s something you’re not happy with you just give it back to the driver for a refund and the delivery drivers are very helpful. Perfect choice for an OAP.
Absolute joke! Went to amend my order due tomorrow (Wed 21st Aug) only to find the website was closed for what they were telling everybody was 'planned maintenance'. Trouble is they forgot to tell their customers about this planned maintenance which is why the phonelines were busy and you could'nt get through to them!! Then, 5 minutes after the 11pm deadline for amending orders the website miraculously came back up!! My delivery when it arrives tomorrow will be refused as it does not match what my requirements would have been had I had the opportunity to amend the order. This lot could not organise a lash up in a brewery and it's about time they stopped treating their customers like fools. Tesco's here I come!
When I visit Sainsbury's I shop in two ways. First I collect my order placed through Click and Collect, (I really don't need to pick my own packet of Cornflakes) and then I go into the shop to choose my steak, fruit and vegetables and other items I want to pick myself.I also like to browse the clothes! There is usually plenty of choice so Sainsbury's is my go to supermarket
Online shop. The fruit and veg are always poor. Bananas so green after a few days were impossible to peel. The nectarines were like apples. The strawberries completely hard. The lettuce sour. The melon was lovely but unfortunately the packers had put it on top of my rolls and bag of watercress. Both squashed. I expect better than this. I have been disappointed with four deliveries so going back to Lidl because their fruit and veg are much much better.
After coming from Italy I was astounded how bad the quality of food was on show (veges/fruits mainly), I used Sainsbury's Kingston upon Thames superstore today. I noticed huge changes, dirty floors, large advertising sign with chocolate stains, store looked very old and shabby. Shortage of fruits and vegetables and extremely bad quality. Workers putting food on shelves with not much care and in the way of customers (maybe difficult for staff but still!). Quality of food packaged and fresh gone down hill big time. I remember when Sainsburys was family owned and was a clean, nice supermarket. Now I see very expensive overpriced food and terrible quality. Ok, coming from Italy you can't compare, everyone knows this, but jes that was shocking. Check out lady was very polite and nice only plus. Friend said every store is the same. Is this Brexit or what is it?
Just started Sainsbury’s Clik & Collect. So impressed with how customer friendly the website is. My fresh products are always lovely & the whole procedure is so easy. For 50p it’s a wonderful service. Well done Sainsbury’s
Click and collect service has declined, there was a 15 minute delay receiving the shopping after arriving, as always there were items which were not available however there were also items with short dates which I had not been advised of. The van pick up that was replaced by an intercom system worked better as the staff have a long distance to bring the shopping which creates a long delay. I’ve changed from cnc to home delivery because it doesn’t work properly, unfortunately I had use cnc this week but won’t choose to do so again. Sainsbury’s need to review this for the talbot heath store
Very easy to put in order. I unticked substitute boxes so knew what I was getting. Choose day and time slot. Very easy to pick up goods in car park. Never set foot in supermarket. Excellent experience all round.
As is usual, order arrived on time, 100% complete. Quality was absolutely as expected. I had notification earlier that two of the fruit items were short coded, the driver offered to take back and credit, this was not necessary as they were for immediate consumption. All of Sainsbury's' delivery drivers are excellent ambassadors and this one was no different. There were a couple of new wines on the website, we tried them and were very impressed.i see no reason why we would shop online anywhere else but Sainsbury's.
I get a weekly delivery from Sainsbury. On most occasions the food is of excellent quality and arrives in good condition. However there are times when the packer has put delicate items such as bread and cakes underneath heavier items Most of the delivery drivers are excellent and refund damaged goods. Occasionally the drivers are busy scrolling on their phones and don't offer to help. Overall I am happy with the service and will continue to use Sainsbury's.
I find Sainsbury's online order service easy to use (and I'm ancient). I usually order a few days before delivery so often have to add items I've forgotten. I find the process of amending orders good too. My only displeasure is with some of the fresh goods, some of which should never have been considered by the "pickers". The worst was a supposed cauliflower which was the size of a brussel sprout, at the bottom of the crate and totally brown. The delivery man was embarrassed.
Love sainsburys for value especially if you have a nectar card. The quality & choice is great in the bigger stores. They have different products that other stores don't offer. The clothing range is very good and stylish and lasts
Sainsbury's is my go-to supermarket for almost all of our shopping and clothing for grandchildren. We find the prices are really good, and the quality is excellent for our fresh fruit and veg. However, we have tried the minced beef in the 'new' vacuum pack and are not keen, so we go to our local butcher for that. Everything else we get from Sainsbury's each week

“Items missing from order. No refund”

Several items, for which I was charged missing from my order. Impossible to process refund on line. On attempting to call I was eventually put through to an Indian call centre and then told to reing bacl in 2 hours.Emailed complaint receved no response. Avoid these cynical thieves like the plague Service Returns

“Rubbish beefburgers!”

Purchased 'taste the difference beef burgers' which were flavourless and full of gristle. This adds to my consternation about Sainsburys in general. I can only go on the local store in Clitheroe which has empty shelves and indifferent staff with the exception of one hard working and committed gentleman. We have 5 supermarkets & this is by far the worse. No wonder many of us are now gravitating to Booths!

“Would have given less than 1 star.”

Used their stock checker and it turned out to be untrue. Phoned customer care, complaints dept and a few other numbers and got nowhere. Also filled in 4 or 5 surveys for after calls and heard nothing. Have been treat dismally as no one has dealt with the problem or offered any kind of satisfactory outcome. “Why will buy dead plants, flowers?”

The poor care of plants and potted flowers is hard to watch and I don't understand how this corporation expects customer to pay full prace fir dead or dying plants. Please consider paying more attention to this aspect a reduce the price accordingly so that they don't end up being wasted in the skip. Plants can talk, but they are living things. If a company can't look after them, they should not be selling them.

“Fraud and they just don't care...”

Probably the worst customer service I have ever had. This company including the CEO Simon Roberts could not care less about 2 88 year olds being defrauded on Sainsbury's premises. I was told "what do you want us to do about it" and "it's nothing to do with us". How shameful that they think it doesn't matter when the vulnerable are scammed in a Sainsbury's store. Now they are so arrogant that they refuse to reply to me - utterly disgraceful! Service

“Completely disgusted with Sainsbury's customers service team”

Completely disgusted with Sainsbury's customers support team I have been a loyal customer of Sainsbury's and Argos for many years now, spending more than £7 thousand each year at their shops and petrol stations. I do all my weekly and fuel shops with them and regularly shop during the week too for up to 4-5 times per week. I was completely disappointed today with their customer support team as they wouldn't help me cancel an unfair parking charge for £60 at one of their car parks! My family and I will never again spend a penny in their shops and petrol stations! It's not about the £60 penalty but their complete disregard of regular customers loyalty! Better avoid! “Awful experience”

My online order was never delivered. They never reached out. When I called, they finally admitting that the order was never delivered and they would issue the refund within 5 to 10 working days. The refund never arrived, so I called again. After several phone calls where they hung up on me or put on hold for hours, I managed to open a second case, once again they told me the store manager would contact me to apologise and confirm the refund, it never happened. I disputed the transaction with my bank and the supermarket rejected my query saying that the order was delivered. I am currently on hold, over 65 minutes waiting to be transferred to the complaint department. Really poor customer service, trying to get money for orders that have never been delivered. I am shocked. Tip for consumers:Do not order online with Sainsbury’s Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Unhelpful'help centre' and abused disable woman”

"I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to share my recent experience. I ordered garlic online, but what arrived was mouldy and inedible, consisting of only dry layers, which left me utterly disappointed. What truly troubles me isn't the nominal cost, but the way I, a disabled woman, was treated during my attempt to voice my concern. The response was far from compassionate. I don't seek a mere refund; my real need is the garlic itself. I've planned for tomorrow, when my caregiver will prepare meals that will sustain me for a week. As a housebound individual, I rely on deliveries for essentials like this, and I can't make a trip to buy garlic. To make matters worse, the person I spoke to on the phone when I tried to explain my situation was shockingly rude and refused to provide their name. This treatment is deeply hurtful, especially considering my circumstances. I kindly request your understanding and assistance in not just refunding my money, but in ensuring I receive the garlic I need for tomorrow. Your empathy in resolving this matter would mean the world to me, as I face the challenge of being disabled and housebound. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns." “Awful service, rude staff, disgraceful produce section.”

A chicken I bought for Christam had gone off, it actually looked like it had been repacked. The produce section was full of gone off vegetables, and at the self check out I realised the I had been charged full price for 2 boxes of chocolates which were supposed to be reduced. No apology whatsoever, they actually acted as if it was my fault, they changed the price in the end. They are only interested in profit, the customer service we use to receive no longer exists. I had one woman following me around, she told me she was making sure I payed for the plastic bags. West wickham, Kent High Street is a supermarket I will stay away from, from now on.

“I could give Zero if i could”

I would give zero if i could. Customer service nasty and not helpful, in other word they just don't give damn for anything. You order home delivery and getting nothing of what you ordered, you order click and collect and still getting nothing, and you will get email only on the day of collection when you made plans and dedicated time for this. Don't see point of pre-orders if you are not getting anything and idea that they collect it from the shelf on the day of collection. Well i can do shopping then myself or ask friends or family, why should i pay for that? Absolutely horrible service. They are just pice of joke and to be honest they are not so cheap either Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Cake order”

I ordered and paid for cup cakes for my granddaughters 2nd birthday we arranged a time to pick up, I received an email saying your cakes are ready to pick up.well the staff in shop was very embarrassed to say tge order was not there. We we were having the party that morning and could get last minute replacements. I rang customer service their people skills are terrible I could hear a dog barking in the back round trying to have a conversation and she was not one bit sympathetic. Oh my goodness I was outraged, so Sainsbury's you are an utter disgrace and need to stop doing food, flowers because your total pants at delivering goods, And I want my money back I've had no refund yet get it sorted you were fast enough to take it PS I only give 1star should of had piles of you would of got 20+ of those Tip for consumers:Yea Sainsbury’s food order is the worst ever customer care stinks Products used:None

“Spurious Woke/health agendas compromising the quality of Sainsbury's food”

Sainsbury's recent excessive pandering to "plant based" diets is just the tip of the iceberg with their idiotic policies. My bugbear is why they decided to try to make all the meat "fat free" - trying to buy a decent steak that has not been excessively trimmed is a challenge. They already utterly destroyed their hot rotisserie counter by serving previously delicious ham hock devoid of all its wonderful fat, crisped on the outside - the principal pleasure of this delicacy. After trying to sell vandalized fat free hocks, that looked like little trussed rats, they gave up all together. Why, why, why, must they meddle with good food? It reeks of some idiotic executive decision to pander to all the worst nonsense of spurious health agendas and self-congratulatory "Wokeness". Please can they get back to selling good, honest, untampered with food?

“Damage to property”

Extremely disappointing exchange with your CEO office. Rude, dismissive and accountable to no one. You drove into my property, tried to cover it up, left it unsafe and only acknowledged fault when spotted by a member of the public. Now not interested in resolving. “Outstanding service by Jon at collect.”

I have been ordering my weekly shop using click and collect at Rayleigh weir very early on Saturday mornings. The two gentleman that work there deserve a mention. Especially a gentleman called Jon who is full of happiness and so helpful. He is great with people and goes above and beyond to make everyone smile while also very efficient. He remembers customers names and makes us feel special. Great job Pauline Nash

“Dreadful”

This company does not understand the meaning of Customer Service. It is the worst of any supermarket. Poor quality produce and products and misleading information when one can eventually find a phone number to call. How did CEO land his job? He clearly does not shop at Sainsbury!

“Never shop from Sainsbury's online they are not reliable at all”

Sainsbury's are not reliable with online shopping they deliver damaged items and when you phone to complain or report the issue as their terms and conditions advice the terminate your account with no reason at all. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Happy to rip off a dead customer!”

Ripping off a dead bloke! Poor show Sainsburys! My 94 year old father in law died of cancer on Tuesday. Sainsburys had happily cancelled his delivery pass bought at the end of November 2021, when contacted on 11 March after he'd been moved to care. They said they'd issue a refund for the unused portion, in line with their guarantee that no delivery pass customer will lose out if they don't realise the full value of their annual pass. Now, and having not issued any refund, they categorically refuse to issue a refund OR to reinstate the pass (so we can either use it ourselves or so it runs to the end of its term and they have to refund the unused charge. Incredibly callous customer 'service' - and all so they can screw his estate out of around 40 quid. If they're that hard up then they're in serious danger of bankruptcy. Truly the pits of the UK grocery industry. (We and the rest of our family moving to Ocado on basis of their attitude and this experience. Service Value

“Cancelled order then blocked account”

Ordered sainsburys order yesterday. An hour before delivery tried to log into my account to see where delivery was and it said i entered the wrong password too many times. Then got an email saying my order was cancelled. After a short and abrupt phone call was told my order was not coming because my account is under investigation. I payed using my card in my name to my address what fraud can i be committing? No shopping= going somewhere else from now on! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Ordered an item in november 2011 which yodel claimed...”

Ordered an item in november 2011 which yodel claimed they tried to deliver twice but no card left. Then it was delivered for a third time, to a neighbor i don'; t even know. I never got the item and sainsbury's refused to refund. I contacted them 10 times before i gave up. Never order from them,

“Appalling customer service - they will make you chase and chase money owed to you”

Ordered several Tu items of footwear for my three-year old through Argos click and collect at Sainsbury. I had to return a few of these back to Argos via the same store. My refund never arrived. I had to spend close to one hour on the live chat to attempt to get back the money rightfully owed to me. And even then when the refund eventually came through it was short of £12. I then had to attempt live chat again, which because of the appalling system just kept getting rejected. I persisted and one hour later I have been told I will get my owing £12 – time is to tell on that. At no point was there an apology for the inconvenience. If you don't mind wasting hours of your life trying to claim back refunds, then go ahead and shop with this store. I certainly won't shop with them again Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Self checkout”

Whilst passing through 4 members of staff milling around to join the lengthy queue for self checkout... at this moment in time i should point out that i would rather deal with a person... i looked for carrier bags of which i required 2... how easy would it be to have bags available hand as opposed to being passed out by a member of staff who is dealing with 6 machines half of which are screaming please seek assistance repeatedly! I am sure the other bemused customers the same as myself would much rather deal with a human being as opposed to screaming machines and a obviously stressed member of staff who is trying to do the work of 6! Sort it out sainsburys!

“Dont they care any more?”

I went to Hedge End Sainsburys. Granted they are moving the store around, but surely this shouldn't affect the freshness of their fruits and vegetables? Most of the vegetables looked very close to their use by date. I stood by the banana section whilst a guy was replacing the bananas. I waited for a minute and a half before I asked if he could move his trolley so I could select some bananas - he did this most ungraciously and left me only a small gap to squeeze through. Wonderful service, thanks. All this is not conducive to shopping there again.

“Taste the Difference”

Last week I was in sainsbury's and fancied shepherd's pie, so I bought a taste the difference pie, it was different... big carton, half full of mashed potato, gravy, carrots, NO Meat, just slop, That will teach me, not to buy ready meals and make my own shepherds pie like I usually do.

“Diced beef awful - all gristle”

Beef we bought a week ago looked OK on the surface but when it was cooked it produced a gristly stew which we found inedible

“With this review, i'm not talking groceries as i've...”

With this review, i'm not talking groceries as i've never had them on-line from here. I ordered some curtains which were in the sale at a great price. Delivery was fast and as we spent over £50 we got free delivery. The only issue i have is that you can get delivery to your local store if they are part of the Click and Collect service however, despite having 3 big shops near me, none of them were part of it. So when it came to returning a couple of items, i had to take them to a post office Which just happened to be right opposite a big Sainsburys! Apart from that the curtains were well made and a great price.

If you own sainsburys.co.uk, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.

Please send the following via email to [email protected].
