pillowpets.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives pillowpets.com a lower trust score on the platform: 40. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Controversial. Risky. Red Flags.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 40 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to pillowpets.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Controversial. Risky. Red Flags. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning pillowpets.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between pillowpets.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of pillowpets.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of pillowpets.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. pillowpets.com is a questionable website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether pillowpets.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether pillowpets.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, pillowpets.com.

very rude and incompetent employees customer service never responds every last single one 800 number the mailbox is full nobody ever answers quality control is crap now they ship their product in a 12 x 4 box completely vacuum sealed so the product is squished and ruined before you even get it and then when you open up the packaging they tell you it’s no longer qualifying for a refund because it’s not unopened material so don’t open your package they try not to let you return it but here’s what you need to do people file a dispute on your credit card never buy anything online with your bank account money use your credit card or PayPal so you have buyer protection all of these corporations are crap sending out crap products lining the pockets of the shareholders and the executives while the rest of us are suffering don’t let them get away with it!!!
I live in the UK and ordered my pillow pet months ago for my girlfriend as a gift. I paid for it and everything and got a confirmation email telling me where it was being delivered to and how much I had been charged. However it never arrived and I can’t get in contact with the company or get a refund.
I love pillows pets I think they’re cute and such a good idea. They attach to seatbelts so you can sleep on the car. They unfold so you can use them as a regular pillow. Or they be used as a stuffed animal. As a person who has 4 pillow pets I highly recommend them.
I received a photo lamp of my deceased pet. Cost me $77 New Zealand dollars with shipping approx. It arrived yesterday with a sticky label on it (where the photo is) stating to remove the protective film. There was no protective film. On communicating this to the company they just said "remove the sticky label". Removing sticky labels at the best of times is problematic but I tried. I ended up with a mess to say the least. I communicated with the company that sadly I would have no option but to return the lamp and to please confirm their Returns Process. Today I received an email that told me what to do."You can just tear it off. If there is still some residue, you can take the board out and clean it, and if there is still some stickiness, you can use adhesive tape to stick it lightly."No info about me returning the item as I had requested. So today I persisted and managed to get most of the label off, it is still sticky, there is residue, and has left an imprint over the photo of my cat where the label was. I won't waste my time communicating this info to them because the company staff member has failed to listen to me.One further thing to note for those considering buying this product. This lamp does appear to have to be connected to a USB device all the time to light up. I did think it would only need to be connected to a USB device to recharge it. Doesn't appear to be the case.I don't rate this product, I don't rate their staff's communication style. I certainly did not feel heard.A disappointed customer.DianePukekohe, Auckland, New Zealand
I placed an order for 2 pillow pets on March 22nd. About a week later, I received only 1 item even though they informed me they shipped together. On April 3rd, I tried calling their customer service phone number but no one would answer and all 3 extensions voice-mail boxes were full so I couldn't leave a message; so then I reached out to customer service through their online messaging, letting them know I didn't receive the item and needed them to ship it as soon as possible. Their FAQ's say it takes them 24-48 to respond to messages and emails. So I waited for a response, and never got one. I messaged them again on April 5th, no response. Again on April 9th, still no response. I also emailed them on April 9th, no response. Then emailed again on April 12th. I even messaged them on Facebook and only got a response from their auto reply bot but never heard back on there either. I finally get an email on April 14th and all they said back was "Which item did you not receive" no apology, no urgency, no care that they ignored me for weeks. I emailed them back the same day and again back to radio silence. 5 days later, on April 19th, they finally responded with "will have warehouse ship again" I asked for the tracking number to ensure they actually sent it, and straight back to radio silence. This is all while calling them multiple times through out the month as well, always with no one answering no matter what time you call, and their voice-mails all consistently full. I emailed and messaged them again today but at this point I have no idea what to do. They just stole my money and continue to ignore me. It's now been over a month and I have only received 2 very short unapologetic emails with no help. This company is scamming people, stealing their money and completely ignoring their customers. No one should ever buy from Pillow Pets or any other CJ Products business.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
