My recent purchase attempts with them resulted in my orders being cancelled due to "inconsistencies" with payment information, even after I sent in all their requested information verifying a legitimate purchase. Every order I place includes damaged books. Damage includes severe creases or dents, dirt stuck to covers, box cutter slashed covers and I even got a book with the cover not glued on. To make matters worse they expect the customer to take numerous pictures and practically beg to send back the trash they ship. I'll purchase elsewhere from now on even if it costs a little more. The only issue I have with RightStuf is the number of emails they send you... I purchased a large amount of Fate product through them since they are the only English distributor, and I was worried due to all the negative reviews out there. The box was well packaged with an inner cardboard frame to protect my expensive collectibles. For people who are complaining about their return policy, you need to look into the process of purchasing international goods. Most places will not refund you 100%/any of the costs due to limited editions and more. Don't blame Right Stuf... not everyone can act like Amazon

“Horrible shipment”

I literally receive my orders from amiami in Japan quicker than I do than this company and they are in the same country as me. Called and then they told me they are waiting for shipments from the warehouse? Why are you selling products not in your inventory already but claiming it is "in stock." So unprofessional, horrible ship times and seriously they never respond to emails. Just spam the phone number you will get a response.

“Rightstuf has always been slow”

I have ordered from Rightstuf from their catalog when I was a kid (talking Akira on VHS!). Their shipping speeds were always bad. I haven't used them in a long time with other websites offering the same products at better prices, shipping speed, convenience, etc. I decided to order a blu-ray from them since they had it for a few dollars less than Amazon.com. Unfortunately, their shipping speeds are still atrocious. Granted there was a holiday weekend, but it still took them 6 days to create a shipping label. My order hasn't even been shipped yet, it was ordered before the holiday and at the very least should have been shipped this past Tuesday, but it's not even there yet, I will be lucky to see it shipped by this weekend. To make matters worse, they are charging $4 for shipping one blu-ray! That is more than the media mail USPS rate! Needless to say I will not be ordering from them again.

I ordered more then 19 items off this site ship alone cost more then the items. Only received 5 of my items talk to customer report and Appeal a case. They never put effort to help and close the case every day if I do not respond with new information when I explain all the information I have in a email with photos. Was give a choice to get a refund after a few week with customer support but I would only received 14 dollar of the 40 I paid. Because 20 was for shipping fee for items that never ship and insurance fee for a items they do not want to replace. Tip for consumers:Would not recommend if buy small portions shipping is more then 50% your order and would take more the 14 day to arrive or pay more then 70 dollars to get shipped in 3 days. Rightstuf offers the best prices on Korean Dramas and Anime. They have a great selection and shipping costs are very reasonable. Navigation of the site could be better as in more organized but overall I love there selection and prices. I subscribe to their weekly e-mail and wish the bargain list was easier to read!

Recently I made a purchase for a ton of manga for around $265 which would mean id get free shipping and I got charged (without knowing) $374.64 from right stuff. I emailed several times but no response, I tried calling but no response even on business hours they still somehow weren't open or answering, and it been over 5 days since I've tried to contact them. Don't ever buy stuff from there period

I really like this site I bought from them a few times and they have nice prices. If you were to buy from the producers of the shows it would cost about ten times more. “Bad Shipping Policies”

I ordered four books as Christmas presents on 12/5. One was on back order. Their policy is if one of your items is on BO, they hold the rest until it comes in. “Attempted double charge, cancelled my order when they ran out of stock.”

I ordered an album 5 months in advance, was charged and paid in full. RightStuf tried to charge me again and my bank stopped the duplicate transaction. I had honestly forgotten I'd even ordered from them until my bank notified me of the attempted duplicate charge. RightStuf asked for my bank details showing that I was charged (advised by my bank specifically to not do this) and then cancelled my order when I refused. The album I ordered was out of stock on day 1 of release, so my assumption is that they don't even have one to send me - despite paying in advance. I'm in the process of attempting a charge back with my bank, and I've filed complaints with the BBB. I wouldn't trust this company with your card info. Side note, literally every 5 star review for them screams fake on Trustpilot. There's no reviewers with more than one review aside from the generic 5 stars they've given RightStuf. Tip for consumers:Don't use this site, it's a scam. They don't fulfill orders on time and if you have an issue with the way they process payments they just ban you and keep the money. Their verification step makes no sense at all. I provided all the evidence and they are not satisfied. Why is it necessary to verify to begin with anyway? It is 2019! It is even more frustrating when the staff has reading disability.

“Nice place to buy figures, customer support is God awful”

I have bought a few figures from them and spent a fair share of money. Their prices are pretty decent event though figures aren't eligible for coupons or free shipping. Their packaging is pretty good also. The issue that they have is their customer support. I need to contact them because I decided to buy an imperfect figure that was stated to be in perfect condition and only the box was damaged. When I received it, one of the twintails was broken off from the hair. This is when I found that their customer service is God awful and it makes me not want to use their site ever again to buy figures. It is extremely miss managed and they representative that I spoke with sounds like she doesn't even care. I was also lied to by one of their agents and I still haven't been able to return the figure and get a refund. “I was asked to commit fraud to make a return”

When I asked for a return authorization number for a duplicate item I mistakenly ordered, I was told I had to fill out their form first. The form is titled "claim statement - lost or damaged parcels" and requires a signature that includes the line "I understand the consequences of fraud as described below". I repeatedly tried to explain I was not talking about a damaged shipment, just a simple return. They still refused to provide a return authorization. My BBB case number is *******, which is still open.

Love this site! They have a very large assortment of anime/ manga merchandise and a lot of it is sold cheaper than what you can find in most places. Never had a problem with this site and I have ordered a few things from it.

“Waited 7 months for items”

I bought about 20 dvds and blu rays from them. Out of the 20 items, 2 was out of stock. I asked them to send those that were in stock, however, their shipping policy was to wait till everything in the order is complete before shipping out. Hence I had to wait for more than 7 months before I got my items. When I finally got all the items, I opened some and found fingerprints on the disc, which means to say the item is not new as advertised, either that, it must have been returned from a previous buyer, repacked and send to me. My advice is to take your business elsewhere.

“Horrible customer support, predatory business”

Do not expect to receive the item as depicted on their website. Images are just an example of what you'll receive, not a guarantee. I purchased a Blu-Ray disc that was shown to have a slipcover in the picture. Nowhere in the item's description did it say this would not be included. I have 12 other volumes of this anime on Blu-Ray and they all have slipcovers so now I'm stuck with this goofy naked Blu-Ray case. Customer support was unhelpful and directed me to a clause on their returns page stating that they do not guarantee slipcovers even if shown in the photo. This is predatory as very few consumers will read the returns page in anticipation of receiving a dud. “A SCAM! Atrocious website”

I made my order in September 2021. It's been 9 months. I still haven't received it. My order was one backorder book and 2 in-stock books. The backordered book was expected to take 6 weeks. It definitely told me a 6 week expectation. I remember it being written in small letters on the order page. It's been 9 months. Around the 5 month mark I sent them email asking: Can you partially ship my order? They said: No. Our policy says we are not obligated to do that. That was it. Now I am at the 9 month mark. I sent them another email, we'll see how it goes. This website accepts money for "backorders" I don't believe they ever going to receive. I think they know they are never going to receive them, hence the horrid policy. They steal your money and never give you what you ordered if one of your items are on backorder. And they get away with it because of their "policy." DO NOT give this company your money. DO NOT! Tip for consumers:DONT BUY ANYTHING THAT SAYS "BACKORDER." You will NEVER receive those items.
