I have used one of your knives since before the Internet was a widely used tool, well over 20 years. I have just picked up the knife which was an investment all those years ago and it has been a pleasure to use every time. The blade is so well made that it holds it's edge and can easily be sharpened. Family and friends have not managed to sabotage that knife all other lesser knives have been damaged. Thank you, I recommend your product to anyone who wants a value for money excellent knife not the cheapest but definitely the best value kitchen tool. Over 20 years proves it beyond doubt. Time I bought one or two more sizes. Please ignore the date of my review it wouldn't accept over 12 months. The company deserve to be rewarded by praise for long term performance.

Easy ordering, fast, kept informed, amazing price, beautifully made in Sheffield, my favourite knife already and I've got some very nice knives by Wustoff etc. I'm very proud of my new English blade and the rosewood handle looks and feels great. Superb value for money, I will never buy any other brand again, I absolutely love my new knife 🔪 and the weight would suit any user.

I purchased two FS knives recently a first pattern polished blade brass handle it’s an outstanding replica of this historic dagger.I then purchased a third pattern polished the wrong knife was sent out but they went above and beyond sorting the issue out the same day,next day my polished one arrived and they collected the other one.The polished one is another great replica I’m very happy with it and the customer service is first class from Susan at Samuel Staniforth LTDHighly recommended and 5 stars from me.

Love my new Santoku and Bread knives, and hopefully they will hold up as well as the rest of my Staniforth knives. The bread knife is particularly impressive. The new cardboard packaging was great to see - far more eco friendly, and far more in-keeping with the quality of the product than the old cheap-looking plastic packs. Happy repeat customer.

Good delivery service. I didn't buy a professional knife as I am not a professional. Bought the cheaper version of the boning knife. I found it adequate to cut round the bones of a pheasant to joint it but found the blade to be stiff not very flexible as I would expect. But then it wasn't an expensive version. Otherwise very sharp.

Excellent product, fast service.

Following a gift of 4 knives I decided to buy an additional large chefs knife to complete the range I needed. The website was easy to use with plenty of choice and the delivery was quick with good updates via email. The knives are fantastic, incredibly sharp and solid in the blade. The handles are gorgeous and comfortable to hold. I would 100% recommend these knives to anyone, either occasional cooks or someone who wants to take things the next level as they are fantastic value .

Fab Sheffield knives and depsatched in good time. Customer service was great. Only down side was with their courier of choice, DPD. Delivered in third attempt but they had not attempted previously, despite their updates.

Chefs knife was bought for a birthday present. Recipient was delighted with it, says it’s a really lovely knife. On line order form was a bit confusing due to ordering for another person but spoke to customer service and it was easily sorted. Dispatch and delivery prompt.

Just what I expected lovely

Ordering was easy and I had the 10" stainless steel chef's knife within about a week. Given the knife was made to order and it was coming from the UK to the USA, I thought that a pretty fine performance.. I've only had the knife a little while, but it's beautiful, nicely balanced in the hand, good rocking action, nice heavy feel (I got a 10" chef's knife from a famous German manufacturer and was very disappointed with its weight - had half the steel of this one), we'll see about it's edge holding ability over time... But, so far, nothing whatever to complain about.

After selecting my knives and a steel which was not an exact match they contacted me to ask if I would like the sharpening steel handle match the set. for no extra cost. The knives turned up inside a week and are amazing.

Wonderful to be able to purchase hand made quality British products. I have bought a Slicer & Steel for my husband for Christmas and I know he will be over the moon, as he loves the Boning Knife I bought him for his Birthday. Easy to use website, good communication throughout & well packaged.

Not my first purchase from Samuel Staniforth and again the quality of the knife is excellent. The 8” chef’s knife is superb to use being well balanced. Just a couple of weeks from order to delivery with great communication.

Saw these on Great British Railway Journeys when Michael Portillo visited the workshop, and was looking for some quality Steak Knives. Was taken by the different wooden handles so went for a mixed set. A fantastic product and great comms on the delivery

Took a long time to be delivered. I think my order had been forgotten about as I needed to call to see why it hadn’t arrived. Nevertheless, it soon arrived thereafter.
