purplebricks.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives purplebricks.co.uk one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 91.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Trustworthy. Quality. Safe.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this high score? We came up with the 91.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to purplebricks.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Trustworthy. Quality. Safe. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning purplebricks.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between purplebricks.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of purplebricks.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of purplebricks.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. purplebricks.co.uk is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether purplebricks.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether purplebricks.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, purplebricks.co.uk.

I had an excellent experience with Purplebricks! The entire process is smooth, efficient, and stress-free from start to finish. The team is professional, responsive, and always available to answer any questions or provide guidance. They clearly know the market well and offered valuable advice at every stage.
We were very lucky to have Sarah and Mark Turk helping us sell our property. Nothing was too much trouble, they were contactable at all times so communication was excellent, making us feel reassured that we were heading in the right direction every step of the way.
Purplebricks has been a disaster. They don’t call potential buyers or follow up on Rightmove requests, expecting buyers to jump through hoops to book a viewing. This likely puts many off, and they never explained this before selling us their package.A month in, they told us to drop our price drastically—down to what we paid two years ago, ignoring the renovations and real value of our home. Their lack of effort and professionalism means we’ll likely switch to another agency. Don’t waste your time with them!
First time using PurpleBricks (and indeed selling a house!). Cannot fault Shaun Fitzgerald or the Purplebricks experience. He has been knowledgeable, patient and really responsive to messages (including late evenings). Really cannot fault the quality of the service - everything was turned around at pace. Thank you so much Shaun for helping turn what feels like a really scary experience to a manageable and supported one.
Kayley faulkes helped me amendsly going through the sale process .. I found it very stressful not ever selling before , kayley was amazing full of knowledge and made it easier for me to understand guiding me through it . Please acknowledge ceo how wonderful she is. Professional and with Such a caring nature ..happy and without her help I dread to think how more stressed I would of found it. Novice to Internet etc. Thanks again kayley for your kindness today too xxx
It was just so simple, made contact on line, was booked into a Whats App viewing and show around on a set date and time. Received a call at said time, did the show around, got the valuation, which was about in line with what I expected. I needed to know the value now, while the date of my move needs to be scheduled in around schooling choices. It was quite a thorough viewing on the phone, all rooms, and gardens thoroughly 'viewed' on Whats App.
A huge thank you to Sarah and Mark Turk for their incredible help in selling my house. Selling is such a stressful ordeal but their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile have made all the difference. I would highly recommend them. Many thanks again. V.
Denise Glover of Swindon provides exceptional customer service. I called her and she even answered on her day off bless. This is testament to her commitment to customer service. My request was actioned within 5 mins. A bubbly and cheerful estate agent. Thank you Denise 🙏🏻
Booked a valuation on evening. Rich arrived promptly the next day. He took measurements and spoke politely in his assessment. Seemed knowledgeable.Ge went away did some more research on the local market and sent my the house valuation later that very same day. He also sent details of other local similar properties as comparisons.Very efficient.
This company charges for ID checks which are not necessary to have every year. They contract out to a third party and tis is not standard. They have cited this is the legislation and regulations but that is not correct. The yearly £80 charge is excessive. We signed to this company in 2021 but were taken over and the service as been horrendous. Staff go missing and don't respond to emails sent. Then they shift account managers around so as to avoid getting overloaded staff. Really poor service now and we are reverting back to the traditional estate agent though this will cost us dearly. The stress and uncertainty of dealing with PB have made them unusable. This charge was the last straw and we were not informed contractually of the changeover when the company were bought for £1. Charming .
Extremely rude staff. Twice i tried to book a viewing and furst time they said book it yourself online and hung up without any explaining. Second time today, called for a viewing lady started asking me a million questions which I happily answered and then she wouldn’t let me book a viewing for the property without booking a meeting with THEIR mortgage advisor. Told her i do not need it, as i have my mortgage sorted and she just hung up. Literally I hate using purplebricks. It puts me off of a property when i see it is purple bricks selling it. Disgusting behaviour.
Fantastic experience throughout. I spoke with Joseph Hall, who was amazing. He had great knowledge of the housing market and his research prior to the valuation made it a very easy process. Highly recommend him and purple bricks as a company
Could not recommend Emma Tunn and Tim Wickham enough- (estate agents). Emma went above and beyond to support me with my sale, and helped me secure an offer within a week so I could keep my offer on my dream flat. From the moment I rang her to the moment I got the offer she lead the process with skill and enthusiasm. Tim was honest about my valuation and responsive when I needed advice on the advert. A great team!
The company fails to fulfil its obligations as per the fully managed package deal. They do not handle maintenance or repair work. They do not carry out bi-annual property reports and inspections. But they do deduct £270.00 every single month for the job they do not do. I hope that after this review I will be able to speak to someone from a senior management team. It is very sad that I had to come to Trustpilot again.
Probably one of the worst companies I have encountered. They push the sales pitch for you to sign up to their Boost package and then nothing. Communication is appalling, well actually either non existent or completely unprofessional. You constantly need to chase so you end up doing everything yourself. The agents do not have sufficient competence and certainly are not proactive, the complete opposite. They have completely wasted my time with weeks of frustration. Avoid at all costs.
We had a visit/valuation from PurpleBricks, I was somewhat skeptical after reading some online reviews. We met with Joe, he was absolutely brilliant! Straight forward and to the point, couldn't fault him. We put our house up with them (Aug-24), and chose to manage the appointments ourselves due to work commitments (the fee was reduced for this option). This was super easy and convenient. We managed to secure a buyer within a month. We moved 13th December! Very happy with their service and saved a LOT compared with high street estate agents. Thanks for a great service 👍👍👍
Very professional service without putting us under pressure. Dean explained the different options clearly and was able to answer any questions. Will definitely consider using Purple Bricks if we decide to go ahead with the sale of our property.
Denise Glover showed us round a wonderful home in Swindon yesterday. She was really friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the property. She was able to answer any questions we had and even made suggestions too. Thank you so much!
The agent was in communication with us and turned up for the valuation. She was very positive about the property and gave us answered on what best to do and not do before selling. We very much like the way everything is online and that people can view my property and get all the details, from the comfort of their own home.
Stefania has been incredible and very friendly and helpful. She put us at ease about the sales experience and shown great local knowledge. Thank you!

“Not as cheap as you might think!”

This is from my personal experience with this company around 2/3 years ago. Conned me into taking 'interest free, pay when completed' option - if you take this you need to use their solicitors, who in turn charge hundreds of pounds more to use than normal. Why? Because they pay a huge fee to purplebricks! The agent, and I'm not kidding here, actually left 2 potential buyers in the house, by themselves, to look around! BY THEMSELVES! You get a stream of rubbish coming from the agents about viewings, open days etc. However, the stream of potential real buyers is more an effluent flow of people trying to low-ball you on price. Avoid these people! Tip for consumers:Beware the small print. The upfront charges are low, they are trying to get money from you at other points. Products used:Sale of a house Service Value Quality

“Caution! May not be the bargain you'd hoped! Do your homework and see if its right for you.”

I wouldn't necessarily put people off using them I'd just make sure you have full knowledge of what you are getting in to. They don't actively do any work on your behalf unless you pay all the extras! 1. There's no leaflets if you want a printed one its at your own expense i. E. your paper, your printer and your ink. 2. They do drag their feet when a sale is going through. 3. They don't have any financial motivation to actively work on selling your property as you pay for the service upfront. 4. You are tied in whether there's a sale or not.! 5. They do not follow up on any enquiries, you have to do all that yourself. 6. There's little to no personal service once your property is on the market. 7. They pop your advert on Right Move then wait! And wait! And wait. 8. They force you to use the solicitors that they are in 'financial bed' with. Not sure how this stacks up legally? READ THE SMALL PRINT! Tip for consumers:do like for like financial comparison to find the real cost. A local agent may better suit your needs. Don't be enticed by the initial cost ££ without considering local agents first. Service Value Quality

“Samantha was a great help”

Samantha was a great help today, showing us around the property, we had chosen. Thanks for all your help. Loved he properly just needed more space for our bedrooms. Thanks

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
