repco.com.au Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives repco.com.au a fairly low score on the platform: 20.7. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Suspicious. Unsafe. Doubtful.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 20.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to repco.com.au's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Suspicious. Unsafe. Doubtful. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning repco.com.au, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between repco.com.au and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of repco.com.au. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of repco.com.au, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. repco.com.au is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether repco.com.au has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether repco.com.au boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, repco.com.au.

website listed a product....not in store. When I went for something similar the useless guy could not help me with a better price. I totally wasted my time there.Repco is no better than
rockingham store refused a refund on a product that is obviously yours and was damaged and returned to stock before i bought it/ carb and throttle body cleaner only you sell. no pressure. staff person there tried to make me jump through hoops as i had no reciept for a three can purchase made only days before. pretty sure you can look back through the computer and see when three cans and nothing else purchased. / not happy jan. wont be back. im a mech and you lost a LOT of business over an $11 can
Customer service at the Rockhampton Store was disgusting to say the least. I have worked and managed and trained in retail and what I experienced this morning was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. The one star is because it was only way I could start a review .
I have purchased 2 of repo complete struts I wanted 4 for a 2003 Camry.Unfortunately they tell me that the only ones that are available are the left back and right front. Apperatly the are 6 of one and 9 of the others on back order and the factory won’t make any more.I would have thought that 2 more would not be that hard to add to the back order list.So I could have a complete set.I have disappointed that you are unable to helpPlease contact me and explain the problem.Thankd
When I drive away from Repco, my Mitubishi Challenger (MC), has a noticeable spring in it's step. The drive train, the electrics, everything seems better and I cannot decide if it's just purring because it knows very shortly with a new lower front left suspension control arm and joint being added that it's humming excitedly with relief or if MC is glad its not a sleep-over in a surgical ward (garage). I explained that no...Repco is more like a dispensary where you get healed by being treated in advance, but, if that were to happen, MC's mum and dad will be there too. Thanks Cheyanne for inspiring MC to admit this to me.
Rang Repco branch regarding Timken bearings and was told Repco does not stock this brand (website says otherwise). Salesperson then asked for the bearing part number and said it does not exist (Timken would beg to differ). I decided it was time to end the call. All in all, rude disinterested customer service. Pity as I have usually found Repco staff to be quite helpful.
Rude condescending customer support feedback. I wont deal with them again. Treated me like a child.
Repco supply a pretty much 100% imported product line - same as their competitors - the only ways to differentiate in that market are price and service. They manage to fail on both.Their prices are almost always significantly higher than Supercheap or Autobarn; example - these guys gouged me $15 for 5L demineralised water (its at bunnings across the road for $4.99).Their service is "generally" less friendly; though does vary from store to store obviously but the one near me is staffed by a miserable lot. Their sales are shorter - often over periods they aren't even open. And their range is typically not as good; but this is also subjective.Hate shopping there; always a last resort.
I rang to order a waterpump at Mildura store because none was in stock was told over the phone they could do a store to store transfer I said that would be great went in picked it up played went home and on the invoice I'd been charged $20.00 for inward freight I wasn't told about this when I ordered it and a little box 20 dollars that's wrong you should be told up front contact
I‘d give zero stars if I could for that terrible customer service. What a rude lady serving me. They were nice when my partner was there and when I went back alone to check because they didn’t take off 25% Boxing Day sale she told me lies that the policing compound is usually $260 even though we know that it’s only $67 normally as well… she was super rude just because I’m a young female thinking I don’t know my detailing products. Absolutely ridiculous, talking to customers about how great her pay will be today, she should not get paid at all for that service.
I recently travelled through Carnarvon WA on a around Australia caravanning holiday and had the misfortune of several problems. I contacted Repco Carnarvon and spoke with a gentleman called Rod. Rod could not have been more helpful. He sourced all my required parts and went above and beyond to get us back on the road. He then passed us onto the Manager Alex when he was transferred and Alex continued to assist us in the same manner as we had received from Rod. 5 star service from Manager Alex and Rod Carnarvon Repco.
Tried to open a trade account with Repco. You would not believe the hoops you have to jump through and the personal information you have to supply. I have credit cards and trade accounts at other companies, and not one has asked for half the information Repco wants. in the end it just became a nightmare and I gave up even saying ok just give me a cash account. all I wanted was access to the trade website and trade pricing. If I could give them lower than a one star I would.
I needed a spart part for my 30 year old beemer and not holding much hope of finding one I called repco Airport west store and was told they had one in stock.I picked it up took it home but it was the wrong connection for my model .Calling them back asking for a exchange or refund they searched again and found another part they thought would be the exact part I needed I headed back.I saw the part was exactly like my old one they apologised for the wrong order and allowed me to purchase it for half price which I didn’t ask for.I was so impressed with their eagerness to ensure I was totally satisfied . I will from now on try repco first from now on for any spare parts .Excellent service and professionalism .
I rang the Belconnen store and they said 'we'll have a look at the globe because there are different types'But when I went into Mitchell, they didn't need to look but then sold me the wrong type.I then had to return the bulbs. It's only tonight I realised they've sold me the most expensive headlamp globes, for a 15 year old runabout car.Instead of letting me know there was a cheaper option, they sold me the most expensive type of globe.$28 for one headlamp - the exact same brand and model that is available online, for $9 each. I'm not a mechanical person, I'm an ex-veteran and a pensioner. The difference is half my grocery budget for the week.If you can't trust people to give you a range of options, including the lower priced option, you can't trust them at all.Wouldn't recommend Repco, and will never use them again
Don’t order online with Repco – their online ordering system goes like this:- Customer orders online in Black Friday sale, pays in full- Wait one week, cancel order without giving any reason- Do not refund any money for 3 weeks- When customer asks about refund, say there are ‘issues’ and customer must go into physical store to process refund- Offer no apology or explanation for any of the above. - Sell same ‘discounted’ products at full price to another customer.
1. Sign up for Ignition Membership and get no membership number.2. You don't get half price delivery if you get a product discount using RAA, RACQ, etc membership number. But they don't tell you this.3. Fail to advise when a product ordered online is not in-stock and can't be delivered same day.4. They don't reply to email queries.5. Worst major on-line merchant I've dealt with.
Garbutt Store Townsville, not very customer friendly, some days you feel like you're an inconvenience. There is a feeling of unhappiness, very few staff smile, other are zombie like in actions. Even when phoning the store, the responses can abrupt and very unprofessional. In such a competitive market, one would think that customers should be treated how the staff would like to be treated. While I would like to shop at Repco as I have done most of my life, the other Repco shops are not as convenient, so I generally shop with the other businesses that are of a happier disposition.
This company is not what is used to be. In recent years I've had several of their products prove to be re-badged cheap stuff with a premium price tag. They seemed to have gone down the road of constant bogus 'sales' on products that are marked up beyond good value. As gold members we go through quite a few automotive products. The last purchase we spent $659 on "clearance" item for our truck. The same item was selling three months later at a new regular price of $200 less?? Feeling ripped off already? It's an increasingly common marketing trend that the likes of Kings and other retail peddlers use and it kills loyalty. Even as RAC members , one week you get a 20% special club discount, you look a week later and they're selling the same item to anyone at even less. Scammy. You may as well buy of ebay. We were loyal Repco customers for many years but it's just not reciprocated any more. Don't assume their huge discount 'sales' are good value. You can often find the same thing cheaper again elsewhere.
From the moment we walked in , Michael could not do enough to help. He was courteous, knowledgeable and awesomely friendly. He needs to be told what an asset he is to your team. We were chasing a few annoyingly small parts that he patiently helped us find.
I say a de-icer on Repco website, drove to Repco New lynn and was informed item is not available instore and I ordered online. After few days of ordering the order was closed and my money was returned. Then I went back online and saw the same de-icer but now, Repco has increased the price of the product from $11 to $16. How horrible is that practice? to learn that a number of products listed on the Repco site are actually out of stock (with no out of stock information on the site) OR that Rapco receives and refunds online orders and just to relist and hike the productprices? that's disgusting

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
