punktum.dk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives punktum.dk one of the lowest trust scores on the platform: 11.5. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 11.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to punktum.dk's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning punktum.dk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between punktum.dk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of punktum.dk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of punktum.dk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. punktum.dk is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether punktum.dk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether punktum.dk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, punktum.dk.

I completely missed the fact that DK ccTLD domains don't provide Whois privacy for physical person. Otherwise I'd never opted to go with DK ccTLD.They ask you to provide your ID, selfie, proof of address. Be aware, that the VISMAADDO verification service that is intermediary, still resends your documents to Punktum DK. I wouldn't complain about it if it was done by verification service that notified Punktum that I'm a legit person and all. But no, they get my data, and resend to Punktum. At the end of verification VISMAADDO says explicitly in a popup: "When the next step is completed, all signed documents will be delivered to the sender." Huge personal risk. As Punktum DK is not even a governmental entity, it's just a company with, in my opinion, their potentially possible security breaches like when Facebook casually notifies about few million account leaks. This is a monopoly in its worst form. With its attributes: bad customer support, fees out of nowhere, etc. It's my first and I hope the last time I will deal with DK domains.I'm sure with such an approach Danish people will just do the same as Swedes did (while having .se they also registered .nu making such a monopoly impossible) - so switch en masse from dk to other cctld and punktum dk will wither away. This situation with "we do this for security" has strong resemblance with Benjamin Franklin's thought: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Dear Sir/Madam,After registering and paying for one year for the domain artloper.dk, despite my requests, I have not received any information. I have written to you, and you have not responded. Also, the contact forms on punktum.dk do not work and do not send my messages. I believe that the entire domain purchase and support do not meet my expectations, and I demand the cancellation of the domain as well as the deletion of all my data. Please inform me that you have complied with my requests and that the domain has been canceled and all my data deleted.Best regards,
I bought a domain a few days ago, and it still hasn’t been activated. They requested some unusually personal documents and only accepted them in English or Danish. I sent the documents, but I haven’t received any response. Other companies activate domains within seconds, but this one has been a complete waste of time. Avoid it at all costs!
Avoid this company at any cost. We purchased a domain for our company's future development in the DK market. Suddenly after some time they just started to ask for extra documents (we are EU EU-based company). All documents from our national registry, bank, etc were not ok from them. They took over our domain and in few weeks it was taken by another danish company. What a coincidence!
AVOID! They have just wasted a day of my life because they failed to inform me properly about an invoice for 70 kroner - their systems were appalling and impossible to work with and they ended up charging me a fee for all the trouble they had caused.
I miss the "old" days where it didn't cost anything to transfer domains between accounts, and domains was 40 DKK each year. It wasn't even that long ago. What bothers me most about this relatively new fee, is that it doesn't even renew the domain on transfer. It's literally just a transfer fee and there's literally 0 reason for it to suddenly not be free as it is an automated process, while also costing the same amount as a yearly renewal, even though that in itself has increased almost double within the last few years. Generally, the new Punktum (formerly known as DK-Hostmaster) has become somewhat of a truly greedy capitalistic company, that started out as a union, and now has a monopoly on all .dk domains, and can literally do what ever they want, without any repercussions. If you want a danish domain, you'll just have to put up with their #@?! Even their 1 star Trustpilot rating doesn't mean anything to them. They'll just laugh all the way to the bank, not caring about the customers reviews, because they literally cannot fail.Truly a disgrace. ---------Reply to the response given from Punktum:If it's considered the same as a new domain registration, it should automatically be renewed upon transfer. So your argument is really invalid. This is my main problem with this fee. If only it ment the domain was being renewed, i wouldn't have any issue at all with the fee.
Tendency to charge large fees for late payment. Poor communication and terrible customer service. Admittedly I am in a bad mood given that this is the second time I've had to pay fines for late payment, but they insist on sending my bills to the wrong email address. I don't have the same problem with any of my other domain names.
Hostmaster is THE ONLY provider for .dk domains. Please explain, how is it possible that in a country with 5.8m+ people the only option to get a .dk domain is through this entitled, braindead company?Businesses use .dk domains, people use it to host portfolios and they rely on their website to make a living, but god forbid if there are any issues. It would be easier to buy a gun than to contact this "business" considering that they only work 6 hours a day, except for Friday where they work 5 hours. How is this monopolistic behavior even acceptable? I can see the "point" of having a unified system that keeps track of all the registered domains for the purpose of security, however I would rather deal with scams and fake webshops instead of being forced to use this trash service. If you do have to use hostmaster, please remember that you will not be using this "service" but the service will be using you.
Avoid this company at all costs. They are blatantly scamming their customers.I've been a customer for 3 years now. After my card was renewed, the payment got declined. To regain access to my domain, I had to settle the suspension fee, which was acceptable. However, just 2 weeks later, I received the same email stating that my domain had been suspended again, despite having paid the invoice. When I contacted support, they claimed that since I hadn't confirmed it on time, they suspended it once more (even though paying a late invoice should indicate my intention to open my domain). They are keeping my payment and adamantly refusing to provide a refund, citing their guidelines. I had no other choice but to pay the exact same amount again.Never have I encountered a company with such a horrendous policy during my career.Stay away!
Why is it so hard to buy a fricking .dk domain? What is this company? You provide them all the documents they for ungodly unknown reasons need, asking for so much personal information I bet they sell to chinese companies... There is a special place for people like you in hell. Timewaster 3000 company. Get rid of it.
You cannot use normal payment channels like bank via IBAN or other normal channels.👎👎.
