Is revell.de Legit?

As others have said, indecipherable instructions. Kit I had was meant to be for beginners and INCLUDE the paints and glue. Why the heck would this idiotic company sell include 3 of the 8 needed glue colours in the kit is beyond me? So disappointing, never in my life will I buy anything from Revell.

The arrogance of Revell personnel is just stunning.I just built their ‘Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5’. As a former owner of an Aston Martin DB4 vantage, which was the actual model used in the film, they just did not want to either know or admit their mistake.Then the model does not even come with an engine!Yet the Revell Jaguar e and c types do. Visually and in model format the twin ohc Aston engine looks exactly the same as its triple carb Jaguar counterparts.The roof opening for the ejector seat is also incorrect. Were it to be such in the real James Bond car it would have killed all the occupants as it would not have ‘gone through the roof’.Revell need to study what Tamiya model cars offer. Their expertise and attention to detail is far superior.My recommendation to Revell is that they should learn to listen to their customers. I will not be recommending them to anyone.

I have just completed the model of a Shelby Mustang GT-H with my grandson. Admittedly , it was a tad too hard for him but he enjoyed doing some painting. This model took a fair few months to complete and during which time I lost a couple of parts (probably up the vacuum cleaner!) and so I contacted Revell customer service admitting my issue whilst also confirming it was my fault. Revell were exceptional in the response and sent both the parts as fast as possible from Germany at NO CHARGE. The model is finished and we will obviously buy another Revell to continue our modelling journey. Thanks Revell.de and UK

AWFUL product. The packaging promised more than the contents. The product was flimsy and tacky, the instructions were indecipherable - there was hardly anything in the box. I don't think I've bought such a disappointing product in my life. What a waste of 10 euros - it wasn't even worth 1 euro.

I bought a Revell kit of Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl for my grandson's Christmas present. He is 10 years old. I am a very experienced modeller; I am the Patron of an internationally renowned Toy and Model museum. To suggest that it is an easy click system capable of being used by a ten year old is ludicrous. The pieces do not fit properly even with my help. We have had to glue most of it. I will not buy another Revell kit.

I bought a Titanic 100th anniversary edition, unfortunatly, with a missing part (it's common in the model making sector). The Spare Parts customer service has prontly sent me the missing piece in a week for free (other companies make u pay for the part or dont give u anything) . Best customer service ever.

Unfortunately, this kit is most definitely not “easy click.”I’m an experienced model builder but many parts did not fit without filing and glueing . Eventually, I decided to bin the kit . Very disappointing and not what I’ve come to expect from Revell

Received 2 kits as Christmas presents, complained to Revell about poor instructions, thee is no wording, nothing clear on the parts as to where different paints etc meet. One model had parts that didnt meet up and was told by technicians the kit was faulty but nothing they could do, but I had to try to get to store to replace or get credit. Managed to get to store, most helpful, got replacement kit, again exactly the same issues and same response from Revell - basically no spare parts are available in the UK, nothing they could do. My grandchildren so disappointed they cant see the models they bought for me at Christmas. Would never look at buying another kit again without a massive improvement from Revell

I bought a Revell GmbH 1/8 Jaguar E-type model kit 07390/07717, and even though the box I received was sealed and brand new, I was surprised to find a group of parts missing and not included in the box. I contacted Revell GmbH but was passed around to several Revell staff worldwide who were clueless about the inquiry. Revell GmbH listed in the kit who to contact to get parts as well as their website but somehow the Revell staff has no idea what to do about my inquiry and could not help me. Revell keeps telling me that they have no available parts?After several weeks and several emails sent to different Revell customer service around the world, Revell finally sent the missing bag of parts on September 12, 2024 free of charge including international shipping. It is a lot of work to get this missing bag of parts but I am stuck with a non returnable item purchased internationally. If anyone has this same issue, just return the item with missing parts to where it was purchased and replace it with another item that is guaranteed complete.

I don’t build museum quality models, but I am quite accomplished, and have been building model kits for at least 30 years. I have built a few Revell kits in the past; and have had varying results with them, but the last 2 that I have tried to build have been utter rubbish. The Saturn V rocket ended up in the bin, and the USS Enterprise 05046 (CVN65) is heading the same way. The parts don’t fit properly, the mouldings are so old they should have been scrapped years ago. There is far too much flash, it’s actually not fit for purpose. Will I buy any Revell products again? Not Likely.

A screw snapped on my sons fire engine kit (his fault I beleive not due to product quality) so I got in touch with Revell to source a new part. They sent me two free of charge parts pretty quickly. Absolutely great service! I'll be being him more Revell kits due to their good build quality and great customer service. Revell, you've made my boy very happy now that he can play with his fire engine again!

Hawk T.1 very poor kit to put together canopy very poor fit undercarriage gave up completely with and decal why do they make raf roundel and leave you put red dot in center as for the red arrows version the under wing decal cannot be fitted as wing parts all in the way so cannot put them on so in conclusion very very disappointed in the quality of this kit

Revell must be the kaka of modeling! I am in the process of building Satern V rocket and the two halfs are at least a .032 off from each other. So what i see is level 4 means you gotta sand and sand and sand. Sand some more...JEZ! Not only that the ribbed sections! Sand that! An retired Precision Sheet metal mechanic i could of Bumped Rolled the two halfes with my 400 ton press brake and got it plus minos .005 ten max. Also you did one ring of ribbed section. Why not ALL? Dumd!

Spent £120 on a model. Unfortunately, it had a defective part. Revell customer service were unwilling to honor their warranty and send a replacement part. Therefore, I cannot build the model. Poor.

Very quickly replaced poorly-molded part free of charge with shipping paid for by them. Great company to do business with.

a key piece was missing from a Star destroyer and they sent it to me for free in a short time! Thank you!
