Is rohan.co.uk Legit?

Recently ordered a coat from Rohan website. I found the website easy to use and ordering was straightforward. Delivery service was effective and I received my coat on time. This is the second Brecon coat I’ve purchased because I love my first one so much I wanted another in a different colour! Bring on the British weather - I’m prepared thanks to Rohan!

I bought a waterproof jacket 2½ years ago and was extremely happy that it kept me totally dry and also provided wind protection.Recently though, I was out walking in the rain and when I got home discovered I was soaking wet on my back from the neck downwards. There was nothing obvious to me to indicate why.I know Rohan create clothes to a high spec so I got in touch, more to ask advice, and was more than pleased with the service I received. From the initial, friendly response to my call (a real person from the go), to the explanation of what they could do, to the completion of the matter in a week. This included me posting the jacket to Rohan for inspection (they emailed a pre-paid, returns label), Rohan calling me to say the jacket was at fault and as it was only lightly used they would offer a replacement. Unfortunately that particular jacket was no longer produced so an alternative was suggested or I could choose an e-credit to the amount of my original payment to spend with Rohan.I went to my local shop (Southport), to see and try on the jacket they were offering me. Again, I had a very helpful and informative experience. After making my decision I called Rohan Customer Care to let them know. My jacket arrived the next day - brilliant.I was so happy with the whole Customer Care experience with Rohan. I have been a customer for a number of years and will stay so.

Have been buying Rohan gear for years, for travel in different climates, and for everyday wear, as the clothes are reliably comfortable, lightweight and wash and dry so easily: Rohan do not smother their products with unsightly branding, so are versatile, and look smart. However, i feel my favourite clothing company are cutting corners, and the materials are of lesser quality. Not so long ago Rohan offered 100 percent merino wool jumpers and base-layers, whereas the recent 'merino' products contain over 30 percent synthetic fibres. My main criticism however is that the company have ignored the customers requests to bring back the original boot-cut 'Troggings' and have left us instead with a lower waisted, stretchy jodhpur style which isn't even that fashionable anymore (for those who care about such things), as higher-waisted, wider- leg styles are back again. Rohan offer two leg styles in their 'Flex' jeans so why not in 'Trogging's'. Similar tweaks with the 'Roamer' trousers: Why? As a result, I haven't bought much Rohan gear recently, (except for travel accessories and back-packs, which remain high quality). I feel they don't listen to loyal customer feedback, and so sadly, have to give only four stars. If they ever bring back the original 'Troggings' i will be among the first to start spending again.

l bought a few items years ago but l decided to buy a whole complete kits as l was cruising from Iceland all the way to Japan, in the same temperate zone as UK. l found the light and waterproof trousers, merino shirts and light cardigan, waterproof jacket, linen shirts, UV shirts etc very light and easy packing and quick drying. l bought a complete wardrobe and it was over £800 and worth an investment. The style is suited for hiking and not suited for smart use as it is conservative and dated. But it does serve a function - very comfortable and suitable for cold weather. For the hot weather in Singapore, l prefer to use local shops for cheap stylish linen shirts and shorts.

I have bought Rohan kit for many years. But recently I have become quite concerned:- product quality has declined. Clothes are not as well made as they used to be- the product range has shifted. Less proper walking gear, more "urban sport look." The Chelsea tractor look ...- Rohan describe themselves "The original lightweight revolutionaries." I don't think that is true any more. Their ultralight range has mostly evaporated.I do hope they are able to recover their focus on proper walking gear. I can't recommend them, as things stand.

Bags are great pants and they came on time. It’s a shame you are closing your Manchester store, I don’t buy most things on line unless I’ve had them before and know what I’m getting.

I find that Rohan clothes are well made and fit me well.They last for ages, I have tops and trousers 30+ years old. I don't recall ever throwing any away they go to charity shops in the end. I think that they can also be returned to Rohan shops.Good value considering the quality especially in their sales.

I rate Rohan clothing very highly and have been buying it for literally decades. The online service is efficient and the staff in the shops are very helpful. Also the customer service side is good.

Very good service: my order was despatched promptly and I was kept informed of the forecast delivery. Unfortunately the jacket was not what I required: the free return service was very easy to action and my card account was quickly credited with the initial outlay.

Bought a Crossboarder jacket in the sale at the Durham shop. My size was not in stock but the assistant couldn’t be more helpful and sourced one at the Cambridge branch and had it delivered to my home - no charge - in less than 24 hours! Great service. Great jacket too!

Very disappointed the quality isn’t there and product doesn’t last just spoken to customer services and been informed thatJackets will begin to deteriorate after a number of years, as has happened to mine and is no longer serviceable.Won’t be purchasing any more Rohan products Not exactly as stated on web site Rohan products are designed and manufactured to be functional, comfortable, and durable. If they don’t live up to your expectations for any reason, we would like to know why.Plenty of other clothing suppliers this loyal customer of more than 15years will be going elsewhere in future!

Ordered trousers online. Returned them to Rohan shop as needed smaller size. Shop ordering correct size and sending them out to me. Brilliant service. Quality trousers in a range of lengths which is not always easy to buy. Will be shopping in Rohan in future!

After several years of regular wear, the zip on my favourite Rohan trousers broke. I rang customer services who emailed a pre-paid label and I dropped the package off at my local PO sealed in the only robust carrier bag I could find at home! Comms with customer services have been excellent and six working days later my trousers were returned by courier (DPD). Great way to extend the life of the product and save the planet. Oh yes, and all I paid was £10 for the replacement zip. Here's one very happy and grateful customer.

I bought a pair of trousers in the Covent Garden shop. A seam has started to unravel, when the trousers have only had light use. I sent the company a photo of the trousers and the seam. My husband paid for them and I can not find the receipt. Rohan will only issue a response if I mail the trousers back to them. I repaired them myself so I don’t want to do that. I would buy another pair if the company had been willing to offer a gesture of compensation. I find it unacceptable when I paid £90 and they are not interested in assisting me. I could even tell them the staff member who served me. Very poor customer service from a company who should understand that they should not behave like a two penny retailer if they want return customers. No wonder they dont get a good rating on this website.

Quality products and matched by quality service. Which is a refreshing change in today’s high street!

Many thanks to eagle-eyed Richard of your Cambridge branch who spotted that virtually identical-looking trousers were made in different places; Taiwan and China.Your staff are your best asset. If I were rating for staff alone it would be a 5.Please disinvest from China and move all your prduction to a country which does notkill prisoners by harvesting their organs to order while they are still alive and conscious.China is guilty of the most grievous human rights abuses.. If we did not trade with Germany in the 1930s we should not now be trading with China.

False claims of quality and product guarantee. Purchased a highly acclaimed (expensive) jacket and it failed to meet the basic standards of weather protection (claimed on the tag and blurb). On contacting CS, I was being educated on "layering" having climbed a few peaks!I am now declined returns as I have worn the jacket albeit for less than 30 minutes and it has failed miserably.What a total snob of a company, poor product quality and fails miserably on the customer services. Reading recent reviews below, I expect people to wise-up and deliver their judgement on falling standards.Totally wasted purchase of £119 at a discount!

Chichester Shop staff and rohan customer service were brilliant. I purchased a lightweight waterproof windproof momentum jacket, approx 4 years ago. This products waterproof lining is now deteriorating/ flaking. I feel This product is now definitely not waterproof. It retailed at over £200. The inner water proof lining wrinkled and flaked away around the hood so is no longer fit for purpose.

Will never be buying from this company again. Returned some items but never received the refund for one of them. Rohan disputed this was their issue and told me to contact to PayPal. I am owed £39 but give up ever receiving my refund.

Ordered products - came quickly as expected. But the returns process is painful. Really hard to read small print instructions, and the web site to print return labels does not work. Despite repeated attempts.Most companies include a returns label - but this company says it's free to return - they just don't mention it does not work !
