Flight was delayed, no apology given. Staff were extremely arrogant and rude. Flight was £300 more than cheaper airline. Paid for more expensive flight that resulted in flight delay and appalling customer service. I raised a complaint and rang them numerous times over 3 months ago. Still waiting for a response. Easy peasy! Really good compared to the airline I have been working with in the last few years. It is true that the standard is really low nowadays but It was really good.The staff onboard was super nice and taking good care of us (which I assumed mean they are better treated than in other airline where I had to deal with unfriendly person not to mention Plus Ultra).Also they took good care of my surfboard which arrived in one piece!
Don't book any thing with them, the customer care is non existent and they will make sure to complicate things for you as much as they can and not address the main issue. They enjoy routine and ask you for to prove things to them before even addressing the issue .. thing spoke sending a proof of relationship to the passenger and authority to speak on the passenger behalf .. what an appaling company to deal with.
What an awful experience with Qatar Airways. We missed 24 hours of our once in a lifetime safari holiday thanks to a missed connection in Doha. Our flight was late taking off from Heathrow - no explanations and no one spoke to us about our connection. Our next flight was still on the ground when we arrived but we werent allowed to board but were issued tickets for a completely different route 24 hours later with no explanations or apologies - we ended up taking 2 days to get from Heathrow to Lusaka. We were not allowed to have our bags and had to spend one night in Nairobi airport on hard seats, no access to lounge or anything. We have now been told that despite missing 1 day of our expensive safari holiday, we are not entitled to compensation because it was due to “an air traffic control problem”. Trying to get any help or proper communication with them is hopeless. This is our first and last experience with this airline. They ruined what was supposed to be a very special holiday. We arrived exhausted and upset and it took the shine off everything. Of course stuff happens but how it is dealt with is important. We just got the impression there is no care and no customer service. Very poor all round.
Dont buy from this airline, i fully paid a ticket like for months in advance from norfolk va to jfk and my wait was supposed to be like only 6 hours but they change the whole shit now i have to stay in jfk from 9:30 am to 1:30 am . Not like emirates !! Did 4 flights man to doha. Doha to phuket n back dreamliner to n from doha was lovely .the other planes were old and battered . Toilet handle came off in my hand broken tvs no remotes and robotic crew .only one tall mixed race calm lad Samuel stood out to us others were just mardy. Pilots seemed OK and loud n clear. Had no delays but damaged cases .left my glasses had no emails from lost property back ! Not a patch on emirates won't do them again
I booked a ticket for my father from LGW to SKT on November 16, 2024, but his flight at Qatar Airport was delayed by 12 hours. Initially, he was promised a hotel stay due to the inconvenience, but this was later denied because he does not hold a British passport. When I contacted customer service based India, they assured me they would help, but nothing was done. My 60-year-old father, who has limited English, was left stranded at the airport and is now suffering from back pain. I am extremely disappointed with Qatar Airways’ customer service; they do not live up to their claims. This situation needs addressing, as no traveler should experience such treatment.

The true sign of any company is how they treat you when things go wrong.Our flight from Sydney to Doha was cancelled after we’d sat on it on the apron for 3 hours.What followed was 24 hours of rubbish customer service, poor communication and hours of unnecessary hanging around.A hotel was provided but by the time we got in bed it was 3am and we were told we had to read an update on the departure at 7am.We got re routed on a 38 hour journey which I wasn’t happy with.We had business class tickets and there were seats on the later flight that was a shorter journey. The airline flat refused to re-book us onto this.Their live WhatsApp channel was useless with no replies, or just flat out lies.Then we were told at 10.55 that the rescheduled flight was delayed and to stay at the hotel. However the airline forgot to tell the hotel who promptly kicked us out at their usual check out time 5 minutes later.I’m glad they did as getting in front of a Qatar supervisor at the airport was the only way we got rebooked.When finally on board I was underwhelmed with the service. My wife had finished her meal before I even got mine. The turbulence was awful. Probably the worst I’ve experienced.This isn’t a 5 star airline. They need to stop spending money on adding to their airport at Doha and employ and empower some professional customer service operatives that you can actually understand on the phone.
I got severely burned onboard qatar flight(accidentally by flight attendant). Contacted customer service almost a month ago have been emailing ceo and wrote too but no help. I have a 2nd degree burn on my stomache and thigh for which im still in pain & I’m still being medically treated for. Maybe Qatar Airways will notice me on here …
Qatar airways canceled the flight and after 3 months and more than 20-30 calls (which each took 40-50 minutes) they still didn’t refund the money. At the end of each phone call customer service said you will receive money within 24-48 hours and it never happened ( they told me same thing 4 times so far). Also they just sent me one single email after flight cancellation and since that they never reached back to me, I had to always call and ask for follow up. Extremely disappointing customer care so far and I still didn’t receive the refund!
Sold me a ticket for thousands of euros, and then in the next days offered everyone else a 30% discount on flights. I overpaid by 1000 euros! When I spoke with the chat no one would escalate my complaint, had to find a hidden complaints form. The response was basically ‘tough luck’. I though Qatar was one of the remaining airlines who actually understood what’s service was, but I guess not.
Qatar Airways deliberately tries to avoid paying compensation in accordance with the EU Regulation!We were denied boarding on a flight from Doha to Copenhagen due to it being overbooked. We immediately filed a compensation claim in accordance with EU regulation. more than 1 month later Qatar Airways has still not responded. Been calling them every week and filed multiple complaint. We have flown with many airlines and Qatar is by far the best airline we have ever travelled with. We booked flights with ease on the Qatar website. Check in with special assistance was faultless. We were well looked after from check- in at Phuket airport to collecting luggage at arrival airport in Manchester and also exiting the airport. The whole flight experience was exceptional. The staff very friendly, caring and helpful. The aeroplane very clean and comfortable. The food and drink service superb quality. I would highly recommend Qatar airlines.I look forward to flying with Qatar airlines in the future.
We were supposed to travel from Orlando to Jeddah on Qatar Airways with stops in Boston and Doha. Unfortunately the Orlando to Boston flight got delayed and arrived to Boston after the Boston to Doha flight took off. We contacted the Qatar Airways customer service, which is manned by heavy-accented staff (seems in India). The staff follows very rigid and long verification, take a very long time to understand and have a polite “cannot do” attitude. The staff refused our repeated requests to talk to a manager who could help, and basically told us their other flights to Doha are booked for the next 3 days. When we told them we cannot wait that long and want to go back to Orlando, they said we need to book the flight back at our expense. They also said the flight from Orlando to Boston will be deducted from our refund!! So not only they got us stranded at a connection airport, but they also refused to help us get back home and want to charge us for the first leg of the trip! Oh and our luggage stayed in Orlando, so we were stranded without any spare cloth and other necessities!

“The worst flight”
The reception by an employee was the worst I have ever seen. She took my passports and my bag and delayed me on purpose. Then she said, "The time is up." She was very rude and racist. Me, my 2 years old son, pregnant wife missed the flight because the duty person in Dhaka Airport on Qatar airways desk, could not tolrate I went back to help my wife out of Car. Whole Dhaka city was stopped for 4 hours coz our all mighty PM wanted to move. We the normal people were late. The Civil aviation authority also requested them for us to take. But that certain HERO did not let to get onboard. It was still good one hour. Lost faith in Qatar airways. I had to pay almost one Thousand euro get re booking. We will never use Qatar airways again.
“You may not get what you paid for! Be warned”
Booked four flights on Qatar in their world famous best ever Business Class Q suites. Ended up being moved on to British Airways for one sector // yuck/ and ended up travelling Q suites only once out of the four bookings. Will never be booking on Qatar ever again. YES...the Q suites is lovely.but one sector we were put on a plane so old it did not even have flat bed seats! So be very careful that you know what you likely to actually get. One other passenger wrote a review on Qatar.he booked eight sectors in Q suites and actually only travelled once. It might appear that they are advertising some thing that they just don't have the capacity to deliver... Anyways i will never find out...as they have joined the list of companies not to spend my very hard earnt money on.. Had a flight Singapore-Doha-Berlin in Dec. 19. Was perfect! The cabin crew was very attentive throughout the long flight, offering water and orange juice often. Good selection of movies was available.

“Blackmailing”
My friend came over from Thailand to Belgium on October 4 2020. He was checked in, so were his bags and he was ready to board. Then, suddenly, a flight attendant of Qatar Airways denied him entry to the plane. She said he needed to buy a return ticket to Thailand. He explained to her that, with a cohabitation visa a return ticket is not needed. But still she demanded he would buy one. We had 15 minutes time till the gate would close, so we had no other option to buy him a € 500 return ticket that we would never use. Now, after more then 5 months and numerous complaints and explanations Qatar still refuses to refund us this ticket. Eventhough we also bought an insurance which would give us full refund and we are well within the regulations of that insurance. I guess they treat us this way cuz we are gay. Qatar Airways is a great airline, I have travel with them from Beirut to Guangzhou with a stop over in Doha.The service was excellent and well organized during boarding and on board, food was great, nice hostesses, There was WIFI on board so you can chat with friends and family, entertainment on board was excellent. Doha Airport is very huge and well decorated, with amazing duty free. Our trip from Doha to Guangzhou was in Airbus A380-800 plane which is a huge plane ( i think the biggest in the world for the moment).

Recently I had 4 Qatar Airlines flights and the service was awful. 1 Star, instead of advertised 5 Star Airline. 1.) All 4 flights arrived later than scheduled. 2.) Only had 1 meal choice instead of listed 3 meal choices, even when sitting front rows for all 4 flights! Unacceptable 3.) Checked in luggage did not arrive in same plane, but 3 scheduled flight later in the evening instead of noon time, when I arrived 4.) In Doha, Indian ground Qatar staff told us run to your connecting flight if you want to fly,! Otherwise we have booked next flight for you (4.5 hrs later). Other airlines provide electronic carts for passenger with short connecting times. We had to run for 15 minutes, because connecting flight was very far from arrival gate. 5.) Majority of Qatar ground staff, flight attendants, online customer service are now South Asian (Indians, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan). Understandable that they are willing to do same work (with slave contract) as other nationalities for half salary, but their attitude and work ethics is poor. On the plane Thai, Vietnamese flight attendant served 2-3 aisles, while fat, disinterested Indian attendants chatted or were standing. Not to mention South Asians thick accent. Qatar Airlines = Indian Airlines in terms of service quality now. 6.) During 3 flights it was very hot in the cabin and in 1 it was freezing. Seems temperature control is not working and not maintained. 7.) Emergency aisle exit rows usually have extra leg room. However our emergency exit row aisle was narrow and top of that the seat were not fully reclinable due to being in emergency row! Very uncomfortable! Should offer partial refund or free duty free for inconvenience. 8.) On flight entertainment screen 3 out of 4 flight had problem either with sound or touch screen. Should replace faulty units. 9.) Instead of spending all money on FC Barcelona advertising Qatar Airlines should spend more money on training, recruiting and service. 10.) Doha airport is expensive and very average, boring place. 11.) Airport check-in lines are few with long lines for economy passengers! Qatar Airines seems only cater for first class passengers and the other flight classes are neglected to the max. Deterioration of service standard clearly visible and experienced. It is time to switch to Emirates, Etihad, Cathay or other European Airlines.
