Is petplan.co.uk Legit?

Yet another efficient, speedy and trouble free claim. I wish all insurance companies could be like this. Appreciate I’m going to pay in the long run and pressure should be brought to bear on vet costs but that’s not Pet Plans fault.

My cat 11yrs old Sneaky was recntly diagnosed with diabetes. He was very poorly, in the whirl of twice daily insulin injections, urine tests and changes in diet I was so relieved that he is covered by petplan. To date my claim has beenhandled speedily by the cooperation of the practice and petplan. This has been a bonus and left me free to concentrate on Sneaky.

Our dog became acutely ill and required hospital treatment. Petplan were both reassuring and empathetic and dealt with our claim quickly and efficiently. They are a little more expensive than some insurers but, for us at least, worth every penny.

One of my cats was critically ill with blocked intestines. There was no time to lose, her gut could have exploded any minute. I went to the emergency vet on Sunday night and they gave her medicine for pain relief and to hopefully resolve the blockage but when I took her to my normal vet on Monday morning, they had to operate immediately. They took a massive hairball plus grass out of her gut and after a short recuperation she is like new. But the costs were high, over £3k altogether, and I had no idea if Pet plan would cover them.The two vets dealt directly with Pet Plan and today the whole claim has been paid, net of a tiny excess. Amazing service, I cannot rate them highly enough. Worth every penny of the premiums, which are about mid range price wise.

Pet plan. What would we do without you? I have had two claims paid without issue and with no real wait time. Professional and on the ball without question. Please know that there are people out there who appreciate your customer care and excellent level of cover. 👍🏻👍🏻 I will recommend your company to other pet owners.

Used the online service which was effortless but also spoke to an advisor due to unforeseen issues at our end. Advisor was so lovely...a real human and not some robotic scripted character. A fabulous company to deal with..top cover at great prices.

Having listened to various people having difficulty having a dental claim paid It wasn’t the same for me.We pay our premiums and we got the cover we asked for when we needed it.No hassle,no calls or unnecessary mail,just a quick response.

Payments have increased to nearly double the original price - I was told petplan don't charge extra for claiming, or for age. Looking this morning I may not be able to afford this anymore. So far claimed £400 roughly in small bills, but paid out a large amount more monthly. It's not worth it

Absolutely BRILLIANT from start to finish when my cat Lily tore a huge hole underneath her front leg. The first time in 6 cats over the years that I have ever needed to claim and it has been painless from start to finish. We are well into 4 figures for treatment so far and I only paid my £85 deductible. The vet invoiced PetPlan for the rest at each visit. I have been kept up-to-date by text from PetPlan and by email when the claim is paid. Couldn't fault them. I have 3 cats currently, all insured with premium PetPlan policies and it has been worth every single penny for them to be here in my hour of need. I thought about canceling when the cost-of-living crisis hit but am unbelievably happy that I didn't.

Lots of information about your pets. One thing l would like to say there is no insurance for ongoing condition maybe some companies should done this. I change to Petplan because l was not happy with my other company

My claim was submitted on my behalf by my Vet and from Petplan receiving the claim to settlement was less than a week. Excellent service, thank you Petplan.

We have both of ours dogs registered with petplan and have never been able to fault them. All of our claims have been dealt with quickly and efficiently and we were kept informed throughout the process.

Absolute rip off, tried to make my first claim ever and was told there is an exclusion on eyes altogether even though it was not a pre existing condition and is a new thing. What is the point in having insurance if you can't claim? Happy to take your money but not give any service.

Hello, I've had a new kitten for a week, I also have a cat who, thank God, has never been sick and hasn't been insured so far. From the farm where we got a baby kitten, they gave us insurance to another company and I personally tried to contact them for a week, their online page did not work, I called and talked to a computer, they called after 5 days and I refused to take out the contract insurance with them - for me, such an attitude is frivolous and unprofessional (don't get me wrong, but the insurance for 2 kittens is still expensive enough). I thought about what to do and because when we had to we went to the clinic of Pets 4 home and I decided that they would know what to do. From there they gave me the website of Petplan . I opened it, read what interested me and bought the insurance. It took me exactly 5 minutes. Fast, accurate and understandable for everyone. Extremely efficient in their willingness to help me with any questions. Everything that was required from them, as feedback, I received prematurely and in the most non-committal way for me. Thank you for welcoming us into your extended family. Our puppy is coming to us soon and I am calm because I know it will be added to my policy in the easiest way. I hope I don't have to use my insurance, but I sleep easy because I know you are there.

From the start of making a claim to Petplan paying my claim was very easy. Would highly recommend them. I have four dogs covered by them. They are easy to contact and it’s nice to talk to a person who understands what we need.

With regard to purchasing a policy as I have not made a claim. Search ma y companies for quotes and PetPlan were very competative for the level of cover. Callwd to get cover and there was a explanation of cover and which one would be right for me without any upselling of products. They also pay the vet direct which takes away the hassle of finding the cash in the first place then claiming it back. Of all the policy providers searched PetPlan was the best value and easy to deal with. Also the pet tips on the website and online advice are a great help

I spoke to a lovely man after the loss of my dog. He was so kind and talked through my policy and advised my vets to ring PetPlan so it could be sorted without any more upset to me. I am still insured with Petplan for my cat and will definitely continue to be insured by them for any future pets.

I have trusted Petplan to insure my dogs for over ten years and am still very happy with the prompt settlement of my recent claims. Would definitely recommend Petplan.

Excellent insurer! Petplan have always been extremely easy to deal with during worrying times when my pets have been ill. I wouldn't use any other insurer now - really impressed.

From the start when l could not on line access my cat Teddy's up to date policy the staff on phone were extremely helpful.Promptly received the old fashion way all documents l required by post.Kept well informed of progress of claim.Vet practise seemed relieved we had Teddy covered by pet plan. They commented you are the best insurance processing claims via practise.
