Is saasacademy.com Legit?

We basically invested over 30k just to find out that we were left hanging with no support or live calls for 2 weeks after joining. One month into joining we had a big dip to our revenue due to the tasks given by our assigned coaches.The course videos are recordings of older zoom live calls and the information was disappointing too.We have cancelled our membership.

We’re incredibly disappointed with SaaS Academy. After paying $36,000 for a one-year course, we only made it through the first call before deciding to drop out. In that call, we were given vague long-term suggestions and walked through a basic document about identifying our ideal customer—nothing groundbreaking or worth the investment.The next scheduled call was postponed because the team was on vacation. This, combined with the low-quality video course, made it clear that this wasn’t going to deliver the value we expected. In Germany, you can get far more for €3,000 than we’ve seen here for $36,000. We’re extremely disappointed and now realize that most of this is just Den Martell’s branding hype.

Our experience with SaaS Academy was, unfortunately, nothing short of a disaster. From the very beginning, we were subjected to high-pressure sales tactics that left us feeling uneasy. Despite our initial hesitations, we moved forward with the service, but things quickly went from bad to worse.Firstly, they charged the wrong credit card—my private one—causing significant personal complications. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, SaaS Academy has refused to refund the card. I am now forced to involve lawyers and MasterCard, as they continue to ignore all refund requests.We were promised a detailed game plan in the first session, but that never materialized. Instead, the coach disappeared on vacation, leaving us with no support at the start of our cooperation. Our team was left completely in the dark with no guidance, and any attempts to reach out for help were met with silence.Emails were ignored, requests for assistance were brushed off, and all we got in return was a constant barrage of emails and phone calls, which felt more like a sales push than actual support. It became apparent that after signing up, the level of service dropped drastically.To make matters worse, our company experienced the worst results in its history during the period we worked with SaaS Academy. The lack of a proper strategy and support from their end contributed significantly to this downturn. As a result of this overwhelming failure, I eventually stepped down as CEO of the company.As someone who has built 7- and 8-figure coaching businesses, I am astonished at how bad the communication was throughout the entire process. Despite their eventual acknowledgment of their failings and a delayed apology, the damage was already done. Sadly, their refusal to refund my private card has added insult to injury.In conclusion, SaaS Academy did not deliver on its promises, and we would strongly advise caution before engaging with them. Our experience was marked by poor communication, lack of support, and high-pressure tactics that left us frustrated, dissatisfied, and now entangled in legal action.

SaaS Academy is by far the best coaching program I've ever been apart of. As a B2B SaaS founder, I realized how much was missing from other programs that didn't specifically focus on B2B SaaS. This program has true experts at all levels, who understand the unique challenges of starting a scaling this kind of business. They offer incredibly comprehensive support, and more coaching than you can possibly utilize. Whether you prefer 1-on-1, group, in person, pre-recorded content, they have everything and it is all top notch. You can really tell that the team is constantly trying to improve the quality and effectiveness of every aspect of the program. I would just say that if you run a B2B SaaS company, there's no better place to be if your goal is to grow your company and accomplish big things.

In the year gone by, we joined the SaaS Academy Program with high hopes and great enthusiasm. The program in its advertisements was promising a heck lot but disappointingly turned out to be another run-of-the-mill program.No one tried to understand our unique business, just like the other million programs available online. We got zero ROI out of it and was a total waste of time and money. With no value addition and no personal guidance, this program is an easy pass.

I just had a session with these guys and I can not express how uncomfortable I felt. The sales person was pushing me to join their program (36k!) right on the spot. I insisted that I needed time to consider, but he was pushing me constantly, questioning my ability as CEO. After reading reviews here, I understand why they had such a cheap tactic.

Same experience as other reviewers. I got an call with that person who said "hey man" as a greeting. I started to talk a bit about the business. The guy said we are a bad company and he thinks we are going to basically fail and basically decided that the best case scenario was to crap all over my business. I told him this is akin to being rude and called him out on it. He got upset and told me it is not a fit. Not sure what to think about it, but to me it was a comedic experience because they spend a while calling us and ultimately want us to pay them money, and the way they do it is they try to bully you into it.

Not only did they provide great advice, but they gave me actionable items I could physically take. It wasn't just platitudes, it was real action to guide me in my journey.

The SaaS Academy transformed us a founders and in turn changed the course of our business. Since joining the SaaS Academy just a few months ago we've added $100K in projected ARR, and are now growing 50% MoM. How/why? As a founder, there are probably 1,000 different things that we could have done on a given day... endless trainings and materials. But within days of joining the SaaS Academy we began learning how to focus and dig deep. The content was best in class, but where the experience jumped off the page was when our coach helped guide us. For months it felt like watching water boil, but he helped us keep our heads down to follow the path and keep finessing and fine tuning.And then sure enough... we found our stride and got our wins.On similar timing, we decided to go to an Intensive to meet other founders committed to the same journey and vision that we are, and when we got back we had a completely different perspective on how we could set even bigger goals and achieve them, just like the folks ahead of us who are easily clearing >$5M in ARR. Net: The team at SaaS Academy has taught us, guided us, pushed us, connected us, and encouraged us.

Towards the end of the 8 weeks I started getting more traction and wish we had coaching for longer than 8 weeks. I struggle with making the group calls that aren't on a regular time schedule. Overall I think this is a great program to be a part of - if you put in the work.

I got on a "Growth Discovery Call" and the Zoom call was immediately recorded. I asked the "coach" if we could turn off the recording as I would talk about things that are private to my business and my life and because I am not even their customer yet.He said it was their policy, and there was no way he was going to turn off the recording. Seems like these "coaches" are just trained monkeys reading scripts.He said the call was to discover if we were a good fit or not. Because I didn't want the call recorded he said we weren't a good fit and ended the call.This organisation of Dan Martell seems like not a good one. SaaS founders don't waste your time.

I was honestly super skeptical of SaaS Academy at first...We were an early stage software company with a solid product but no idea how to really approach the market so we took a chance and joined their Growth Accelerator. Following the playbook in Growth Accelerator, we grew our revenue to the point where we were eligible for their next level up, full "SaaS Academy" - this is where the real magic happens. I've never really understood why community was so important for growing a SaaS company until joining their last in-person intensive. The content was honestly mind-blowing and the people in the community are wonderful. I've been fortunate to get to know the leadership of this company up to the top and they are solid founders with awesome content who have built a great community to empower growing companies. SaaS Academy is the real deal (or I wouldn't have renewed us for another year :)

I honestly don't get the negative reviews SaaS Academy gets. I've been in the program for +3 years, I do the work, I show up, I ask questions, I go to the events, I get on 1-1 coaching calls. And I'm about to hire my 100th employee thanks to Dan. Most people who don't get value, don't value investing in themselves. Wake up guys.

Saas Academy has deeply knowledgeable coaches and they are very focussed on helping you achieve your goals as a founder. There is a wealth of high quality training available but the greate value lies in the fact that both the training and the service is focussed on providing you with the 'minimum effective dose' in each area, freeing you up to focus on execution confident that you are doing the right thing at the right level of effort to move your venture forward.
