The title company RCN used added $2300 in broker fees AFTER I signed the closing documents. They all seemed very confused about how this happened and why I should be upset about it. I ended up feeling taken advantage of and manipulated. Won’t be doing business with them again.

My entire experience was challenging and their lack of who's on first made it hard to navigate. Everything from contracting to insurance policy coverage to getting real numbers to know what I needed to bring to closing was simple hard. The entire back and forth took over 2 months for something that should have taken weeks. There internal processes need MUCH improvement.

I would stay far away from this company. Last week, I signed up to do a cash out refinance loan. Everything was going great until I sent my file to underwriting. The CEO of the company reviewed my file and decided to cancel because of the location of the property? Prior to me submitting my file, I asked about this specific location (with emails to prove it) and received the green-light that the loan stipulations would remain the same. They decided to cancel at the last minute without giving me any explanation. You've been warned!

Initial rep was awesome...very attentive and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. But later in the process, there has been a problem with incorrect inspection report and wiring money which has been very frustrating. I don’t feel these reps are as attentive. I should have received my first draw last week, but still nothing.

RCN did a great job closing my loan. I was under the impression the process would be less stringent than a regular bank, but not so much. However, the timeframe was quick, esp considering renovation costs are built into the loan. Chris was great. Very attentive, thorough, and pretty spot on with information, timeframes, etc. I can't speak for the full experience until i request draws, and repay the loan. But so far, so good.

We've had two transactions with RCN. The rates seem fair and we enjoy working with this company, however we have had some delays in getting projects closed within the timeframes promised. Other than that the process has been fairly smooth and the communication is good throughout the entire process as well. Our only hope is that they could close transactions a little faster than what we've experienced. Hoping to work with them on future projects.

RCN Capital responded and closed our loan in record time! The only minor challenge centered around lapses in communication after the closing had taken place regarding some post closing matters. As a result some things took much longer to get answered than necessary. I would highly recommend this company and I look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

If you are looking for no communication, always on vacation, slow as can be responses or no responses, then you have come to the right lender. Having been in the real estate industry for years I have never seen anything like it. What a shame!

RCN worked well to close the deal. There were some hiccups along the way with my Title Company and RCN's closing office not communicating well, which put a damper on things, but we worked through it.I would add that some of the documentation on activities that would take place after closing(e.g. Draw Requests) could have been provided up front during the closing process so that the more accurate planning could be done before final submittal of all planning.

Communication zero to none on how the draw of funds will be handled. Inspector unreliable. Unable to draw on money appropriately to complete the rehab for a smooth process. Project on temporary hold to complete the rehab as RCN will not release the funds that we have paid out of pocket to the contractors.......

Dealing with Chris & Kim made the entire process simple and quick. They provided support and directions to bring the deal to closing. I was really disturbed at how this company runs their business. This company never returns calls or follow through on your loan. You have to call over and over to get ambiguous answers. I would tell anyone who needs a loan to close in an expeditious manner to never use this company or you will be greatly disappointed! If I were you and you use this company I would really advise you to have the time to baby sit the loan or run away from this company for sure!!!

I had an issue with my appraisal. Dana and her team did what no other lender would do- assessed the asset in-depth, forestall the closing and make it all happen. The process was quick, efficient, and professional. You really can’t go wrong with RCN; they've gone above and beyond with sincerity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. I want to single out Tiffany Walker, Jonathan Barney, and Roberto Caposella. who have made my job as a broker very pleasant in getting my clients into good solid programs and most importantly getting them closed in a timely fashion.

I recently completed my first loan with RCN for a property in Florida. There were no major surprises and the terms were not changed during the loan processing. What was told upfront was what I got. A special word of thanks to my loan officer (Chris Dorin) who was friendly, cooperative and responsive to my needs. He had a good understanding of the loan process and was able to explain it clearly. However, the Closing process took a little longer than expected and the Closing department was not very cooperative as experienced by my team. But with Chris and his team's help, we were able to move forward to Close in time.

I had a great experience working with Eileen Mazza @ RCN. I've worked with a number of commercial Loan Officers, both as an investor and a Real Estate agent. Eileen puts them all to shame with her work ethic and phenomenal communication. I won't be taking my business anywhere else now that I've been fortunate enough to close a fairly complicated transaction with Eileen.

Sure, the company offers some unique and valuable products; However, in my book, Eileen M. makes all the difference by her honesty, professionalism, kindness and effectiveness. She was able to close several loans for me in record time once appraisals came back. I felt she went above and beyond and valued my business.

We had a lot of paperwork during the process and closing was over two hours long and still didn't have enough documents completed. There is a lot of funding issues with who signs what when and it's very expensive.

The team at RCN is highly professional. You can rely on their performance to follow their word. They are organized, well staffed, and highly responsive to our requests. Their processes are well defined. Each team member we interact with is clear on their individual role and is flexible enough to accommodate our specific business needs. My Sales Executive Jeff Mallas truly cares about his clients. He makes the process easy to navigate through and is a pleasure to work with. RCN, unlike many lenders, fits their products to the client's needs rather than fit the client needs into their product. That is the biggest difference between RCN and other lending institutions. I will be working with them for a long time!
