We came up with the 92.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to purplebricks.com's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Trustworthy. Quality. Safe. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning purplebricks.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between purplebricks.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of purplebricks.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of purplebricks.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. purplebricks.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether purplebricks.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether purplebricks.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, purplebricks.com.

I had an excellent experience with Purplebricks! The entire process is smooth, efficient, and stress-free from start to finish. The team is professional, responsive, and always available to answer any questions or provide guidance. They clearly know the market well and offered valuable advice at every stage.
We were very lucky to have Sarah and Mark Turk helping us sell our property. Nothing was too much trouble, they were contactable at all times so communication was excellent, making us feel reassured that we were heading in the right direction every step of the way.
Kayley faulkes helped me amendsly going through the sale process .. I found it very stressful not ever selling before , kayley was amazing full of knowledge and made it easier for me to understand guiding me through it . Please acknowledge ceo how wonderful she is. Professional and with Such a caring nature ..happy and without her help I dread to think how more stressed I would of found it. Novice to Internet etc. Thanks again kayley for your kindness today too xxx
First time using PurpleBricks (and indeed selling a house!). Cannot fault Shaun Fitzgerald or the Purplebricks experience. He has been knowledgeable, patient and really responsive to messages (including late evenings). Really cannot fault the quality of the service - everything was turned around at pace. Thank you so much Shaun for helping turn what feels like a really scary experience to a manageable and supported one.
Purplebricks has been a disaster. They don’t call potential buyers or follow up on Rightmove requests, expecting buyers to jump through hoops to book a viewing. This likely puts many off, and they never explained this before selling us their package.A month in, they told us to drop our price drastically—down to what we paid two years ago, ignoring the renovations and real value of our home. Their lack of effort and professionalism means we’ll likely switch to another agency. Don’t waste your time with them!
It was just so simple, made contact on line, was booked into a Whats App viewing and show around on a set date and time. Received a call at said time, did the show around, got the valuation, which was about in line with what I expected. I needed to know the value now, while the date of my move needs to be scheduled in around schooling choices. It was quite a thorough viewing on the phone, all rooms, and gardens thoroughly 'viewed' on Whats App.
A huge thank you to Sarah and Mark Turk for their incredible help in selling my house. Selling is such a stressful ordeal but their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile have made all the difference. I would highly recommend them. Many thanks again. V.
Denise Glover of Swindon provides exceptional customer service. I called her and she even answered on her day off bless. This is testament to her commitment to customer service. My request was actioned within 5 mins. A bubbly and cheerful estate agent. Thank you Denise 🙏🏻
Booked a valuation on evening. Rich arrived promptly the next day. He took measurements and spoke politely in his assessment. Seemed knowledgeable.Ge went away did some more research on the local market and sent my the house valuation later that very same day. He also sent details of other local similar properties as comparisons.Very efficient.
The company fails to fulfil its obligations as per the fully managed package deal. They do not handle maintenance or repair work. They do not carry out bi-annual property reports and inspections. But they do deduct £270.00 every single month for the job they do not do. I hope that after this review I will be able to speak to someone from a senior management team. It is very sad that I had to come to Trustpilot again.
Fantastic experience throughout. I spoke with Joseph Hall, who was amazing. He had great knowledge of the housing market and his research prior to the valuation made it a very easy process. Highly recommend him and purple bricks as a company
Could not recommend Emma Tunn and Tim Wickham enough- (estate agents). Emma went above and beyond to support me with my sale, and helped me secure an offer within a week so I could keep my offer on my dream flat. From the moment I rang her to the moment I got the offer she lead the process with skill and enthusiasm. Tim was honest about my valuation and responsive when I needed advice on the advert. A great team!
The agent was in communication with us and turned up for the valuation. She was very positive about the property and gave us answered on what best to do and not do before selling. We very much like the way everything is online and that people can view my property and get all the details, from the comfort of their own home.
This company charges for ID checks which are not necessary to have every year. They contract out to a third party and tis is not standard. They have cited this is the legislation and regulations but that is not correct. The yearly £80 charge is excessive. We signed to this company in 2021 but were taken over and the service as been horrendous. Staff go missing and don't respond to emails sent. Then they shift account managers around so as to avoid getting overloaded staff. Really poor service now and we are reverting back to the traditional estate agent though this will cost us dearly. The stress and uncertainty of dealing with PB have made them unusable. This charge was the last straw and we were not informed contractually of the changeover when the company were bought for £1. Charming .
We had a visit/valuation from PurpleBricks, I was somewhat skeptical after reading some online reviews. We met with Joe, he was absolutely brilliant! Straight forward and to the point, couldn't fault him. We put our house up with them (Aug-24), and chose to manage the appointments ourselves due to work commitments (the fee was reduced for this option). This was super easy and convenient. We managed to secure a buyer within a month. We moved 13th December! Very happy with their service and saved a LOT compared with high street estate agents. Thanks for a great service 👍👍👍
Extremely rude staff. Twice i tried to book a viewing and furst time they said book it yourself online and hung up without any explaining. Second time today, called for a viewing lady started asking me a million questions which I happily answered and then she wouldn’t let me book a viewing for the property without booking a meeting with THEIR mortgage advisor. Told her i do not need it, as i have my mortgage sorted and she just hung up. Literally I hate using purplebricks. It puts me off of a property when i see it is purple bricks selling it. Disgusting behaviour.
Very professional service without putting us under pressure. Dean explained the different options clearly and was able to answer any questions. Will definitely consider using Purple Bricks if we decide to go ahead with the sale of our property.
Denise Glover showed us round a wonderful home in Swindon yesterday. She was really friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the property. She was able to answer any questions we had and even made suggestions too. Thank you so much!
I would give zero stars if I could!!Everyone couldn't be nicer and easier to contact... Until I received an offer. Then it was like nobody was interested in helping me. Firstly, somebody declined an offer without my consent, left me a voicemail meant for another customer, then I waited over 6 weeks for the memorandum of sale. Communication was shocking throughout. We nearly lost our own purchase due to all the delays.
For such an expensive purchase you should get a more personalised service. Out negotiator was nice enough but don’t think ‘we don’t get involved in any discussion on that’ is a good enough response for any element.

“Please don't let out your property with Purplebricks”
Purplebricks encouraged me to let my flat out to a Canadian company. I'm now owed over a year's worth of rent and I'm having to go through the court process on my own as they have offered zero help. They also don't keep the property keys securely and would therefore be unable to help you in an emergency. Not to mention that their customer service is shocking. They now won't even let me exit the contract without charging a fee despite leaving me in a horribly stressful situation. Take it from me, just pay to use a half decent letting agent. “Purplebricks are scamming you!”
Purplebricks is a scam Purplebricks is a scam. Avoid dealing with them. They are not estate agents in any capacity, they are just a marketing company, they just put your advert in a couple of websites and then, when u don't have any viewings for selling your property, they make fake viewing appointments (that usually are cancelled at last minute or noone comes for a viewing but they in their app they put it down as attented) until the 14 days period passes so u can't ask your money back. I complained many times and vague answers. I ever even got a sales board and when I complained about that too they offered me £75 compensation that was Never paid to me! And then they disappeared and not replying to my emails. Don't waste time and money with scammers like Purplebricks Tip for consumers:Avoid them at all costs. Customer services don't bother responding to you Products used:Flat sale Service Value Quality
“Five star rating for our agent”
Our house was sold within 48 hours of listing at more than the asking price, thanks to our knowledgeable and patient agent Kathy Bradford. Escrow closed on time with minimal hiccups. We were very pleased!
“0 stars”
The lady with curly hair. Checking her damn phone while on the 401. Makes your company look like complete $#*! when she is swerving through traffic. Scary to experience. We honked at her and she did not bat an eye. Products used:She scared the $#*! out of anyone driving by her. Checking her damn phone while in the 401. Is she stupid???
“Delivered what was advertised”
Problem with purple bricks is if you live In a town of twenty thousand or less all real estate agents will boycott bringing anyone to your property. Strictly pure greed they do not want a low commission company cutting into there monopoly of gouging you. Therefore it becomes hard to sell in a slow market
“Do not touch this company it's a scam!”
Paid for the higher service where we were promised a local agent to do the viewings and contactable at the end of a phone if you need them. Haven't been able to contact anyone since we signed the contract, no response to calls or emails over the last 2 months. The complains department are apparently so busy they can't deal with our complaint. This company needs to be investigated as they fall very short of any service. Products used:Selling my property Service Value Quality
“Just Wonderful!”
Sold our house in 3 weeks! The process was flawless and PurpleBricks brokerage did everything what listing agent would do and for a small flat fee saving us thousands in commissions. Their booking system is amazing and fast & easy to manage, and it gave us opportunity to deal with private buyers ourselves. Special thanks to Jacquiline Benn from Offers Assist who did a great job all along until the deal was finalized and final documents forwarded to lawyers. After this experience would never use real estate agents again. Thanks to PurpleBricks wonderful team!
“Just plain terrible, you get what you pay for.”
No brick and mortar company, Agents are dispatched from a local pool and not reliable, they put your house up on 2 sites but don't offer traditional Real Estate Agent support, if you want that you have to pay extra, just go with your local Agent who knows the market and what they're doing. It could be the difference in selling your house or not. My property is still on the market for 9 months now, the sign purple bricks put on the house id hanging by one hook and they have not even come out to fix it. Stay away!
“Careful - you get what you pay for!”
Tried Purple Bricks - agent who came to House was a very pushy salesperson. Got me to sign up for purchase assist etc. The market analysis they did was awful. Priced my property incorrectly and I the interest level was none. Agent argued with me on the phone with changes I wanted to make. Here's a tip if you decide to use them - NEVER tell them you already bought another home. You'll probably get better service if they think they can represent you for a sale in the future. Now that's I've gone through this, I can see why they closed in the USA.
“Kijiji is better than PUrpleBricks”
If you can sell your property with PurpleBricks, you can sell on Kijiji. The only time they answer your calls and reply your emails is when they are selling their service. Once they get your money, they disappear. Well, in our experience, they did not disappear. They came back to say, here is a viewing request, go show yourself. Huh? We paid for the service, what are you talking about? Oh, we don't cover that area, there was a misunderstanding. No interest at all since this incident, just wasted our money. Stay away.
“Purple bricks”
First agent we had was fired, next 4 agents within a week or 2 of each other quit, the last agent never called us, ever. The property was advertised with many mistakes. We wasted about 8 weeks with purple bricks will never suggest PB to anyone...
“Bad website”
The search for zip code is not working and its writing out. As well when you try to use the function "send email to local agent" no one gets back to you. Not sure how these guys will work with me one I retain them to sell my house.
“No communication, poor customer service”
Down right useless, trying to get hold of anyone directly is a waste of time, they do not seem interested in your business once the property is on the market, there is no real customer service, you constantly have to phone them or email them to move even the slightest things forward, don't be lured into there "cheap" selling gimmick if you want to sell your property I would avoid these like the plague, just a bunch of cowboys, once they have your money you go right to the bottom of the pile Service Value Quality
“Using a normal local Realtor not these!@$!$@@”
I had to sell my place and I used purple bricks and honestly. It made me feel like a moron. I wanted to kick myself. I had 2 deals fell through be the agent didn't know how to properly qualify the buyers. I had to fired them. I hired a local real estate broker at the traditional 6% (which I didn't want to do at first) however, I got it sold in 2 weeks and for above asking. I guess its true you get what you pay for. Don't use purple bricks unless you don't care about your biggest asset. It's clear most of the people feel the same here. Service Value Quality
“They Suck!”
Inexperience, they dont return calls or emails. Area rep ignores my complaints. LIES LIES and more LIES! They will tell you they heard or were told, but never give you anyone's names or number to verify what they say is accurate. They make things up and say another agent told them. Just all around bull$#*!. Go to a more experienced Realtor who has done this and knows the business.
“Liars!”
They will lie to you that no viewings are available for weeks on a property, then will message you the day before your viewing to tell you that the property has been sold (not sure how this would be possible if no other viewings were taking place). Have lost my dream home because of this company's absolute incompetence at the simple task of arranging a viewing Service Value Quality
“Get what you pay for - nothing”
I have clients that were enticed by the service and hoping to save "thousands" - LoL. Their market and property was too unique to be sold in PB style. They got a listing on MLS and nothing else. They complained about support and help and were told it was the market climate and they just have to wait it out. Needless to say, my clients learned a valuable lesson and are now back to the full-time professionals that are fully engaged and active daily!
“Horrible stay away.”
Made the mistake of using purple brick to sell. Figured houses selling themselves. Might as well save thousands. Had pictures taken with an iPad. Some pics looked yellow. Was on the market for a week watching everyone house in my neighborhood have people lined up for showings. While I had 1 all week. Came to my offer date with no offers. Fired purple brick. Listed with an agent next day and sold well over asking in less than a couple hours with a bidding war. Believe me I wish it worked cause I wanted more money in my pocket. But clearly agents do not bring clients to purple brick listings and protest them. Do not waste your time or money. They don't even list your home on your home board. Only Treb. Big problem. Tip for consumers:Do not use them Products used:Real estate service
“Unfortunately cannot provide 0 stars.”
Unfortunately cannot provide 0 stars. We had the worst rental experience with the letting agent (Tyrone) who would think only about his TrustPilot review and the whole issues we had. They respond once a week even though now it has been at least two weeks that they don't respond. They wouldn't provide the landlord details and won't fix anything that is supposed to be a duty of the property management. I highly don't recommend this agency as they are completely unprofessional, they hire people that doesn't know how to read an email or would ignore your emails and let you repeat yourself on the phone when you call them. A big bunch of clowns to be avoided and specially because they are based in Birmingham and since they are not local, they have no idea what is going on and they don't care.
“No commission if not sold.”
All commissions from any real estate co is negotiable no matter what they say. You are in charge. Never ever sign a contract to pay if your property does not sell. That is foolish. You decide the listing dates. 2 wks exclusive to see what they can do. 2 wks more with multiple brokers/agents. 2 wks more to see if they are showing and give you feedback. That's six weeks. If progress isn't make. Cancel. All this should be in a written contract or don't hire them. This gives you control and a way out without being at their mercy and holding you up for months.
“Don't waste your money and time”
House was listed for a month with no movement. Poor quality pics with A handful of showings but very few agents would bring clients through. Some potential clients refused to deal woth PB due to complicated offer process etc. Listed with local real-estate agent and house sold the day before it went on their site. Literally sold the before the sign was even put on the lawn. So PB obviously does not work in smaller towns.
“As a buyer, purplebricks is horrible to deal with”
The agents do the bare minimum. As a buyer, they wouldn't answer any questions or return calls. My agent had to call numerous times and ask questions over and over again. They wouldn't even get the sellers to sign the form to decline/accept/counter offer. Potentially lost out on a great home because lack of communication. I understand that the buyer is saving in commissions but at what price? Having the home sit on the market for months and when an offer comes in they don't even care to reason or educate the seller on market trends or give them advise on next steps. Very disappointed
“Don't Do It”
They make you pay upfront before they will even book an appointment with an agent. That should have been our first clue to run. So we pay $799 + HST, then they tell us they are booked out a solid 2 weeks before they can even see us at a reasonable time. By taking time off work, I was able to get the appointment at 10 days. They took pictures, then tell us after assuring us the fact we were moving at the end of the next month was okay that we have to pay another $399 + HST for OfferAssist so they can handle showings since we would be out of province. 4 months goes by without an offer. They say pay again to renew your contract. We find out they haven't shown to any of the private buyers requesting showings because "they didn't have any agents available in the area". Never again. Don't do it. Can't say enough bad about this company.
“Caveat Emptor”
A very young real estate agent came to my home. She was very nice. I never received a call back from her to follow up. That was the first red flag. Secondarily I received a call from a director who left a message asking for my feedback. I called him back and texted and have never received a reply. That was the second red flag. All in all I would rate this experience very poorly. Their business model says they get paid whether they sell your house or not. The third red flag. I have also looked online to see other reviews and it all points to a very bad experience. I will look elsewhere.
“Worse company I've ever used! Hands-down!”
Never, Never, compromise experience sale personal, to green horns, Who don't know how to protect their. Client interested! And only are interested in the sale or purchase of your home.! Means lose of thousands and all the headaches you get with purple crap! Products used:Used reality serves Service Value Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
