Is rspb.org.uk Legit?

An absolute waste of time! You phone them up if you spot an injured Animal, and have to talk and have to deal with some dumb idiot! and they do absolutely nothing but ask a load of Stupid questions and waste you're time! Not only that, you have to wait hours on end for them to even come out even if they actually do! Funny how their on the ball if a donation is given or you pay them as a member, yeah that says it all! Don't bother ringing or getting in contact with this Useless Company, or the RSPCA, their Tossers. We'll rescue the Animals ourselves!

RSPB Minsmere. Dispute promises in May 2024 that they would reinstate the discount on hot drinks if disposable cups (which RSPB head office said they should have been doing) are used to encourage this environmental issue. This is still not the case.I would understand if this was a RSPB comersial decision in the best interest of bird conservation but as this has not been communicated it’s very disappointing.

Truly awful customer service, long waits on phone, multiple phone calls, ignoring requests and a month later still no replacement item. Cannot be relied on to do what they say they are going to do. Will not order online again and considering my membership too.

I ordered highest standard sunflower hearts. They were expensive. When they arrived I was so disappointed with the quality, especially given who they were purchased from!! Mostly chips of hearts, a few whole ones.I won't be buying from them again.

I ordered about £120-worth of items from them but soon after had second thoughts and asked to cancel it. They replied very quickly to say they couldn't cancel but would be happy to arrange collection from my house at no charge.Compared to the atrocious customer service from many on-line retailers these days where the best you get is a mindless bot, I though this was worth some browni points, hence this review.BTW. The items (bird feeder + stand) looked well-made.

I've ordered from the RSPB website twice. The first time was AMAZING. I ordered three singing birds and they arrived within 24 hours. I was honestly astonished. A month later, I placed a second order. This one took about a week to arrive (it was 4 birds this time) and when it arrived one of them didn't sing (since singing is the gimmick, this is a problem!). I got in touch via email and was told a replacement would be sent. I haven't seen it and the Royal Mail Tracking suggests that they haven't either. All in all they don't seem bad, though I'm not convinced I'm on good hands when things go wrong!

Avoid volunteering for RSPB. Area managers treat volunteers like rubbish and give unrealistic badge selling targets. They are very aggressive and demeaning in manner and expect more monetary donations with the very limited stock they provide. Travel expense reimbursements are refused and you are expected to attend venues at your own expense, whilst giving your time freely volunteering for this charity. Avoid.

Ordered a book from online shop, only the empty packaging delivered with nothing inside This was to be a Xmas gift.Attempt to contact them re this, no telephone contact number available, emailed to advise of above situation, 7 days later no contact from themWill now take up with my bank for refund and contact trading standards over the atrocious service.

Just terrible. Took over a week to place an order. Phoned multiple times. Was promised calls back, never happened. Sent multiple unanswered emails. When you do finally get through the staff are untrained and pass you around like a hot potato. Not even received the goods yet but the experience so far has been so painful I had to leave this review.

I’ve been following the adverts on Facebook for their beautiful Puffin vases etc. However tonight I made a small comment saying the vase was really beautiful ‘ but how many people at the moment can afford almost £500 for one?’. I was immediately blocked from the page!!

As an RSPB member for some years I decided when visiting the reserve in Conway in the spring of 2023 to purchase their new Camera Bird BOX £160.00. It looked good, and was going to replace a very old one that I bought over 15 years ago from a private company. During the summer of 2023 I set it up. I did it all via its instructions. The picture was extremely good, but the so called magic box that was supposed to do magic things at night was no good at all. After much dicussions with the manufacture via rspb there was nothing could be done save to just use the old fashion AV line on the TV. It worked fine during daylight hours but at night useless. A lot of trying to overcome this issue failed, now a year later not only after the breeding season has almost finished whereby nothing even investigated the box but the box looks worn on the outside from all this years rain but the complete reception has failed! I consider this purchase to be a total failure albeit I will attempt to modify it myself. First I will remove the so called skylight vents they are two pieces of clear plastic that is suposed to let more light in (birds like darkness)! I will then paint it with proper non toxic paint to preserve it and some try and use my old 15 year camera set up to replace the useless one.Good luck

I love 💕 to buy my bird🐦-themed Christmas cards from the RSPB Shop, as they are very good quality & reasonably priced, while I can help nature accordingly. 🆒This time though I received such a generous offer discount that I almost felt guilty over the price I was paying bearing in mind it's to a charity's affiliate 💎. I paid a few £s less than planned for the cards + postage, & got a lovely bird pen & a delightful bottle bag included as well.The items arrived promptly & in perfect condition. ***** Many thanks! 😎👍

Do you understand this charity? Where do you protect nature when 10 duck eggs die without protection and mother? I know some countries that would now set up a camera and see if the mother comes back or save her in the incubator. That's why you have Bird Protection! Useless and a shame.

They have had an unnecessary "upgrade" to their website. It's now extremely difficult to use in certain key areas and now DOES NOT tell you which birds can be found at their reserves. "Birds"... And if you dare to mention this to them (on their social media because they make it impossible to contact them in a normal fashion through their clunky website), they just block you and mark you as spam. Petty and disingenuous. Less and less focus on what they're supposed to be about and more and more focus on pushy sales. The RSPB seems to be just a money making company now and as a result I don't believe they are trust worthy. I have already cancelled my membership.

We arrived today as non members at Minsmere. One particular RSPB man was intimidating towards us and made us feel uncomfortable. When we said we didn’t want to be members as there wasn’t a site within travelling distance to our home, he said that people become members to support the charity without visiting. I don’t think we will be visiting again.

I have only ordered once & won’t order again from RSPB. I need to return an item that is too small but not only has the confirmation email disappeared from my laptop but when I submit my order number, email & postcode in the return section online, it says they don’t match! I finally found the telephone number for customer services by googling it but have been listening to birdsong for ages as nobody will pick up. What a disaster this organisation is & I'm a bird lover who has been feeding wild birds for decades & teaching my nursery children about the different species. I have sent a second message on the RSPB website imploring them to contact me so I may return the sweatshirt & get a refund. Hopefully I will get a response as ringing customer service is as useful as a chocolate fire guard! The whole experience has been extremely frustrating!

Purchased Harrier 8x42 Binoculars, £230. from Newport, 13 July 2023. Good optics and weight etc, as described.Got home took out of case and strap fixing rivet head detached and fell away! Not a big problem to repair and stitch strap, but disappointed with such very early failure.

Sue and the warehouse team were outstanding in terms of customer service. We had misplaced an RSPB previously purchased pair of binoculars- a birthday gift for bird-keen grandson. After phone contact yesterday on Friday afternoon, and all fingers crossed, a knock at the door at 8.30 am. today on Saturday morning as smiling Parcelforce guy delivered our replacement purchased pair of red Puffin bins! Brilliant! Thank you SO much, Sue and the RSPB Team. Can now happily attend his celebration today on his sixth birthday.

I ordered two pairs of binoculars for grandchild Christmas presents. They were to be delivered by DX. The delivery driver dropped the parcel at the wrong location. I have no idea where. I was waiting at home for the delivery and saw the van go past at speed.RSPB responded immediately to my email and the replacement binoculars arrived two days later.

You need to change your name as your organisation does not protect birds. Your obsession with birds of prey has decimated wild birds. How anyone can witness these vile things ripping birds apart and enjoy it is sick

Their website, http://www.rspb.org.uk/ is brilliant if you have any interest in bird watching / nature / conservation etc. Lots of seasonal data, bird identification notes, bird calls, pictures, video etc. Well organised website, easy to use, some great pictures. All details on UK bird sanctuaries / reserves.
