Is safesteptub.com Legit?

Our tub broke on the first use this past Saturday. I called and was told I would get a return call later that day, it never happened. On Monday I went to there website and the chat told me to send an email. The email reply came the next day giving me a phone number to call for the service department. They said they would put in a ticket ( this is the second ticket). And they would contact the installers. It is close to the end of the business day 5 days after it broke and still no live response from safestep. I guess they don’t understand customer service or they don’t care since they have my money. I am starting to wonder about the lifetime warranty. It won’t be long until I complain to the bbb and consumer affairs board.

My mom recently had SafeStep out to the house for a consultation. She gave them a deposit and was assured she had 3 days to change her mind (as per law). The very next day she contacted them and sent in writing to them a cancellation request and asked for her money back. Angie, the project manager told them that their check was in the mail, but nothing has been received. After numerous attempts via phone, writing and text and after they advised her that her deposit would be returned nothing has happened. They have not returned her deposit and refuse to return phone calls. Buyer beware!

The tub was installed professionally but very little time was spent on how to operate the tub and no time was spent on how to operate the shower.Safestep reacted to this review and Seth came to my house and did an excellent job explaining how to operate the tub. As well after my first use the tub is intuitively easy to operate.

Great job completed in one day. Done neatly and efficiently. Though price quoted is way over the top but you only realize this when you see the inputs that go in. Its too late by then. UWill have buyers remorse. So check out other suppliers and make a counter offer Their markups are 300% plus if you estimate the material and labor involved.

The salesman said they have their own installers. A general contractor showed up. He broke a shelf in my mother's bathroom. Told me it broke from static electricity. Really?? At least be honest. Accidents happen.They Misrepresent their services.

I own one. Replaced a jacuzzi tub that I could no longer get into nor out of. I'm 83. First, there is the cost of the safe step itself; but added to that is the cost of replacing (if that's what you're doing.) and/or installing. All costs to us amounted to $25,000. I hate it! Let me tell you what the truth is about using it. First, you'll notice from the photo that the door is sort of narrow and opens to the right and inside. Then you have to step around it to close it. A portly person would have a problem. Then, you sit down and wait and wait, naked and cold, until the water level reaches above the jets in the back. Oh, and be sure the door is not only closed, but locked. I flooded the bathroom twice before I remembered that. Guess I'm a slow learner. Finally, you're sitting in a tub of nice, warm water. Turned the jets on and find that they are not all that strong. As far as leaning back with head on a plastic pillow, as shown, I don't know how tall the model was. I'm 5'5", and when I tried to do that, found myself sitting on the edge of the seat on my tail bone. I can't imagine a man trying to use it. Most uncomfortable. So, now you've bathed, (and don't drop the soap, you won't be able to reach to the bottom of the tub to retrieve it) and begin emptying the tub, and there you sit again, naked, cold and this time, wet and cold. I considered putting a space heater in the bathroom for this unpleasantness. And, as every tub does, a ring is left in the tub, and, as a consequence of your sitting there while it drains, leaving a ring on you! All the whistles, changing lights, fragrance and the like may appeal to some. For me it was superfluous, and not at all conducive to relaxation. I've owned it for well over a year and have used it maybe 5 times. Can't recommend Safe Step to anyone. DeNeece Butler

Maybe you shouldn't support a fake Tennessean like fake senator tubberville my father served in the airforce wwIi Korea, brother retired marine and son in Iraq army. he is a disgrace to this country and an enemy of our beloved armed forces heroes! Get a reality check and be a true American and get him out of our government who needs heroes not toxic fake unhuman beings. Please then I would support your needed business for the handicapped and elderly. I'll pray that you become the humans this world needs.

Yesterday I had a repair tech arrive and repair my tub. 2 hours later and 4 repairs adjusted door handle, tightened valve replaced shower handle and hose, and motor was making noise. After 20 years of owning this fabulous tub most of this repair was age related and fully covered by lifetime warranty. The price of the service call was very fair and covers labor. I’ve had excellent service from customer service (was called back on Monday and had repair here on tues) and from this service tech (Daniel T. And also another in the past).

First contact was Patrick, sales. The home visit was prompt, relaxed, and informative. No high pressure speech. Tub was beautifully installed two weeks later. Bathroom looks perfect. Installers were also prompt, professional, and efficient. We are totally enjoying our safestep tub.

We were a little concerned about the installation of our Safe Step tub due to having a small bathroom in an old home. The installers, Bob and Tim, definitely had to implement their problem solving skills and much muscle power but they got the scary job done well. We were impressed with their top quality work.

One of the best investments we’ve ever made. The installation process was amazing thanks to James. His workmanship and expertise only added to the value of the purchase. Every person that contacted us regarding the product was professional and courteous. We can now safely shower and bathe without the worry of falling.

The salesman was thorough and knwoledgeable. The installation team was excellent...you'd never know that the tub was added and replaced the standard tub that came with the house. I've only taken showers for the last 25 years, and now soaking in this tub with water jets, air jets, and heated seat & back is delightful. Wish I'd gotten one years ago.

Installation team was on time and 100% professional and highly skilled. Old tub out and new one in quickly. Tub looks beautiful. Very neat work. Did a thorough walk through and everything works as expected. Mother loves her new bathing experience. The turnkey project i was hoping for and more! Resting easy with lifetime warranty.

We referred my mother to safestep in August after our walkin tub was installed and it is now December, 3 months after her installation. We have requested our $500 referral reward every month since with no progress being made. The sales rep tries to correct the situation but hasn't been able to correct the problem.

We were extremely satisfied with workmanship and expertise of the installer after he had completed the installation. He then gave us a very informative review of the workings of the tub and all controls. Before he was done he cleaned the entire area and removed material that was not used and all scrap material that was left over. I gave him a great big 5 STARS for a job well done. we love our Safe Step Walking Tub we wished we had done it years ago.. Thank you very much...

Mike and Doc were consummate professionals as they worked to complete the installation of my Safe StepTub. Job was completed within time frame. I am so excited about this tub and have had some of the soundest sleep in years! Everything promised has happened. Electricians DiWaldo and Garrett were also excellent.

When my tub was installed by wonderful men all in one day, I was thrilled. But, at 80 years old I have experienced problems that I don't understand. My husband has called for service but no one has responded with an appointment. I do love the tub's features but I realized to late that I should have been more involved in the instructions given to my husband. Except for a few problems I am having, I love my Safe Step Tub.

They refused to give me a price without getting all my info first. That's called a hard sale. They have a script to convince you to buy on the spot. They also buy ads to show their "amazing" reviews...the ones they write themselves. Just another corporate scam. If you're here, you found their real rating.

This company uses their strong sales approach to take advantage of elderly people over the phone. This company took my mother for $1000 for a service that she did not need and did not get. When I called to intervene, there was a sales rep by the name of Mike who was very very rude and defensive. This company does not want to return my mom’s deposit that they coerced her into giving .Please be aware they are scammers. Please, let’s all take a stand and protect our elderly loved one from this company.

What is a down fall I live in a home with two disabled people and they wanted 23000 dollars to do the job and they don't accept Medicare Medicare or other information knowing and seeing we are on a tight budget. Like the perks suck as the lottery draw.
