restofinisher.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives restofinisher.com a low trust score on the platform: 37.90. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Questionable. Controversial. Flagged..

We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 37.90 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to restofinisher.com's industry. The algorithm detected possible high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Questionable. Controversial. Flagged. tags above.

Long story short, we caution you about using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning restofinisher.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between restofinisher.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of restofinisher.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of restofinisher.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below.

A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

restofinisher.com is a questionable website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether restofinisher.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether restofinisher.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, restofinisher.com.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.

Are You the Owner of restofinisher.com?

If you own restofinisher.com, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.

When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.).

We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.

  1. I’m so glad that I did some research on this product before purchasing it. The advertising for it is imprssive but being scammed several times before caution is first and formost now. I got a email from Paypal (looked official anyway) saying my $5.00 off offer on a purchase of RestoFinish ends soon. Clicking on the highlighted link in the email it took me to their site. Flags went up immediately so I googled the brand name and one of the results was this site. Scam-detector confirmed my suspicion with the reviews and comments by others. In the same search I saw Restore A Finish sold by Amazon and others for about $10 and has 4.4 out of 5 rating. It sure pays to use caution nowdays. Thanks scam-detector.

  2. Unfortunately, I was tempted to purchase the “Restofinisher” product as specified. I even paid in advance. But as expected, no product has arrived now 6 weeks after payment. I have requested refund, but no reply from their support handler.
Not a large sum to lose, but nevertheless annoying and disappointing.

The product looked and sounded excellent. I decided to try a bottle and gave my credit card info. Trying to get out of the website, deal after deal for their products popped up. The last was an offer to ship my order safely and faster, for $9.95 on a $30.00 order. I tried to cancel but their phone number was continuously busy, and their support e-mail did not exist. I ended up having three charges on my credit card totaling more than $210. My credit card company from Capital One, gave me two choices, contact them to cancel, impossible, or send the items back for a credit. To return the items would need to be by certified mail to Canada, plus a hefty service fee on all returned product, as stated. What chance do I have that my return will even be accepted?

  4. Please don’t buy, it’s a bait and switch. They send you something that is way different from what you ordered. Luckily I got my money back from PayPal.

    1. PayPal has saved me from another scam. Then I started receiving emails supposedly from PayPal selling this stuff while trying to get my personal information. I also received supposedly emails from Amazon telling me where to send the money for a TV that I sent to an unknown person in Texas. I suspect that these emails were coming from the same scammer that PayPal saved me from in China.

  5. I received the product I ordered. It makes my dining table look better, with a high gloss finish. However, the box the product came in had no company name and no ingredients listed, no info except how to use the product. I will use this bottle but will not reorder.

  6. Definitely NOT some magic finish restorer as the “Restofinisher” name implies. Thought I’d give it a whirl, since it was advertised as natural. Can’t figure out how to attach photos here [Attention website administrator!], but if you google a pic of:
    “method
    WOOD FOR GOOD
    POLISH,”
you can see how the bottle advertised on the “Restofinisher” website is designed to trick you into thinking it’s a high quality “method” company product. It is NOT. In fact, when you finally get it, it doesnt look anything like the fancy method bottle they advertised. Instead, it comes in a generic looking bottle named “Wood Finish Restorer” – with no company name given on the bottle or the box. SO CHEESY.
The product itself is actually more like glorified vegetable oil – which i normally use to treat my wood chopping blocks when they get dry. This oil makes the wood look a little moister, but definitely does NOT restore the finish! What a shame we can’t attach before & after pictures on this website! A cruddy pic says a thousand words. Save yourself some moolah, time & headaches, and use vegetable oil from your cupboard instead . . .
Am planning to send this stuff back to China where it came from!

  7. I started to order the Restofinisher produce but got suspicious when page after page of extra products kept popping up as ‘one-off’ offers. I had filled in my credit card details but hadn’t pressed ‘pay’. So I started doing some research and decided not to order as it appears they may be somewhat ‘iffy’. But some time later, I’ve received an email thanking me for my order and giving delivery details. How can they do this?
