Is promdressshop.com Legit?

Bought a dress didn’t fit me and wanna return it and I have to pay a 10% restocking charge. Plus I have to pay for shipping. Never seen a company work like this. Not a company you want to order a dress from.

Couture Candy out of California has same policies and was delightful to work with. Prom Dress Shop - Rude Customer service! Unreasonable - no exceptions and unfriendly. Someone named Jill wouldn't even listen to reasons why the five day return was not possible- one of which the dresses arrived during spring break and we were gone. We now have 2 dresses that have never been worn. They were literally taken out of the box 3 times to try on (less that 10 minutes of total time) Most proms across the nation have not taken place. Very unpleasant people. Unpleasantly shared that other customers have tried to sell dresses on Ebay or Poshmark which leads me to believe this is a common occurrence.

Dress is really beautiful but it shipped 2 weeks after the original ship date they quoted me. Would definitely recommend buying from here as far as quality dresses just make sure to leave yourself plenty of time because shipping may run late.

Scam ordered 1 dress. Paid 2x. Went back and fourth to get details of dress Aug 22 ordered refused refund Aug 25th. I have emails to validate the everything. Reported to PayPal better business BUREAU and my bank to receive monies. Also found dress at another site 1/2 their price.

The dress arrived promptly. However the $500 was just in a plastic shipping envelope- should have been shipped in a box. The return process was complicated and did not have to be. You must email within 3 days or receiving. That sounds reasonable except when you receive it on a Friday when u are out of town for the weekend and get home on Sunday.

I chose to order from this site because the availability of a return or exchange. Buying a formal dress online can be scary, but this process was great! Super fast shipping! Authentic name brand item that was difficult to find anywhere else! The dress came in perfect condition and was exactly like it appeared online.

Dress was beautiful and exactly as described. Shipping was fast. Unfortunately the dress was too big but returning it was super easy and stress free. We requested a credit rather than refund because we plan to buy our next dress here as well.

I was really scared about this dress being different in some way but nope its a genuine Sherri Hill and i couldn’t be happier! Only thing i will note is the straps on the shoulders are WAY wider than my arms, so if you do order it just be mindful of alterations.

My daughter was measured before we ordered and we got a size bigger then we needed because it was a corset back. But the fabric that hides your skin was to small it was about 3 inches to short on both sides. Ended up getting a different dress because wouldn't have time to ship it back and order a different one and it get here in time for prom. Not satisfied at all...

My daughter absolutely loved the Quinceanera dress! I ordered on a Sunday and it was delivered the following Saturday! We chose her size based off of the size chart online. The color, size, and style matched exactly as the website. The dress is of amazing quality! We definitely recommend shopping at this website.

Quality not very good. The dress was wore one night and after the first hour of shooting pictures we noticed there was a spot about the size of a basketball where all the sequence had came off (bald spot). We had not even made it to the dance before falling apart. Disappointing especially after the huge expense of the dress.

I feel that you should have at least 7 days to return a dress without having to pay for return shipping rather than just 3 days. When ordering multiple dresses for prom and special occasions girls need time to try on and compare the dresses and not feel so rushed.

Gorgeous dress and excellent customer service!I ordered a prom dress for my daughter and it was final sale. The size was too small but I contacted promdressshop immediately and they were so friendly and sent a bigger size. The dress is absolutely gorgeous and we got it half price! The customer service was excellent and I will order from them again for sure!

We were very pleased with our purchase! My daughter searched for this dress and it was sold out everywhere! We came across this site on our own online and since I hadn't heard of it before I was a little leary. I dug a little deeper and found out the site was legit and had great reviews! Her dress arrived within 3 days of ordering it! The return policy is a very quick turnaround (which I understand), so I would make sure you plan accordingly. I would definitely recommend this site!

I was a little terrified to order my prom dress offline. I didn’t think that it was going to look the same nor did I think it was going to fit correctly. When the dress came in all the things I was worried about turned out to not be a problem . The dress I ordered fit wonderfully . Their customer service representatives were very friendly and polite .

I purchased a dress from the Prom Dress Shop & from another online dress shop (without properly reading their return policy). The dress from the prom dress shop was too large, but I was completely bummed that I could not complete my transaction with them & instead had to use the other dress shop (with TERRIBLE policies & customer service). I only do not have a dress from this shop because I ordered from another one that does not take returns like The Prom Dress shop does. I received excellent help and guidance from this shop. If I ever need a dress again, I am coming here first.

Selection is amazing and return/exchange policy takes away the stress of the "All sales final" policy offered at most boutiques. My daughters dress arrived promptly and it is beautiful.

This was our first time ordering online from PromDress and we were EXTREMELY Happy! The dress we ordered for my granddaughters sweet sixteenth Birthday which is coming up in September was absolutely Hands Down the most beautiful dress we’ve Ever seen. Very fast shipping. Called to ask a couple questions before ordering and they answered all questions, very pleasant and helpful. My biggest fear was the return within 5 days policy but it fit so no return necessary.

The whole shopping experience with this company was hideous! When the dress arrived, not only did it not fit (the size 4 fit like a size 10!), they were extremely hostile when we asked about a refund. They stated they would replace the exact same dress with another size, but in my case they didn't have the size I needed so I was out of luck. You must know this: they will NOT let you return anything you purchase from them, and their customer service is beyond bad -- they are downright nasty! I wish I could give them negative stars.

“Expensive prom dress does not match the measurement chart”

I agree - should have read the reviews before! My daughter found an nice but expensive prom dress on their website. We did all the measurement and ordered the dress in the right size. Dress came wayyyyyy to big and no chance to exchange it fair even with telling them the sizes would not match the inch chart. Horrible shop, no customer service at all! Don't buy there! I vote for 0 Stars

“Horrible company”

Horrible company. The site and system work pretty well up until the time they get your money. Then, if there is a problem you are screwed. Very rude and not willing to work with the customer at all. How can you run a web based mail orderd dress shop and not offer returns?

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! They don't own up to their mistakes, no returns on anything at all! Only exchange for a different size on same dress! But you pay for return shipping and new shipping! All other websites have same dresses and same prices and actually accept returns! Oh and if ur dress gets damaged during shipping they say "its not their problem now"! Do not buy you will regret!

“Buyer Beware”

I wish I had read these reviews before! This is a horrible company. THEY sent the dress one day before my event. I decided to wait and use the dress for another event. When it got closer I saw that THEY sent the wrong dress. The exterior garment bag is labeled as ordered the dress inside is incorrect. But since I didn't notice THEIR ERROR within the 5days it's my loss!- the error was noticed less than 30 days- I will never order from them again!

“DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE”

The dress we ordered came with a stain on it and no tags. We were out of town when the dress arrived. When we returned and opened the package we were shocked to find the dress NOT in perfect condition. I called the retailer and they told me it was outside the 5 day return policy so they could NOT help us. I told them I just wanted to exchange the dress and they said they could not because they had no way of knowing if we wore it already. I explained that I wouldn't be asking for a replacement dress if I the dress had been worn. I WILL NEVER order from this website again. Beware! Their customer service is awful!

“ORDER ELSEWHERE! Quality and service does NOT match the price tag!”

Beautiful dress and timely delivery, however the dress came witha stain, several holes in the sheer fabric in the back, a tear be the zipper, and some missing beading! When the dress arrived, we just hung it in the closet because we knew we'd have to take it in to have the length altered. We did that about a week and a half after receiving it and the seamstress pointed out all of the quality issues with the dress. So after paying $400 for the dress plus shipping, I then had to pay to have quality issues repaired. I contacted the company and explained I didn't want to return the dress, but felt they should offer me something for the inconvenience. The rep just kept repeating they couldn't do anything after 24 hours of delivery which is RIDICULOUS! When you pay that much money for a product you're paying for quality and customer service. Prom Dress Shop is shockingly lacking in both. So disappointing!

“DONT EVER BUY FROM THIS SITE”

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with, I brought 7 bridesmaids dresses which cost me nearly a $1000 dollars, when dresses arrived they look nothing like the dresses I ordered, I emailed the company as soon as they arrived and they have straight refused to give me a refund saying that dresses were made to the sizes I gave them, I explained to them that it nothing to do with the sizes, and then they tried to blame it on the colour which also had nothing to do with it, the dresses I ordered looked absolutely beautiful but the dresses I have received look like costumes, I am so angry and upset as I now have to buy my girls more dresses for my wedding, please do not buy from this company, I will show photos of the the dresses we're suppose to look and how that actually looked the photo of the blue dresses is what the dress was suppose to look like the photos of the red dresses is what I received which look nothing like the blue ones

“I called them to place an order for a prom dress”

I called them to place an order for a prom dress. The girl took the order over the phone and gave me an order number. 30 minutes after I hung up I got an email saying that the order was cancelled. There was NO order number on it. Since I had only placed one order I was pretty upset that my order was cancelled. We needed a dress fast. So I went to another site called promoutfitters.com and ordered the dress from them. About an hour later I got another email from promdressshop.com that said they had accidentally placed the order twice and the email I received was a cancellation of the duplicated order. Why didn't the email have an order number on it? If it had, I could have compared it to the order number I wrote down from the phone order. I called them the next day and asked them to cancel the order because it was their flub up and I now had two orders for the exact same dress from two different website. They were incredibly RUDE and refused to cancel even though this was their mistake. Never order from them.
