rotorooter.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives rotorooter.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 70.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 70.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to rotorooter.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning rotorooter.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between rotorooter.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of rotorooter.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of rotorooter.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. rotorooter.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether rotorooter.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether rotorooter.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, rotorooter.com.

I asked for them to come and do two drains at my business, simple clog, they said that don't do these drains because they are outside. I asked for an explanation and to speak to a manager and they refused. They advertise commercial work as well
$800 to snake a clogged drain was proposed by the Root-Rooter technician, based on thier "book" pricing to my 75 year old mother. A simple job that cost $119 with another local plumber. The Roto-Rooter technician asked me after I told him to leave due to the ridiculous price - "what do you want to pay?" A plumbing job this simple DOES NOT cost $800.
called Roto Rooter n September to look at my n segment property on Linwood Avenue in East Baltimore. the technician or plumber they sent out didn't know what he was doing. he wanted to begin to put holes in the wall to search for water leak. he put a hole in my ceiling and side wall. I informed him side wall is the only place were pipe is located.he didn't have a leak detector in his possession. without detecting the leak he wanted to replace every pipe in the house for 15,000.00. they charged me 395.00 for the visit after doing nothing for us. I will be placing a complaint with the BBB for possible scamming.I will also be seeking a refund of the fee that they charged. stay away from them. their plumbers are not skilled in emergency service.
Dishonest Plumbing Company . Dishonest Unethical Plumbers are Hired here. Stay away because they will lie about the issue to swindle you to make thousands of dollars worth of REPAIRS you may never need. When my Sump Pump was working perfectly fine I was NOT informed that everything is Ok and good but instead scared to believe the fact that the entire Sump pump was damaged and needed replacement. I was handed a huge recommendation Charge for having it done that would cost me over four thousand dollars. Has been a year now and Not needed any of such repairs and Sump Pump is not had any issues till this day, knock on the Wood. But you may think why did I call Roto Rooter in the first Place to begin with ? It was because of a Gullible Family member that though sump pump was making a sound when spitting out water needed to be checked. So instead of ROTO ROOTER Plumber saying the Truth that it is fine lied and left a huge Dollars amount worth of expense to repair it instead.
We are a small business that needed a 3-sink sanitation station. Called Roto-Rooter in Brooklyn, NY. They quoted me a very high price (said so many things needed to be fixed, and gave me an estimate of $300 of parts. Well, after he installed the sink (that after a month has now a leak!!!), he told me that it was $750 for parts! I had to call his supervisor, and after a lot of telling me that it was not their fault we settled at around $500...wosrt service ever, terrible work, and now I need to find another plumber to fix the leak, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
We called Roto Rooter out to look at a slow/non flush toilet. The diagnosis was a clog in the main sewer line. They proceeded to tell us that the line needed to be Jetted and we said ok, after RR tried this procedure they could not make that work and resorted to an auger which pulled out some roots that were from the county side pipe not from our sewer line. That was all they could do and recommended that we cut down a tree. We still had an issue with the toilet flushing after they left and we called another plumbing company out and they were able to clear the line for a third of the cost. Please do yourself a favor DO NOT use ROTO ROOTER for any plumbing tasks.
Be aware that they will send you a 30 day preliminary notice of intent to lien on your home automatically before you even see a detailed bill or have had a chance to pay on any service they estimate to be over $3000. When asked they say everyone gets it. Use another company if you want a stress free experience.
We called Roto-Rooter as we thought they were an honest company. We needed our dishwasher hooked up correctly when they discovered a leak. They told us we had galvanized piping and needed to re-pipe our entire house! The quote was $35,000.00 dollars! We're elderly not stupid! We called another plumber who also Recommended, a re-piping. His estimate...$14,000.00!! We had it done the next week. Don't used Rotor-Rooter!~
PVC pipe with a garden faucet broke off at bottom of faucet. It was late in the day and had to shut off water to house. Lakewood, CA is the area serviced. Roto Rooter person showed up said it would be $492 to repair the PVC connection and replace the faucet. Had to go to Home Depot to get the parts that cost approximately $20 but person said, “we do a mark-up on the cost of parts 2 times the amount.” Aftermath is feeling deceived and overcharged for a simple repair. Will never use service again and will spread the word of the rip off.
Gave a high quote but had to get it fixed so agreed on the quote - then they charged an additional $4000 saying the "Scope" was larger than expected... Then job ended up being smaller than they initially ended up doing. I contested it and they said I signed a contract and to pay up. Then tried to talk to managers and got nowhere and they reported me to a collection agency. Total racket - stay away from these guys - Now I have it on my credit report even though I just ended up paying in full to wash my hands of these crooks.
Over priced. Called Roto-Rooter to fix a gas water heater. Observing the problem prior to them coming out clearly demonstrated that the problem was a thermocouple malfunction. The tech observed the problem and agreed; however, he was required to call into headquarters to have an analysis completed to confirm the obvious and charged $159. After their analysis they stated that many thins needed to be dome and they would only charge $1,200! Heck I could be a new one for less!
Urgent need for sump pump replacement during weekend. Was charged for almost $1100 (part and labor). R-R refused to give written warranty and pump model number even after three requests.
This review is in reference to RN49210A. Had a maiin drain clog. House isover 100 years old. That is a lot of accumulation. The workers were very professional and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what todo and they did iit quickly. Had great pleasure watching the sludge and grime among other things washing away on their camera. The men were very friendly and weren't annoyed with me with my many questions.
This is not a company for normal people. Only for the very rich! They are shockingly overpriced. It cost me $1200 to repair two toilets - one to mend a leaking wax ring and the other to replace the valve and flapper in the cistern. They charge based on a corporate pricing model and when they are in your home they use tactics to then sell unsolicited repairs. Do NOT use Roto-Rooter.
Replaced unnecessary parts and billed $950 when in fact all I needed was 2 toilet fill valves ($15 each at Lowes). Tech. Robert Heisner mentioned that he would have charged $900 anyway for 2 fill valves and labor!!!! Stay away, you're better off with Bowman or McClure.
I didn’t even want to leave one star. Mansfield, Ohio…missed two appointments on two separate days…when j called to find out what I said “should I schedule another plumber” he said “that’s fine, I’ll just cancel your order”
THEY CAME OUT FINALLY AFTER 3 CANCELLATIONS. CHARGED ME $458 TO TELL ME WHAT I ALREADY KNEW. THE DRAIN WAS CLOGGED. A FOLLOW UP SUPERVISOR WAS SUPPOSED COME BY TO DISCUSS OPTIONS AND SOLUTIONS. THEY NEVER DID. EVEN AFTER FURTHER REQUEST FOR FOLLOW UP, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD. BUT THEY NEVER DID. SO AFTER ALMOST 2 MONTHS. FINALLY THEY CALLED BACK AFTER 2 ADDITIONAL CALLS WITH NO RESPONSE I FINALLY FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY WHO CAME OUT AND DID WHAT ROTO ROOTER FAILED DO.
All I had was two pluming issues told to fix. Next thing i notice they total took apsrt three of apartments floors and walls. They total lied to me said we are not plumbers we just do migration work Didn’t even give me an estimate on work they completed. Said didn’t have to give me one. And through the process asked are y sure this is all covered by my insurance and found out one apartment is not covered. So know we are going to court . All I had was pluming issues. And when the job was done I turn the water on and was another leek they said were not responsible for. They took advantage of me.
Magnificent Plumbing & Customer Service! Extremely refreshing...Daniel addressed an issue we were having with our plumbing. He provided options of service I could choose from. His communication skills were impeccable. Extremely patient with me. Answered all my 100 questions. There are good people and good companies still in this world. Wilsonville Roto Rooter/Daniel is "good people" I have no reason to ever choose another plumbing company. Wilsonville Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service is 1st and only in our book!
Do not work with them. We were clearly just a number and their customer service is a joke. They said the work would would be entirely covered by insurance after reviewing our policy, 2 months later we received a really rude phone call saying they were talking legal action out of the blue. Additionally - They multiple times did not call us back- One person in the middle of the reasonable conversation hung up on us when we asked them to review the history on our account. - They didn't show up when they were scheduled- Way overpriced- Some had very hard to understand English.

“Exploding cold water faucet on our garden tub in the...”

Exploding cold water faucet on our garden tub in the master bath on a Sunday morning. After discovering the mess and turning off the water, called RotoRooter for an emergency visit. The RR plumber arrive quickly, was very competent with a great personality. Fixed the problem, explained what happened, and also called a Renovation expert to give us an estimate on repairing the downstairs ceiling. We will call RotoRooter everytime we have a plumbing problem (hopefully, not too often though!) RotoRooter, 524 Wilkes Rd., Fayetteville, NC.

“I had called this company to hook up my tankless water...”

I had called this company to hook up my tankless water heater to my natural gas line. They did an excellent job by ensuring everything was done properly and making sure it was safe. Although they did go over the original time frame and cost were exceeded it is still better to be safe than sorry and I am glad I chose them.

“Excellent service very knowledgeable”

Michael S Chadtain the technician was very knowledgeable he explained step by step what he was doing. He also gave me advice & tips. As a female you always worry are they doing the right thing. I could not have asked for a better technician to do the job. Thank you Michael.

“They will rip you off!”

I would not recommend this company! They came to our house twice and the problem was still not fixed. They charge you triple what they quote you and don't even fix the problem! My dad and I found and fixed the problem within an hour! Please read reviews on Yelp, Better Busn Bureau, Yellowpages. These tactics seem to be the norm for this company! Don't fall for their scam!

“Bellevue, TN”

Bellevue, TN - I had a water heater leaking and leaking into my neighbor's condo, so I need help fast. My own home warranty company messed up and couldn't find a plumber to get to me that day, so I called Roto-Rooter and Robert Sparks showed up in record time! He was not only knowledgeable and excellent at what he does, but very honest, friendly, kind and easy to talk to. Roto-Rooter is a great company and Robert is one of the best plumbers I've ever had and I have had quite a few at my condo over the years. Thanks Roto-Rooter and especially Robert! :)

“Roto Rooter came in November 2013 to put in a sewage...”

Roto Rooter came in November 2013 to put in a sewage pipe from the house to the sidewalk and in doing that they took out the frame of my plant box around the tree, laid boards across my plants like they just didn't care, I called Bill Brunk (who is the Supervisor over the men) and I told him what they did to my plants, he said that he was going to tell them to come out to my house to correct the matter, recently they came back and and was to fix the boards around my tree to secure my plants but instead they killed three of my plants, took some of the dirt from inside the plant box and put more dirt in my yard, the dirt from November 2013 went down and now it is like a mound of dirt. They will not answer the phone, or messages that I leave so I can't get this straight. Can you help me?

“Quick and thorough!”

Our tech Ron was phenomenal. Not only did he find the leak coming from our basement wall. He was able to fix it rather cheap. I was expecting to have to pay thousands. Can't recommend them enough.

“Good Job”

I have used them in the past and have found them to be a reliable company. Their technicians were knowledgeable, respectful, and quite professionable.

“Lies, Cheating, Don't waste your money”

Dont waste your money, Awful, thieves and rip off company, they gave me a 4 hours window to come (which is a long time to get off work and wait for them and said they will call with a 20 minutes heads up but will be closer to 4pm as I am their first to start for a technician ( a non-licensed plumber) who will start at 4pm, they called 4 pm and said the technician is on his way, 7pm I am still waiting, 8pm I called them, she said 13 minutes, no show for another hours, when he finally showed up he said he had started working at 6pm and does not know why the dispatcher said he is on his way at 4. When I call talking to the dispatcher is just like talking to a wall, they have been taught a bunch of lies to tell every customer. They write nonsense on their invoices in order to void the warranty. I used them 3 times, every time giving them the benefit of a doubt, same lying and cheating every time, the y have done the same to quiet few of my friends as well. The technicians are all on commission, (that is why they do not give you price ideas over the phone), when they show up they will try to sell you as much nonsense and price jack up as they have been trained. They will add many unnecessary items to the work that needed to be done. I realize they are in business to make money, but how about some honesty. Horrible company, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
