Is portmantos.com Legit?

Absolutely THE WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. There’s no way there’s so many positive reviews here. Most likely paid reviews.First, they don’t know how to ship items and they will arrive damaged.Second, when you return an item due to their carelessness, they’ll lie and say they never got it EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE PROOF OF DELIVERY. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

I purchased an expensive handbag from Portmantos on October 17, 2018 through Amazon, and started using it in mid-November 2018. Today, the handle spontaneously detached from the bag as I walked from my car to my office. It cannot be repaired. I contacted Portmantos, and they refuse to replace the item because I received it "almost 2 months ago." This is unacceptable. BAD BUSINESS. DO NOT PURCHASE ITEMS FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a Timbuktu suitcase in a certain style and received the wrong style. Tried calling and got a voicemail as well as emailing with no response. I also paid for FedEx 2 day shipping since we needed the bag for a trip and paid extra for the bag and shipping and came via UPS Ground. I could have ordered the same bag from Timbuktu and received 10% off. Very disappointed in their customer service and lack of response.

I ordered a 3 piece matching set of Ted Baker luggage (one was ordered through Amazon, but the order was filled by Portmantos). they only shipped 2 of the three pieces. one of the two pieces they shipped was from a different set, and I returned it to Amazon and the return was processed by Portmantos. I canceled the piece that did not ship and also returned the 2nd piece that I ordered from the portmantos website, but they claimed to not receive the item even though the shipping said it was received and never refunded the amount. I had to dispute the charge.

Absolutely the worst experience. I wish I could give no stars. Bought $ 800 Worth of Briggs & Riley cases which they say were delivered even though I was home all day and received other documented packages from Amazon. Even in the ups description it describes it as a 10LB package. They refuse to answer any of my calls or emails. I am out of pocket and left bag less. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AND CHECK OUT ALL THE OTHER AWFUL REVIEWS ON AMAZON. How do they get away with ripping so many people off?

Our first time purchasing here. We were not sure if we should buy through Samsonite website instead at first because the suitcases are quite pricey and we were buying 2. But because of the price, we ordered 2 Samsonite Spinner suitcases through Portmantos. Fast shipping. In original packages. The price is the best. We continue to look through the website for more product. We will definitely purchase more items from them. Thank you for your service.

Called before purchasing online to make sure that it was the correct product. The woman on the phone was kind to look it up in her system to confirm. Once I placed the order, it got shipped the very next day, and received the product within two days from fedex! Authentic, original, new rimowa in perfect condition. I will order again here

Very poor company. I ordered a $215 piece of luggage by 2 day shipping. I received no communication, but 5 days later, I received a red $10 neck pillow and was billed $215. I immediately returned the wrong item sent and canceled my order. I then left for my 2 week trip (for which I had ordered that luggage). When I got back, apparently Portmantos decided to ship something else to me and it sat waiting at the post office for over two weeks before I went there and refused it. They continue to refuse to refund my $215, despite all this mess. It has now been over a month and they continue to say they are waiting for something. What?? Very unreliable.Remove review

I fell in love with my briefcase especially the color, I’ve been looking everywhere online for months and finally came across PORTMANTOS.COM I browsed through the site till I miraculously came across my now yellow briefcase. I was extremely exited mainly because I just didn’t want a regular black basic briefcase. I also loved the story of how the founders came about their company it made it that much more meaningful to own this briefcase. Thnkyou immensely much!

Portmantos had some of the best customer service ever! I needed a specific bag, timing was critical and wanted to pay a price I saw online, but wasn't what their catalogue had. The customer service person expedited my order, gave me a super price, and was truly concerned that she met all my expectations and more. I would go to them FIRST when I need other luggage, bags and other items they sell. I bought a $150 price range LeSportsac carryon (no wheels), and they are rarely discounted.

I did not realize this was an online business and ended up visiting the warehouse/showroom. Thanks e receptionist who greeted me was extremely professional and helpful. Another staff person also helped and I was able to make a purchase that I am most pleased with. I would do business with this company again.

After placing an order, I became a bit concerned because I read some bad reviews. Tried contacting them and this was their biggest failure (lost a ⭐️ as a result). BUT…my package was shipped and arrived on time! I ordered a 3piece Samsonite Luggage Set. Best price online and exactly what I expected. Kudos to the warehouse guy who was there on Labor Day and assured me that he had the order and would be packing it that day. He really saved the day for Portmantos and deserves a raise!!!!!

I'd never heard of Portmantos, perhaps because I reside on the West Coast. It caught my eye while I was doing price comparisons for a high quality but pricey backpack. It had the best price and I was leery. I took the plunge and 2 days later with no S&H costs, it arrived at my front door. I'm pleased as punch, do a fair amount of travelling, and will keep this store on my radar for future purchases.

This is second time that I purchased from Portmantos. I am happy to say that this time, they got it right and were efficient in fulfilling the order. A great recovery from the first time, where we had received a differnt size than ordered and had to accept it due to time constraints. I will definitely purchase through Portmantos again. A great recovery and I will be a loyal customer going forward.

This was my first time using Portmantos. Not only was the initial price good, they had a welcome offer to sweeten the pot. They fulfilled my order in a few days. Kim in customer service was wonderful helping with tracking my order as I needed it in a hurry. When I encountered an issue with the product I received, Kim made available several options while working with the manufacturer. Kim was wonderful to work with and I am fully satisfied with my purchase from start to finish. I highly recommend shopping with Portmantos. I will recommend them to my friends and family and when I am in the market again I know where to go.

Awesome service. Order arrived superfast - well packed and it was at the best price on the market today. Highly recommend this business and I am a tough customer to impress yet here I find myself making a bookmark for any future need - my first stop!

I think tracking information should be sent automatically, and even though I set up an account online my order was not in there so I could not track it that way either. However, they have been super helpful on the phone and the item I purchased arrived and I love it. Thank you.

My bag arrived quickly and exactly as described! And I love it! My only recommendation to the company is to make sure the image of the item reflects what the consumer is purchasing. I was worried because the description was a floral description but the picture was a red bag. I took a chance and am glad I did. The item I bought was a replacement for my existing (and no longer available in stores) Tumi cross body bag. I don't care for the latest one in stores so I thought I might be able to find it online. Portmantos had the best price, it showed up quickly, and was brand spanking new! Great experience!

After spending good amount of time, I found this product with an attractive price! I placed the order, and "went away"! Subsequently, they cancelled my order for lack of inventory. That can happen. I understand. The funny thing is that the website still has the same product listed. It is available. But at $13 more than my purchase price! Lack of inventory? I think not!
