Is prestigestudentliving.com Legit?

I dont like how the flat mates sometimes arent that clean and the flat smells extremely awful and the kitchen isnt that nice and hygienic, and theres this some weird sound that comes every night that is very weird and its annoying but i cant do anything to make it stop because its above my room. I really dont think this helpful although i need to either move out or change my flat.

DO NOT Use This Company - scammers!!They keep your deposit. I asked for mine back 3 days after paying it. That was in February 2024 and now it is December 2024. The person I am dealing with (Amy) doesn’t even have the decency to reply to my emails anymore! Please please don’t use this company for your student accommodation.

HIGH Alert! Think twice before making any payment to them! This company takes forever to refund my deposit. I was told in the second week of Sep by the manager Cassie that the deposit will be refunded to me within 30 days. But now it is Nov 16, has been two months and they still have not processed my refund! I have seen numerous people posting online about not getting their refunds. Scam business!

They consistently refuse to refund deposits based on the number of one star reviews on this site. My sons girlfriend, who is from another country, foolishly paid a year’s rent upfront for her accommodation. When she decided that she didn’t want to live there anymore due to hostile reception staff, she moved to other accommodation. She has arranged another suitable person to take over her tenancy as stated in the rules, but all her emails and calls are being ignored.It’s virtually impossible to get your money back once they have it. Now three months later, We will help her make a legal claim against the company. I believe this is the only way to get them to return the funds.DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND READ THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!

Amazing experience. Have had no problems whatsoever, I have been told by a few friends that there has been problems in their rooms but were fixed within an instant. I would highly recommend for student to stay at The Place. Overall I give it a 10/10

Staying at onyx I used prestige living who are also WeAreHomesForStudents to book for my accommodation and upon booking I used a cash back code for £500 and when it came to paying people I revived less than half. My emails were ignored and this Is poor especially as I’ve paid 350 extra to defer SFE payments to ensure I could stay here

I cancelled my booking with them during their cooldown period, and after months of back and forth emails and endless excuses, they still haven't refunded my £99 deposit. Worst of all, they refuse to give me a phone number to contact them directly on. Stay away from this company! Do not rent from them, especially if you value your money. Their parenting company is WeAreHomeForStudents, by the way, so make sure to flag both of them.

I found that it usually took about 2-5 days to get the answer from your email since I sent one to you. It would be a little annoyed when I have some urgent problems to ask, especially for students currently outside the UK. However, the staff is kind and patient to introduce everything about the apartment.

The building was great for about the first 4 to 6 months. Somewhere after or towards the end of the 2nd semester hygiene standards dropped significantly. The communal places weren’t being cleaned as often—especially the dining room. There’s also the issue which has persisted since I came to Silkmill: the treadmills. I was really excited about the prospect of an indoor gym but having the most important equipment be the only one which hasn’t worked since I lived here is quite upsetting. There’s always “someone coming to fix it”, but it never ends up happening.

Was met with a warm welcome from Jack and Dave.Immediately Jack mentioned all of the things I need know to settle in. This was followed by a tour around the site lead by Dave who helped me solve some minor problems with my room quickly and effectively.Having arrived late at the university I had very limited time to register, having no knowledge of the area it would have been pretty tough…But to my rescue came Jack and gave me guidance to reach student administration building from which I eventually managed to get my student ID card and register successfully!!!Thanks Jack and Dave for fantastic support🫶🏻!!!Room itself is nice and cosy, decent shower, storage space, laundry, heating and all of the necessary shops are nearby.

I recently visited for a room tour, and I had a fantastic experience. The highlight was the exceptional service provided by a female receptionist who assisted me throughout the process. She not only gave me a thorough tour of the facilities but also took the time to understand my needs, ultimately helping me choose and book the perfect accommodation. I’m very pleased with my choice and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and a comfortable stay.

Good service but too expensive. They don't know proper English. They announce on website from £95/w and charge £129/w. Are you stupid? OR are you thinking you are fooling poor student? Just because they come back to you does not mean you charge them as you wish when they are asking something around £95/w. They are students not working individuals. Please use price range and not from £95 to £129. Calculate yourself and see the difference? Fooling poor students

When I first arrived I felt like the studio was much smaller than advertised as well as the gym. The sky lounge is great but is almost always dirty because of the weekend parties and the drunkies which is a shame. Staff are really nice. No smoking policy is bs because I can see many students smoking in the courtyard and although under surveillance, nothing is done to stop it. Tv, wifi, microwave oven, electric stove, AC, are all great. Bathroom is too small in my opinion. Security is fine but sometimes there are flyers slid under doors probably from people who got in from outside. Prices are very high though and no flexibility in some room bookings (must book 52 weeks minimum). Overall it’s modern but has its problems as well.

Onyx is the perfect accommodation for students. The location is very good, and all amenities required can be found nearby.

Accommodation availability is not kept up-to-date. Showing rooms they do not have available to rent out, their entire application portal is very janky and does not work well.

Just when you think you’ve found an affordable accommodation, think again. They’ll cancel your room a month after booking, without warning if you don’t have the very maximum amount of student loan. Massive pisstake. Wasn’t even mentioned on the website.

My daughter is starting a masters program in Edinburgh. One day after Prestige required payment in full for the new studio, they notified her that the building wasn't not ready and they would refund her rent for the delay and compensate her additionally so she could find alternate temporary housing. They are stalling in refunding her the money and no word on when she will get the added compensation. They keep asking for forms she has already filled out. The whole thing wreaks of a scam

I like it very muchhhhh! The facility is new (especially the bathroom) and the staff are very friendly and funny! Living there is very convenient to go to the city centre and bus stops. I strongly recommend it
