Is raiffeisen.ro Legit?

Too bad the system won't allow me to give them 0 stars. I want to close my account and they ask me to go on their bank in order to do that. I live in another country and I can't do that. It's funny that you could open an account online but to close it you need to travel 3300 km or spend time and money to make a power of attorney for a someone in Romania and that person to spend again money and time just to close a bank account that u made online. Run away from this,,bank" !!!

Worst Bank in the world, i would say more: they are just doing what ever they want, no regulations at all...You could be 5000km away from your country, and they will just send you an EMAIL that you need to come to their bank so they will REVERIFY (what is not smart at all) your details, OTHERWISE THEY WILL BLOCK YOUR ACCOUNT! And this is not because some suspicious activity, but JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT SO one in 2 years.Also a lot of blocks, limitations... they think you live just to explain them how you spend your money and ask them if you can use your money...WORST EVER, NEVER AGAIN!

My husband is a premium client .And, probably for that reason he was denied the cards by poste in France. Three times he asked the account manager to provide this service. It was impossible. I have made a trip especially to Romania to collect the cards. Impossible! I was send to two agencies only to provide a French address written on a post it. They will send the cards. (after a lot of demands from the legal service, the hierarchy, and all that corporate procedures) by DHL in France, but no date or other information At the first agency they did not wanted to actualize my personal information saying the second agency will do it.Of course, the second agency didn't do it also. So, I do not have any card, currently I pay my living costs in Romania by bank transfer and I will collect the cards myself in France. In conclusion I have spent money, time and energy and 4000 km for nothing. Stay away , do not open any account at this bank. You will have a lot of problems.

If only I can give this stupid bank -1000 star!it doesn't work the online payment when you urgently need it, first time I called turns out they put my passport number wrong. ok waited one day for them to correct that, second day tried again, still doesn't work, and apparently the support line don't really know what's wrong, have to wait them to figure out what s wrong for few days. Imagine in a situation you really have to do the payment urgently and your bank won't let you do that. I will quite this stupid bank soon and tell everyone how stupid this bank is.

The worst bank I’ve ever worked with. Discrimination high level with people which aren’t Romanians - and the example is - they decide to close my account without any explanations because I’m Bulgarian citizen working in Romania since 6 years. The customer service and agents in the offices are 1000000% useless and only exchange the responsibility between them. Incapable people which haven’t been able to update my personal data for 6 years. For those years I have had 3 times my account blocked because they couldn’t update my passport data and now they close it and say “you are not allowed to open an account in out bank never anymore”. I won’t mention that on the 5th year of my staying in Romania I got there to update again my data as I’ve got permanent residence (from immigration services and police of Romania) and the idiot there was looking at my bank card and trying to convince me that I don’t have an account in their bank… or the fact they have sent my new Visa card to my Bulgarian address because they weren’t capable to find my Romanian address which has been provided to them at least 200 times..I won’t recommend this next Austrian crab not even to my biggest enemy!

we had 2 go twice to the bank in order to open an bank account for my british wife. Once there we had to fill the same questioners again like the first time because the lady behind the desk did someting wrong. on the second visit they said we will have to come again for the third time, we had to give tons of declarations and the bank representative looked like the didnt know what they were doing. shame! Im a romanian citizen with an account at this bank, but I will soon close it down as im not happy with them .

Apart from the fact that they are owned by Austrians, this bank charges a commission of 3 euros/month for each separate account, in each available currency!!! Also, they stress you with calls in case you happen to have debts (even if they value 4-5 lei), they threaten you, they place an attachment on your account. They also suspended the cashier activity, this is a big disadvantage if you want to make quick operations.0 stars!!! You lost me as a client.

The worst experience that a had in my entire life. I opened an instant credit card, activate it and after that it doesn’t work on online paymanents. I called the support for minimum 5 times, talk for hours and they only reset my password. I tried to explain that i need to place the order during the same day, due to a sale. They told me that the issue will be fixed until 17:30 pm, the card need to be enroled into 3D secure payments system … The payment still doesn’t work, after hours of disscusions and a lot of time spent in calls … Trash bank … i didn’t recomend it neither to my enemies …

Lack of communication, lack of interest of the employees to show at least that they are there for you, the client whose money produce profit for their wages. It's ashame that a foreign bank behave worse than old communist banks. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!

Exactly when you need your app it doesn't work, can't reset and I have noticed that 2 days out of 7 maybe you can use it. Romanians don't really read these reviews, but if you are a foreigner and even think of opening an account with them, drop the idea. I am abroad, non eu country and they expect me to call them from my Romanian nr, it is a JOKEEE

Hello im client of the bank. Recently i tried cash out my money from debit cart in ATM machine., temporarilly i live abroad , and my card was blocked. I left without money in a foreign country.I can not call becouse rouming cost 2 euro for call to Romania. I tried to call using skype, but bank support said me no u have to use your original romaninam number.Its crazy. if you have a conscience pls contact me. or leave masage here on facebook.

This bank is a legalized fraud !!!!Pay pay attention if you speak only english this bank is not for you!1) not exist support in english they will send email with general informatinnand only ask to go in your succursal 2) they charge cost that not exist and they not give reply about that they charged me 90 euro without reply now I lawsuit them3) if you use the app and give click to new account they charged 10 euro more every 15 days and you not have the possibility to close accounts so for life you will pay 10 euro more every 15 days

The worst ever bank. They blocked my money (block technic), promised to unblock and say "tomorrow" every day and weeks. The problem has not been solved yet! And.. this is for a premium account. The hotline is crap, if you choose English support + premium client in the voice menu - you'll get useless romanian speaker who could tell you: "we will call you back". They never call you back, just remember 😅Be careful with this bank, avoid and sidestep this bank!

I do not recommend them to anyone.. Suddenly closed my account while I was abroad and couldn't use my cards to pay lol. They said "We can close accounts to whoever we want", without any explanation, just suddenly closed. I was paying hotels, food, supermarket, online services, nothing illegal, just usual things... what a scam bank. If you think to open an account with them, DO NOT DO THAT! Their workers do not even know anything.And the "BEST" part: They are the most expensive in Romania, with absurd exchange rates (when paying in another currency) and absurdly high monthly fees...They say you won't be charged with monthly fees if you will use your card every month for even the smaller payment = LIE! You will be charged 3 EUROS / month for every Card you own (not account, but card).Stay away from them

Worst BANK ever. Call center can’t help you and they ask to visit a local place for closing an account. Their program is also weird, from 9-17 when everybody is at work. They also close to call in the middle of the process and when you call back they sais that there is already a closing process But they can’t continue because you have gave them wrong info and closed the call. Bunch of liars who just Take your money.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The worst bank ever! Customer service is a joke, they cannot give you any information if you don't call from the phone number they have on file.My mom has been living outside of Romania for many years and they're not giving her any information about her account unless she calls them from a cell phone number form 13 years ago that doesn't exist anymore!!! We even sent someone to the branch with a notarized document and they did non accept it. They want my mom to go to the branch in person in Romania. She is 75 years old and she has cardiac problems.Stay away from this bank! They are the worst!!! Do yourself a favour and never open an account with them!!!

to close an account you must go to a branch or give someone POA; so old fashion and not in keeping with modern times; bureaucracy at its best :(

The worst bank. App always blocking, customer support helpless, high charges, mistakes even on ATMs (the balance was showing something completely incorrect).... and I am not saying everything! So disappointed.

I went to Romania on August 2023;the employees from the Obor branch did my "actualization" and as a result,the machine didn't take my card anymore(it didn't recognise my Pin).It took them an entire week to give me a new card with a new Pin);they kept pushing me between the 2000star and themself without being able to solve the problem;after doing the "actualization",three weeks later they called me again to du the "actualization " because it wasn't correctly done from the very beginning;I had to leave the next morning,I put a lot of money in the account and now I am not able to pay what I need to pay for with the card I've got,because they don't know how to help me to do it from my account to others.They keep sending me to the apps which didn't ever worked on my Android in Romania,and much less in here.HORRIBLE SERVICES,INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES.I strongly believe that it is not legit;it is a"group" in Switzerland as owners of the bank;it is NOT THE AUSTRIAN RAIFFEISEN INTERNATIONAL BANK! It is a partially scam.We may loose our money.They are not trustable!!They got my money ,and I cannot use it!!!
