Is powertoolsuk.co.uk Legit?

It looks like scam company.I bought Makita battery and I have never received the item. They sent me Evri tracking number, it stuck on second stage. When I cancelled the order no one came back to me.

A word of warning, Power Tools UK lists Items on their webstore as being in stock, when they are in fact, NOT in stock.Placed an order for a Milwaukee M12 detail sander on the 29th Aug 2024, with 2-3 days delivery (should have been delivered 3rd/4th Sept). On the 3rd Sept 24, I had still not received an email advising dispatch and checking my order history on their website showed the order still as "Pending".When I placed my order the item showed as in stock and when checking my order status on the 3rd Sept, it was still showing as in stock.So I emailed and asked if there was a problem to be told..."our stock delivery has unfortunately been delayed from Milwaukee. As the carriers have tried to deliver it twice after 6pm when we are closed!!They are meant to be here today, hopefully they will.This will be with you Thursday/Friday."The only reason I haven't given 1 star is they at least replied to my email in a prompt and courteous manner.That said, all things considered, an offer of upgrading to next day delivery is the least they could have done, I can only assume the fact they did not is because how often they probably pull this stunt off.If I didn't need it quickly I could have ordered elsewhere that was cheaper but had it listed as "pre-order/awaiting stock", I ordered from Power Tools UK as hey were the cheapest price showing as in stock. DO NOT list items as in stock if they are NOT IN YOUR WAREHOUSE.***UPDATE***A day later and still no sign of my order having been dispatched, so I placed a replacement order elsewhere and sent a message asking to cancel and refund my order.Again I received a prompt, but much less polite message stating "Ok, it has left with the carrier, I will get it returned to us. Then we will refund it back to you."Curious, my order status on their website still shows as "Pending" and I have had no emails or other messages from either Power Tools UK or a courier to indicate that the order has indeed been dispatched...More lies ?Either way, I've dropped the rating now to 1 star and I will in future never using this store again.

Took my payment & accepted my order, I spoke to a member of staff via email who never even mentioned that my item was out of stock until over 24hrs later when they just cancelled my order with no reason whatsoever until I emailed them to find out why it had been cancelled.Pathetic excuse that the item was no longer in stock & that I will receive a refund in a number of days.Funny how you soon take the payment but can't send it back soon enough isn't it?If you didn't advertise items that you don't have in stock in the 1st place then you wouldn't keep messing people around would you!Your business along with your pathetic staff are a joke, hopefully you'll not stay in business long with your care free disrespect for customers & their money!!!

Disappointing experience, item never arrived with apparent problems with supplier, despite showing in stock and 3 day delivery,I have since ordered from another company, which have it in stock and are delivering tomorrow. A positive though, the staff i spoke to were polite and helpful and are issuing a refund. Had previously used this company few years back and were great so maybe just a one off.

Only ordered a saw blade. It was out of stock but due back on Monday last (now Friday). Still not received. Poor service and communication on this occasion.Update: it did eventually arrive but had been backwards and forwards several times. Reason being apparently, it required a signature despite the fact it could have been left in the locked letter box or parcel bin. Thanks

Wow, I think this company is still living in the 90's. They had the audacity to query why I wanted a delivery sent to a different address to the registered card address and then when I called up, the woman was soooooo nonselent I don't think she would have cared if the boss dropped dead in front of her!!Such an unprofessional company living in the past. Think the owner needs to read the book Who Moved My Cheese!

Milwaukee super sawzall kit and additional blade pack ordered during second wave of pandemic. Good comms, great price (over £250 cheaper than Amazon), great products, delivered quickly to the Highlands of Scotland at no extra charge AND the additional 10 pack of blades was upgraded to a 12 pack at no extra charge. I will definitely be both using and recommending POWERTOOLSUK.CO.UK over and over! Very many thanks.

I placed an order on 30/09/23 for a Bosch Strimmer (order total £274.50) with the website saying delivered in 2 to 3 working days. I contacted them on the 05/10/23 (4th working day) as I hadn't received tracking details as yet. Their reply started with - 'I'm sorry you feel that way' - shocking passive aggressive behaviour for a company that is client facing. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and they did refund me (first and last thing they did correctly).I get a feeling that there's a group of people running an online business who struggle with the new age of the internet and online selling.Long story short, you get what you pay for and I wouldn't order from here again.

Great service, exactly as detailed regarding both delivery and the product specification. Great price, couldn’t find it cheaper anywhere else. Item did arrive in the box of another tool, however no problems with the item it’s self. Can’t wait to put it to good use. Will definitely consider power tools uk again.

Excellent cyber Monday deal on a Dewalt circular saw. Considering they must have been rushed off their feet at one of the busiest times of the year the delivery came in good time. Was a little apprehensive about ordering from them based on some of these reviews but needn't have worried. What I will say is if you need the tool next day this isn't the place to go to but if you're happy to wait then go for it. Will definitely use again. Cheers.

Selling items they don't have in stock is bad practice. Having placed an order and paid immediately I have been let down 3 days later and now need to find another supplier very quickly.Refunding my payment doesn't make up for having been let down.

Few days of not hearing anything following order but very prompt reply to my email querying status of order and order received two days later. Blamed on c-19 and impacts on restocking which sounds perfectly plausible. Great price, great customer service. Thanks Lumsden and team.

Bought a Clarke Garage which arrived remarkably quickly a year ago (2021)I noticed that part was starting to fail in 2022 and contacted Powertools uk via email. Within a few hours a replacement was promised.While I would rather be able to deal via a call as it seems a bit impersonal to deal Only via email. I'm still inclined to award 5 stars

I have been purchasing from Powertoolsuk for quite a few years now and I have never had any issues at all After reading some of the reviews below i can only say there are some strange people out there who should not be allowed near a drill let alone a keyboardAll of my purchases have gone through quickly and smoothly and I will continue to use this company going forward

Hi has anyone used the katsu 120cm tile cutter. The one thing I'm looking to find out is when calibrating this tile cutter do you just hand tighten the 8 bolts where the bearings are or are they to be tightened up hard with hex key provided.

Dealt with Gary on the phone, very knowledgeable and sent photos of item and how goods would look in different Box types. Friendly and professional, next day delivery. I don’t buy many powertools, but well worth considering. Item is new, so no view of aftersales or if anything goes wrong. For now, 5 stars!

Amidst all the coronavirus upheaval: I ordered a DeWalt table saw one day and it arrived the next. They used Parcelforce to deliver it, so it wasn't damaged. After endless research on the web I found Power Tools UK to be the cheapest and with a user-friendly ordering process, I really could not be more satisfied.

I recently made a comment regarding an item(tent) I received from Power tools it seems this firm has no knowledge of the sale, due to been hacked by a dodgy unknown firm who has yet to be traced. My apologies to Power tools for any damage my remarks may have had

Recycle packaging.Whilst this is a green thing to do , it would be a good idea to inform customers that what is inside the box is not what it says on the outside of the box. Also responding to emails and not answering your query in a condesending manner would be helpful

This was my first dealing with Power Tools UK. I chose to buy through them because of the unmatchable price of the DeWalt item I was looking for. After I placed my order, it was suggested the delivery time would be two to five days. I received it in less than 24 hours!! I couldn't believe it. Needless to say with such competitive pricing and superb delivery, I shall be making Power Tools my first port of call in future!
