Our experience with Ross Coates solicitors was excellent. Emails and letters were timely and we were kept well informed throughout the process. We experienced no difficulty liaising by phone, and even when our contact was on holiday, another team member was able to give us up to date information and we felt that the team had our case well in hand. A discrepency was noticed with our purchase and the necessary indemnity insurance was sought- which was very reassuring. We felt the costs were reasonable and the service was good value for money. Overall our experience with the company was a very professional and thorough.

Avoid at all costs. There is one person at this firm able to do their job. Reception staff are rude and unhelpful. Emails are not responded to. I was on the other side of a transaction with this company and the sale nearly fell through as a result. Save yourself the heartache.

An absolute bunch of charlatans!! Totally inept and unprofessional in customer service. All they managed to do is to lose me the sale of the property when the buyer pulled out on the 22nd July 2024. It took RossCoates 8 months to achieve absolutely NOTHING! Problem on top of problem and when I attempted to speak to them....no-one to talk to at the so call Team1. I have e-mailed them numerous times begging for someone to call me back to no avail. I left numerous voice mails and again no-one ever have to dignity or compassion to return my calls and; before you ask.....I had to leave voice mails cause no-one answer the phone line. Not even an apology from them when they lost me the sale of the property but they were extremely quick in taking the initial £300 deposit for their non existent services!! I have dozen and dozen of e-mails that can prove their ineptitude and unprofessionalism. Stay away

Lucy Guerreiro, who handled my house sale and purchase, went above and beyond in her service. She made time in her busy schedule to explain in detail how things would work, and was always there to help with anything I needed. I never felt that she was too busy or that my enquiry was too 'obvious' for her to answer. I would really recommend her to anyone looking for conveyancing

If you are thinking of using a Comparison Site to pick a Conveyancing Firm be careful. We got sucked in by the price and it was a dreadful mistake. Having said that you could spend thousands and get similar service.Where to start with Ross Coates.1. Communication - Non existent or at best very slow.2. Telephone - Don't even bother trying no one answers the phone.3. E Mails - You get a reply albeit very late.4. Lunch Time - Everybody stops for a 1 hour break.5. Solicitor - Ours worked part time and school hours.6. Competency - They made numerous basic errors resulting in delays, costs and frustration. They did cover the costs.7. Payment - Don't expect to get the proceeds of your Sale until 5 working days after completion.We only received positive, responsive service from Ross Coates himself but even he washed his hands when we pointed out the poor service and said he wasn't directly involved.In future we will use a Company local to us so that we can visit their Office, that's not to say the same issues won't arise

After reading some of the bad reviews automatically negative things start to whirl around in your head, personally I felt the service was very good and during the purchase of my new house they looked into everything my estate agents comments where " your solicitor is been very particular and making sure everything is in place "I get the comments about them not responding straight away but how many other clients are they dealing with as we cant all be at the top of the pile.Overall I was very satisfied with the service offered.

Worst firm ever, avaoid at all costs. took a year to seell a flat for me and they after sending me a letter to say my mortgage had been paid off in December 2023, I got a call from the mortgagae company to say my mortgage was in arrears. This was in February 2024 so 3 months after the sale almost. When I spoke with them, I said I was going to the police as it was fraud. They then said they had forgot to pay it off?? How can you forget £75,00 is in your account, and looking at other reviews this is not the first time this has happened. Rude, ignorant and lack of spelling skills and knowledge from the staff, The only good reviews on here must be written by family and friends of Ross Coates. Charged me £1200 in January 2023 to complete in a week as they were ready to exchange but only took them til December 2023 and then when I asked for a refund in July 2023 they said if I did that I would go to the bottom of the queue!

I have recently completed a property transaction. Lucy was brilliant. She kept us informed and answered all our questions fully and quickly. She was friendly yet polite and professional. I would definitely recommend. I have used Ross Coates before they are always reliable and good value.

Awful!!Slow, rude, incompetent, don't answer the phones. Stressful process with them, team 1 just terrible terrible service. Didn't confirm anything, kept in the dark, constantly had to chase them. Even after completion I had to chase them to get my money after two weeks. They didn't settle my mortgage and I continued to pay! They over paid my management agent!! If I didn't battle with them I would of easily lost over £1000. Still waiting to get refunded after more than 2 months.

At times I found that it was difficult to ascertain whether any progress was being made. Then I was advised that I would need to pay a further £1000 to fast track my sale. Recommended dealing with Graham or Krishna at the firm.
