quayaustralia.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives quayaustralia.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 77.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Standard. Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 77.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to quayaustralia.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning quayaustralia.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between quayaustralia.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of quayaustralia.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of quayaustralia.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. quayaustralia.com is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether quayaustralia.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether quayaustralia.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, quayaustralia.com.

ALWAYS SEARCH REVIEWS FIRST - AND NEVER BUY DIRECT FROM QUAY

I have purchased Quay sunglasses for several years. 1. In-store: No problems (what you see is exactly what you get). 2. Quay (direct purchase) - Sunglasses has finger prints all over them (floor models, I am guessing) and one pair had a "foggy" lens (something was in the mirror tint that couldn't be polished or wiped away --> production flaw?) 3. Quay (direct purchase) - No issues. Mind you, this was MAY 2023 (** date is important because of what ensued) 4. Amazon - No issues (and if there ever are issues, 99% of the time, returns are a breeze with Amazon) 5. Quay (direct purchase; this was JUNE 2023 ** --- JUST ONE MONTH LATER): I had to buy new sunglasses because I lost the others during a trip). I purchased the same ones, plus an extra pair. As ALWAYS, I purchased size LARGE. What I got was size "MINI" (see the attached pic --- the labels are CLEARLY marked "MINI"). I disputed the charge with my bank after non-response from Quay, followed by stupid response from Quay (see below). Essentially, what they replied with was: "we changed the name of all the sizes. What used to be 'mini' is now called 'large' and large is now 'extra large'" This is between MAY 2023 and JUNE 2023 - and I was somehow supposed to know this? And why, then, was the virtual fitting THE SAME (showed the original "LARGE" on my face)? At WHAT POINT would I have been clued into a size-name-change? But do you think they apologized and offered to refund me EVERYTHING (including shipping)? You already know the answer to that question (Quay has horrible reviews on every major review site to include BBB where their rating is a D- and almost all the complaints are for jacked-up orders and returns). My email exchange with Quay is below. June 27,2023, I emailed: "Please review my order, below Compare that with what I was sent (attached pic). What was ordered were LARGE (all three pairs - see below) What was received was MINI (all three pairs received - see attached pic) I need to know how to return these and get a refund. Thank you." (( NO REPLY FROM QUAY)) On 28 Jun I emailed again: "Your return system is not recognizing my order number or zip code. If I do not hear back by tomorrow morning I will contact my bank and dispute the charges and seek refund WITHOUT a return. Please assist me with this return." On 29 Jun, Quay customer service (the infamous "Ben") finally replied: "Hi, Thanks for your email. We now offer new sizes for more faces, and to provide you with an easier shopping experience, we've updated our size names to Small through Extra Large. Currently, we have the following sizes available for our top-selling HIGH KEY sunnies: (Formerly Original) Extra Large 153 mm (Formerly Mini) Large 146mm While we phase out our old size names (micro, mini and oversized), you may still receive a frame with the old name on it. If that is the case, please be assured that it is still the correct size that you selected while shopping. Thanks again for reaching out! Cheers, Ben Quay Australia Customer Care Team" (( NOTE: I DID NOT RECEIVE LARGES - I RECEIVED WHAT WAS MARKED MINIS - AND THE SITE DID NOT INDICATE A SIZE-NAME-CHANGE: see attached pics of what I got as compared to what I ordered)) On 29 Jun, I made my final reply: "Charge has been disputed with my bank, CHEERS!" I think what "Ben" / Quay is REALLY trying to say is: "We are so sorry that we do not post on our site that we changed size names so that you have no idea that you are not getting what you think you are getting. You see, we've had trouble selling the minis and are WAY overstock. So, to mitigate our losses, we simply changed the size names so customers who order a 'large' think that they are getting what used to be large, but we really send them minis - tee-hee, tee-hee. And, even if you are successful returning them, we will STILL bill you for any/all shipping charges. CHEERIO! Ben(edict Arnold)" This company is made up of a bunch of JACKHOLES (since I can't post what I REALLY want to call them). Don't believe me? Look at other review sites: the product is generally good but Quay apparently decides what you are going to get - and you can't get all of your money back if you don't like their choices for you) What a professional business would have responded with is: "We are sorry for the confusion we cause via lack of clarity. You will be refunded the ENTIRE amount and not charged any postage fees. We VALUE you as a customer and hope to EARN your business again" **** DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM QUAY **** Tip for consumers:If you like Quay (the sunglasses are flattering and good quality), BUY IN STORE or BUY FROM 3rd PARTY VENDOR (like Amazon). DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM QUAY! Products used:NONE Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Protect Your Online Browsing From Installing Malware

After testing several fraud prevention products online, we could certainly say the winner is a browser extension called Guardio. It automatically blocks 100x more harmful websites than competitors and 10x more malicious downloads than any other security tool. It was tested and vetted by our Scam Detector team.

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. For Scam Detector readers exclusively, Guardio offers a 20% discount this week. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  4. Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.
