rpssolarpumps.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives rpssolarpumps.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 78.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Standard. Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 78.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to rpssolarpumps.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning rpssolarpumps.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between rpssolarpumps.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of rpssolarpumps.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of rpssolarpumps.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. rpssolarpumps.com is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether rpssolarpumps.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether rpssolarpumps.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, rpssolarpumps.com.

I have already left a review regarding this company, but I am writing an update so that others may be forewarned. The customer support staff at this company is a bunch of flat out, pants on fire liars. After submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I did receive an email from Kayla B, the customer service manager. She apologize and offered to refund the extra money I had to spend to get a replacement pump shipped to replace the defective one that was originally included in my order. This offer was apparently enough to resolve the BBB complaint, but they never actually gave me a refund! Their website is full of statements about how their a company their grandparents would be proud of. I never met their grandparents, but if I was as dishonest and deceitful as RPS, Grandpa Joe would've had something to say about it for sure.
Misleading advertising that says they offer "complete systems". Need to read & study about all the components needed to actually install a solar pump system. The pricing isn't for all components needed.
Have spent over 8k with this company in the last year on a 60gpm system. Only produces 30gpm. Have replaced the pump 3 times the controller twice troubleshoot numerous times with rps engineering no positive results just excuses at this point and now they haven't responded in 7 days! Cheap parts poor customer service.
Purchased wireless water tank sensor with remote shutoff on 1/11/2024. Very misleading in description of how easy it is to install (DIY) and their advertising for free shipping was misleading. I had over $5000 in damages and repairs after having 3 electricians help in installing this item.
Haley M was fantastic. I am doing an off grid cabin with a well project in rural NM. She was so kind, knowledgable and helped me through the process of sizing my pump, even going the extra mile to connect me to a local installer!. Absolutely great customer service.
I recently purchased the rps 800 in rural Arkansas. This was a very easy install and the well pumps much better than I expected. This set up still delivers water on overcast days at a reduced rate. Technical support is very helpful, kind and know the products thoroughly. This is a no brainer for areas that have limited access to electricity and would be awesome for off grid systems.
Have a couple systems for cattle watering and have had the most positive experience with this company. I left a google review as well and was not incentivized to do so - just felt that good people deserve good feedback online not just the occasional troll that no one can make happy in life. Call them up and see for yourself. They aren't pushy, they always return your calls (they were a little busy this summer it sounds like but they still got back to me the next day) This is a great company with a great product that really wants you to succeed.
RPS was great to work with throughout the entire process. We are very happy with the 5 hp system that keeps our 1/2 acre pond full of clean water year round and the Air 200 aerator. The sales and support teams are quick to respond to any questions throughout the installation and setup process. We will be using RPS for all of our wells on the ranch. Thanks RPS
I purchased an RPS Solar Pump system! It was a little pricey, but well worth it.I had a small problem and contacted customer service and the problem turned out to be ME! But they were very professional, very helpful, and very friendly throughout the whole process.I haven't been more impressed by any company in many years.I would HIGHLY recommend RPS Solar Pumps to ANYONE! Their system is well-honed and precise and VERY professional.
I bought a RPS system a couple years ago and the installation when flawlessly (I was initially suspicious because nothing works that smoothly for me). The instructions were easily to follow. The system worked much better than the foreign pumps that kept failing. I ran into a problem this year,( my fault), and they helped me get it fixed. This is a company that cares about their reputation. I highly recommend them. Jon Trial
This is my second contact with customer service, and I have been very pleased with the solutions offered in resolving each issue. Cristian worked with me this time to troubleshoot and then expedite replacement of the AC/DC converter under warranty service. I highly recommend RPS and its excellent support team.
I just have to say something nice about this company. My sales rep (Danna) was personable, knowledgeable and anxious to get me into the right system. The customer service was stellar all the way through. The pump itself ended up not being the right thing for us (not the fault of RPS), they provided return labels and were kind about it.I wish all companies could learn from these people. It was wonderful dealing with them, I will recommend them and use them in the future.
DO NOT BE FOOLED. There is no way to install this unless you are a professional solar installer. The company fools you into thinking this is doable on your own. It is not. Reached out to the seller for an installer and there are none. Now we’re stuck but they have our $$$$$
Easy to install, stellar customer service (the engineers are top-notch!), and not a single problem 2 years in. I highly recommend them!
Friendly but no help. Engineers hide behind reception staff and are scared of phones. I called many times, but the engineers will not reply by phone. I sent emails saying, please only call or text response as we are off-grid (hence the off-grid irrigation). Had a wrong answer given by the reception staff as the engineers were busy, which is going to cost me to replace 200 feet of wire. I asked a simple wiring question and could someone please just call or FaceTime so they can see the wires? It would have taken 5 minutes but of course, the company is run by the engineers and the owners are scared of losing the engineers, so they emailed back, which meant I didn't get a response until I got back to the wifi zone. They did send a replacement pump with a label for me to send the other one back. I checked my email and they had only sent emails reminding me to send it back, even though I've told them multiple times I won't get email till I'm on grid, so only caught it when they threatened to charge my card. The product is great but unfortunately, the service is friendly but no help. Just getting told, sorry not available, in a friendly way does not make it good customer service. Need to add another pump like this again and a booster pump, but I will have to look at alternatives. Such a shame. My advice to the company. PICK UP THE PHONE, if your product is for off-grid people, then act like it and get control of your engineers.Again great product, it really is but as most people state, friendly but terrible service.5 stars for the product and 2 for the service so 3 overall
UPDATE: RPS got ahold of me and we are working on a fix. Kayla who is the customer service manager explained everything and was very nice. She explained they're a small company that is growing rapidly but they strive for great customer service. It's so refreshing to have a company talk to you one on one and be honest! That deserves 4stars alone! I'll post another update when we get the system worked out. Back in April I called rps and talked to a sales representative. I wasn't sure which system to order so I figured I'd ask the experts. I informed the lady that I needed a system that would run our whole farm. Run multiple irrigation zones in our produce garden, top off our pond, fill our stock tank for the cabin and it would need to possibly water paddocks during dry months. They shipped us the pro 500v. We got busy on the farm and just hooked it up last weekend. It isn't to hard hooking it up. That's a plus. Here's the down side. The panels are only 100w small panels. We have 8 of them, the pump is a half horse power pump. Ya no pressure to run a farm off of. Maybe if we're lucky we're getting 4 to 5 gallons a minute. We paid $4,000 for this system and it won't even run 1 zone of irrigation. I called rps again, the lady I spoke with looked over all the notes and said we definitely got the wrong pump and someone in management would call me back. No one ever called. I called back and was put through to a technician. He said he would look over everything and email me. He did email but now our only option seems to be spending another 3,000$ minimum to upgrade our system. So now we're stuck with a $4k system that's only good for filling up a water storage tank. Definitely not impressed. One clue we didn't realized until it was to late is they don't give you pump sizes anywhere.
They are friendly people. Not all that easy to deal with but friendly. I received my complete package a little over a year ago. It's an 800 watt system. The first issue was the poly pipe. It must have been rolled hot and left for who knows how long. It was oval shaped and resembled a 300' long spring. There's no way it would feed down the well more than about 100' without wadding up. We pulled it back out and laid it out in the sun to try and straighten it. No luck, it went about 100' again and wadded up. I disconnected everything, un-taped the wire and safety rope then reversed the poly pipe as one end wasn't as bad as the other. We finally got it to feed into the well by pumping it up and down. It seemed to pump good enough for what we needed although without a foot valve the water runs back down the well overnight from the holding tank. I added a check valve at the ground level to cure that problem. Around 8-9 months ago my tank got a leak so we shut the system down as it wasn't our primary water source. When we were able to afford a new tank we hooked it all up and it pumped fine. I checked the tank a couple times a day for the next few days. On the third day the tank was overflowing. The high water tank sensor seemed to have failed. I called RPS and they said that it only carries a 1 year warranty but they would send me a new sensor even though it was out of warranty. Great! We waited for the sensor to come in to find out they sent a sensor and pump splice kit! I called them again and spoke with CS , very nice friendly people. They sent me 2 sensors this time because the man said that they fail quite frequently. ....... Before pulling the old one out and splicing the new one in I decided to test it in a 200 gallon poly tank. The ohm readings seemed ok so I hooked it to the control panel to test it with the tank, "just in case". Nope! It doesn't work. I'm guessing the controller has failed for whatever reason. Now I checked the website and see they have 24/7 phone support. Nope! They do have a very lengthy and did I say friendly, recording on how to purchase a complete system. There's a little mention of a DYI question and answer on the website. I'm sure it's there but I'll be damned if I could find it.
First, I don't much like complaining about things, but in good conscience, I can't allow this company to continue doing business as they are without at least giving people a heads-up.The original 1-star review has been updated based on subsequent interaction with the company (scroll to the bottom to see the update).I purchased an RPS solar system to run the water for our house and garden. The total price of their package was about $3500. It's expensive, but considering we live in the Pacific Power shut-off zone (a scheme they use to shut down large areas to prevent wildfires), I was not overly concerned about the price. The first issue came with the manual. It's probably the least understandable manual I have ever tried to read. I ended up hiring an electrician to install the system because the manual was completely unhelpful, and I could not get a response from RPS technical support. When I called them the first time, the technician was just as clueless as I was, to my surprise. He explained that he was new and that he would have a senior technical support agent call me back shortly. That call did not happen until some 3 weeks later. During those three weeks, I called multiple times, as did my electrician, but no one would answer the phone. When I finally got the call from a knowledgable RPS technician, he informed me that there must be a bad part, and that he would ship it out immediately. The company agreed to pay for my electrician to install it, which sounded reasonable. Now, here is the rub. Because their support team would not return my calls, I hired an electrician, who spend several hours trying to get the system to work, resulting in a hefty bill. When I told the RPS senior technician about that bill and requested that their company pay for it, he said, he apologized for the lack of return phone calls. He explained that the issue was due to a shortage of technicians (someone quit, it seems) and that it couldn't be helped. He then went on to explain that he asked the owner if the company would pay for the electrician that I hired during the time when RPS was not helping me. The owner told him it was not their policy to pay for that. The end result is that I lost a lot of personal time, energy, and money on this issue. Their policy is that they demand their customers to pay for their mistakes. But wait, it gets worse. They sent out the part, which arrived about a week and a half later and they scheduled my electrician to install it at 8 AM this morning (the day of this review). The electrician showed up promptly, expecting to be guided through the installation process by the RPS technician, which was the plan that he detailed to me on the phone in our last conversation. The electrician calls the RPS support line as he was instructed - nobody answers (as usual). Two hours later, the RPS technician calls me to begin the installation process. Why he called me is beyond my comprehension. They are paying the electrician, who they hired to be at my place at 8 AM. Why didn't they call the electrician like any competent person would do?I suspect you guessed it...the electrician was not able to solve the problem and had to move on to other work...I still have a dysfunctional RPS system that I have paid heavily for in time, energy, and money. AND it still does not work. What are the odds that they are going to get the electrician back out here any time soon to solve the issue? If I had to place any money on it, I would bet against RPS.As an owner of a business myself, I know that there is a huge price to be paid for poor service--even if I can't immediately see it. RPS saved themselves a couple of hundred dollars by not paying for the electrician I hired as a result of them not returning my calls, a price that they should have covered if they had any integrity. Their unwise decision motivated me to write this Yelp review. How many potential customers will they lose over the life of this review, nobody knows. But I bet it's going to cost them A LOT more than a few hundred dollars, and that is how it should be.If you want to work with a company that respects and supports you, you would be wise to look elsewhere--avoid RPS Rural Pumps.Update:A few hours after posting the above review, I received an email from RPS apologizing for the many issues. They admitted their fault and ultimately did what they could to rectify the situation, which included a partial refund, sending out parts to correct the issue, and some new batteries (an upgrade). The system seems to work swimmingly now!I feel that this company may have been hit hard by COVID-19 and is suffering from a lot of subsequent disorientation and disorganization. That said, I believe their initial lack of support and poor responses on the phone, made the situation far worse than it had to be. With time, I hope RPS will be a great company.
Good so far. The pump seems good and the engineers are helpful

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
